Fastest Recycle Man In Omaha: WM Mack LE Leach Rear Loader Garbage Truck

- This was honestly one of my favorite crews and trucks to ever film. And so rare to see a WM crew hustling like this!
I have found this truck and crew a few times before but it was always on a route with like one recycling bin on each street. So I was really happy this week when I found them on one of the heaviest routes in Omaha.
After talking to the crew I learned that this truck is a former WM truck with a Deffenbaugh body on the back.
It is now less than 25 days until the new hauler takes over😢Personally I find Omaha to be the saddest contract loss in recent history

This wasn't WM, this is an unmarked Deffenbaugh truck when they had the contract for Omaha (Now replaced by FCC which includes many additions to keep the works safe, such as bin lifters at the back, or fully automated side loaders)

I never could stand those small bins, back killers for sure. Great catch though, that LE sounds mean! Love their speed as well.
Omaha started a new waste collection contract on December 1st with FCC. The city now uses 96 gallon carts that are picked up with automated side loaders, or rear end loaders with cart tippers.

Great video Jaden!! This contract is so sad to see WM loose. WM put in a offer for automated but that mayor just is so anti WM. FCC would not be my first choice to replace this contract. Give it a couple months and residents will be calling about yard waste pickup and more carts. Residents are still in happy at the city for getting rid of WM. Most about the unlimited Yard waste but also about the carts. All of the cool WM/Deffenbaugh fleet is about to be replaced with Mack LR ZR’s. FCC Could not have picked a worse truck. Keep up the great work!
Honestly wm had shitty service here so fcc is a fresh start and zr is the best option for here because I’m some areas a front loader would not be able to survive on automated collection
ZR’s are just so boring. One drive from my local yard who transfers from North Carolina said that his ZR was down in the shop all the time. A Python or a Automizer would work better and be more enjoyable to watch. By the way FCC is using Mack LR McNeilus rear loafers in some parts of the city.
Pythons suck for the drivers, ZR is definitely a better move. Honestly Heil products just aren’t great to be quite honest
@@eastcoastrefuse heil pythons rock the cab a lot and the arm needs a rebuild every few years. The curotto would be an ok choice.

Hourly. It's called good work ethic. We're not there to see how many hours we can milk from the company. We're there to do our job as efficiently as possible.
I got paid by the hour and still worked like him. Nobody want's to work until 5-6pm.

Their not his bins, - so why does he worry. In the UK, (where I am), we mainly use large "knitted bags", (sort of tarpaulin material), so when they throw them back empty the only thing that suffers are your plants in the garden. If there is a wind blowing they just 'blow away', some days they are all over the show. Then the Council charge you for a new one.
Good way to get injured moving that fast.
He either moves fast or is replaced. Recycling/Trash Truck Helpers are of low value the companies they work for treat them brutally and when they get hurt they are replaced.
@@JimHunterMartin I was a collector for 25 years, seen so many of my colleagues with bad backs, shoulders, ankles, feet because they moved too fast. You want to be able to walk when you’re 55. I still play tennis after I retired, many guys I work with use canes now, not even kidding

We used the same plastic bins for 15 years! Although I will say they weren’t thrown around THIS much lol.
