Hi Tara! Geoff's lowest recorded note is a B0 (sub-harmonic), he hit this the first time in VP's cover of the 'Halo' theme tune, and has done so 3 times in 'Valhalla Calling' (the follow-up to My Mother Told Me). His latest cover of b'I See Fire', which reprises the characters from Misty Mountains Cold also holds a few surprises for you! ❣
I highly suggest reacting to more if geoff and voiceplay they are absolutely amazing, one of the best acapella group currently producing music on youtube. Great reaction
I always enjoy your reaction and analysis of Geoff's voice and Voiceplay, I wish you would do more. The artistry and genius of his solo work and theirs has increased exponentially. I'd love to here your opinion of his/their latest, I See Fire (Geoff) and In the Air Tonight (Voiceplay).
Love to see Geoff again on your channel! Like you, I can't get enough of the lows. Why can't we get some bass singers on the radio and in mainstream? Let's go!
Love this Tara, thanks for covering this! Geoff is kind of a hero to us bass guys. Slight correction on your commentary: those super lows were actually in the first octave!
Tara, I love your reactions 🥰 You’re SO competent, and everything flows naturally from you 😊 I hope you had your fill of ice-cream in Italy 😋 Sweet kiddie you got, and great Mom-son relationship 👩👦 I consider Geoff Castellucci to be one of the greatest musicians of our time 🌟
Tara, great run through analysis! I appreciate that you don't take "forever" with endless explanations of technical details most of us do not grasp. There is one thing though .... You talked about Geoff, but you didn't say anything about the other four guys! LOL! 🤣😂
It's odd, because I've seen several reactors who say about Geoff - especially when they hear 'The Oogie Boogie Song' when he switches up to those high belts - that his upper register sounds like a completely different person. Even having followed VoicePlay for a while now, I still catch myself whenever he cranks up the 'rock' sound.
Hi Tara. This is Geoff, Jeff, Goff, Geoph and Daryl. (All Geoff). This is just the tip of the iceberg. Sound of Silence and Man of Constant Sorrow should be next.
I love you reactions and how you break down the technicalities. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to watch your reaction to Aurora. My favorites are "in the eyes of a child" " The Seed" and "runaway". She has many many live performances, and the way she uses her registers, and textures of her voice is stunning to me, her voice sounds like glass, it's so clear. I know she also is on the autism spectrum and I dont know if it's because of that but that there is something so raw about her profermances, it's like connecting directly with someones soul. Please Please Please! I hope I get to see your reaction to her.
Geoff has a Wicked Amazing voice! Tara, I know you are a fan of low voices based on your Geoff reactions! Andrew Eldritch of the band The Sisters of Mercy and Brad Roberts of The Crash Test Dummies have low voices as well, if interested in hearing them🙂
I forget which of Geoff Castellucci's songs I heard first, but have to say Ghost Riders In The Sky is my most favorite version. Just like Bing Crosby's version of 'Do You Hear What I Hear' is my most favorite version of that song.
I agree on the Mariah Carey analogy. I think a couple of his other songs showcase his "other person " sound you're describing. They would be "Shenandoah " and I See Fire. Yes ma'am a duet would be amazing! You should hit him up for an interview.
Btw, for the lower range, he is probably mixing a fry with a chest, you can see it in most male singers, there is a really noticeble shift on the lower end, the voice becomes really thic, I don't know how it works, but I notice it on my own voice as well that when I start going towards a low F or E I switch the tone (probably because I stretch the throat a bit to make the most amount of space for the sound?), but anywhays, it's definitely a different tone, I think that could be called a mix (towards the bottom tho and not the top)
Haii Tara, did u heard about a young girl from Indonesia, her name is Putri Ariani... U have to check her doing Bohemian Rapshody cover She's got Golden Buzzer from Simon at AGT... I would love if u do reaction to her... Greetings from Indonesia
Hello beautiful Lady 🎉 please take a look at Putri Ariani performance on America Got Talent where she received Simon's Golden Buzzer and be absolutely Amazed by her voice.❤
You need to react too diana ankudinova singing can’t help falling in love. I think you will really enjoy and I would love to hear your comments on her voice.
not sure if he is as remarkable of a voice but Christopher Lee has also covered this song. Dracula, the Man with the golden gun, count Dooku, Saruman singing cowboy ghost story.
Geoff is so good. But this reaction puts me in mind you haven’t done Home Free in a while. For something live and different from them, search for: Everybody Walkin’ This Land - Home Free Dive Bar Saints World Tour October 2021 Marcia G
Hello Dear coach! I would like to suggest that you listen to the best 80s and 90s style band here in Brazil, Roupa Nova, hits like 'shoes old, beautiful, bossa nova, yesterday, nobody deserves loneliness etc. the 35 years acoustic DVD. Then tell me what a precious nectar it was. thanks.
@ Tara Simon, (I honestly hope you see this) Gene Autry sang it on his TV show titled (Riders in the sky) in 1949, I really wish you would react to it, js me beautiful lady 😊
❤❤❤🎉🎉 amo de mais suas reações , gostaria que você reagisse ao brasileiro Gabriel Henrique música STAND UP, ELE VAI PARTICIPAR SHOW DE TALENTOS AMERICANO
Sadly you focused on Geoff Castellucci, consider listening to Tim Foust soloing as his own barber shop with "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?" for instance. You should also try The Bass Gang ~ Tomi P, Marwan Ayman, Bobby Waters and Peter Barber ~ which had very nice stuff going as a group and each of them solo too. Especially Tomi Pizúr, he covered "Sweet Dreams" (Eurythmics), "Jericho" (Iniko), "My Mother Told Me" and many more, shows off an incredible 6 to 7 octave range.
Funny you should say that about him and Mariah Carey. I can understand comparing Geoff's subharmonics to her whistle tones, but in this song, there are no subharmonics. It's all chest notes, so...
Hey! Could you react to Caleb + Kelsey covering Hello by Adele? There is a riff that Caleb does at about 4:25 in the video that I want to learn. Thanks!

Geoff hits a B0 in VoicePlays Valhalla Calling holds it for 15 seconds I have been told. He just released I See Fire with killer lows.
I believe he hits it 3 times!!
Yes..please..
Yes I can still feel that note
I hope she does a reaction to that one. It’s so awesome! 😃😄😊
another of goeff's covers that are a must would be
Till Then and The Sound of Silence

He went down to C0 in a video about how to go low, it is pretty cool
It's C#0 in fry and A0 using growl at the end of Enemy
Hey Tara, the first few low notes are actually B1s and A1s
I was introduced to his music on New Year’s Eve. He is so good!
yeah, I was like... As and Bs are in even for most tenors, I'm confused :xD
Tara uses a system where the octave changes not at C, but at A since it is the start of the alphabet.
Yes, and she's a Vocal coach and should know that.
I highly suggest reacting to more if geoff and voiceplay they are absolutely amazing, one of the best acapella group currently producing music on youtube. Great reaction

Please do more of Geoff's stuff! And VoicePlay too! They're so good! These are the reactions i love to watch 😊
Geoff's cover of "The Sound of Silence" is incredible, and runs through virtually all of his 5 octave range. Treat yourself to this one.
excuse me. did you just say FIVE OCTAVES?!
@keymasterclark He has recorded B0 to D5, but allegedly can go up to A5.
Sound of Silence is great but under 4 octaves.
@@keyblademasterclark dimash when singing a song with 6 octaves:
I completely agree, My Sister...Geoff's low tones take him to places rivaling Dimash's shifts!!
Insane low notes from Geoff! Really clean, clear, and are just really so good !
Love to see Geoff again on your channel! Like you, I can't get enough of the lows. Why can't we get some bass singers on the radio and in mainstream? Let's go!
You two definitely need to do a song together! It would be so amazing! Please make this happen lol!
Love this Tara, thanks for covering this! Geoff is kind of a hero to us bass guys. Slight correction on your commentary: those super lows were actually in the first octave!
The clones have names, Jeff, Goff, Jeoph, and Darryl. The first on left is Jeff. He is my favorite too ❤
Tara, I love your reactions 🥰
You’re SO competent, and everything flows naturally from you 😊
I hope you had your fill of ice-cream in Italy 😋
Sweet kiddie you got, and great Mom-son relationship 👩👦
I consider Geoff Castellucci to be one of the greatest musicians of our time 🌟
You need more on Geoff. A playlist dedicated to him.
Thank you for bringing him to my attention, Tara! Loved your vid, as per usual!
For me, Geoff is to Bass singing what Dimash is to high tenor. It's that good.
Hers is a Whistle register. His is a Seismic register!
Tara, great run through analysis! I appreciate that you don't take "forever" with endless explanations of technical details most of us do not grasp. There is one thing though .... You talked about Geoff, but you didn't say anything about the other four guys! LOL! 🤣😂
It's always astonishing to look at you especially when he and Dimash singing! ❤ You Tara are always so gorgeous 🥰
ugh that's gross dude.
😁😁😁😁😁😁 Ваши реакции -одни из самых выразительных и забавных! А еще у Вас прекрасные актерские способности!😂
What a great reaction this was.
You can really hear the difference in his cover of I See Fire
Hi Tara. This is Geoff, Jeff, Goff, Geoph and Daryl. (All Geoff). This is just the tip of the iceberg. Sound of Silence and Man of Constant Sorrow should be next.
When are you going to do VoicePlay Valhalla Calling?!?!?…Talk about his lows… at least 2 sustained B0’s..
Hey Tara I just wanted to say I love you and I hope you have a great rest of your day!😊❤️🤗😘😘😘😘😘
I would love to hear you and Geoff do a duet together! Do it!
Geoff castellucci, I see fire
Heck yeah!
I love you reactions and how you break down the technicalities. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to watch your reaction to Aurora. My favorites are "in the eyes of a child" " The Seed" and "runaway". When I was a kid I loved when Frankie Lane sang this song. But this is absolutely great.
Geoff has a Wicked Amazing voice! Tara, I know you are a fan of low voices based on your Geoff reactions! Andrew Eldritch of the band The Sisters of Mercy and Brad Roberts of The Crash Test Dummies have low voices as well, if interested in hearing them🙂
When you see is I See Fire you'll hear even nore of his different voices. :)
His low notes are sub-harmonic! That one of the reasons he hits them so easily! He also has a video on how to do sub-harmonics, worth a watch
I think he's singing his own harmonies.
O Geoff arrasa com essa VOZ GRAVE tipo Mariah ao Contrario...é muito grave essa voz. Adoro ver suas reações...😅🤣😂😙😚☺️😗
It seems you're an octave high when identifying the notes
0:57 is a B1
1:51 is an A1
I would love to see your reaction to Geoff's I See Fire! It almost shows his full 5 octave range! (He can actually go lower...😳)
I wish people would stop saying he has a 5 octave range, he doesn't, it is "only" 4 octaves, which is incredible!
Geoff's range is over four octaves, almost five octaves.
All I can honestly say is wow
I forget which of Geoff Castellucci's songs I heard first, but have to say Ghost Riders In The Sky is my most favorite version.
Just like Bing Crosby's version of 'Do You Hear What I Hear' is my most favorite version of that song.
I suggest for you Ghost riders in the sky of the band Outlaws live on 2007 with two drummers. Amazing.
Geoff's Monster Mash is a ton of fun and a great arrangement too, if you want another to react to.
Love it
geoff did use the "ghosts" as alive in his cover of Unshaken
Geoff is so great and the Videos from him funny 🇩🇪
Your face says it all .......
👍👍👍🇸🇪😎💕
Want to hear unparalleled voice control take a look at Putri Ariani a blind teen from Indonesia on America got talent.
Geoff C sings in both high and low pitches. I'm a musician, so that I can tell that he is doing a B1 and then, later on listen to that G1 sub.
I agree on the Mariah Carey analogy. I think a couple of his other songs showcase his "other person " sound you're describing. They would be "Shenandoah " and I See Fire. Yes ma'am a duet would be amazing! You should hit him up for an interview.

Discovered this video "accidentaly" ...I really love it....he is a real good singer and video...wow
Check out his latest solo - I See Fire. Not to mention VoicePlay's latest In the Air Tonight.
i would love to here a a version of minnie uippleton going high and geoff going low
Haii Tara, did u heard about a young girl from Indonesia, her name is Putri Ariani... U have to check her doing Bohemian Rapshody cover
She's got Golden Buzzer from Simon at AGT...
I would love if u do reaction to her...
Greetings from Indonesia
Now do his recent version of Man of Constant Sorrows. You will not be sorry. :)
Wonderful English accent there, as a English person myself, I approve.
More Geoff and Voiceplay
Check out several of his other covers; Man of Constant Sorrow, Way Down, I See Fire, Sound of Silence, Rains of Castamere , House of The Rising Sun.
You need to wear headphones when listening to Geoff Castellucci and Voice Play. There is so much more you can hear with headphones! 🎧
Hello beautiful Lady 🎉 please take a look at Putri Ariani performance on America Got Talent where she received Simon's Golden Buzzer and be absolutely Amazed by her voice.❤
This is Geoff singing all the parts.
Omg tara u must react putri ariani in AGT right nowww omggg

Posted just last week 😉
th-cam.com/video/RaqZmY2fv1g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=m97VLCZSpdg-2SyY
It is B1 and A1 not 2 :)
You should listen to a song of Matt Corby like Brother or Lonely Boy or Song for interlude (live) you will love it.
You need to react too diana ankudinova singing can’t help falling in love. I think you will really enjoy and I would love to hear your comments on her voice.
He reminds me at Wolverine Hugh Jackiman!
1:52 A1 ))
He hit a B0 in their cover of the HALO theme.......>^^
not sure if he is as remarkable of a voice but Christopher Lee has also covered this song.
Dracula, the Man with the golden gun, count Dooku, Saruman singing cowboy ghost story.

jinkies i wish someone would do "Tennessee stud"
@ Tara Simon, (I honestly hope you see this) Gene Autry sang it on his TV show titled (Riders in the sky) in 1949, I really wish you would react to it, js me beautiful lady 😊
I’m a former cello player. Wish you’d put the low notes on a bass clef so a could see them.
the first singer guys voice reminded me of Josh Turner
Tara, please try to react to Geoff's cover of Man of Constant Sorrow. It's much better than the one by Home Free imho. 🙏✌️
Actually those are A1s and B1s it’s an octave lower not B2 or A2 just correcting you
Need to do a reaction to Riley Clemons’s miricale, and loved by you new subscriber
You should check out Sir Christopher Lee's version of this song here on TH-cam. No joke, the man loved country music. It's pure Epic!
You did a great duet with Peter Hollens. I'm sure you could have fun performing with Geoff. Or Tim.
Shout out to Eli for the lighting on this one!
That in the beginning was a B1.
his fall back is usually an E flat 1.....i know.......same as mine
you are getting cuter and funnier in your videos! ha,ha
I'm still waiting for Halle Bailey's version of "Part of your world" reaction.
Do you ever plan on reacting to more Ren?
My brain breaks when I try to put Mariah Carey and Geoff Castellucci in the same thought.
0:57 that was actually a B1
❤❤❤🎉🎉 amo de mais suas reações , gostaria que você reagisse ao brasileiro Gabriel Henrique música STAND UP, ELE VAI PARTICIPAR SHOW DE TALENTOS AMERICANO

Nothing sad about focusing on a phenomenal virtuoso.
Do we even tell her about the want to say E0 or D0 in Halo?
It's the same guy in different outfits. as you said "these guys"
B1’s, A1’s and a G1 at the bottom 😜
He is singing all five parts
Funny you should say that about him and Mariah Carey.
I can understand comparing Geoff's subharmonics to her whistle tones, but in this song, there are no subharmonics. It's all chest notes, so...
