What makes this all the more sad is that Soap was essentially Ghost’s first real friend, if his dialogue in MWII was to be taken literally. Ghost lost his best friend; his brother. Samuel Roukin sells this with how his voice slightly cracks when he says goodbye. Rest in peace, Johnny.
There can sadly only be one. They learned their lesson with killing off Simon in MW2 in such a brutal way, but I guess the same can’t be said for Soap. They wrote Soap‘s character so much better in MW2022 and gave him and ghost so much development only to ruin it in this game.
I think the ending of the characters will be the same, i have a gut feeling this is where "Roach" comes in as a new member for the team and they'll both die.
Tbh, I think it would've worked way better if there were two big ending missions, one where you play as Soap and Ghost going for Graves and Shepherd and the last one being where Price and Gaz go for Makarov but Makarov kills Price and Gaz ends up being the one to end Makarov
Agreed, I think that was one thing they did better was write their relationship as a group better. With them actually hanging out in the bar in mw2 ending. Showing that they were more than a team

Price ain't wrong. Soap truly was one of the best. Remember the things he did to contribute to 141, especially the crazy stunts he pulled. Man offered himself to be held captive by a mexican cartel for information and capture Valeria, fought off shadow troops with make shift weapons despite being wounded, while being hunted down, and even pulled the same tactic when going up against Hassan and his men. Man's an absolute unit.

The fact that ghost seemingly forgets about the bomb and tends to soap immediately after the areas clear, ghost lost his little brother, doesn't seem to care at that point if the bomb goes off and he dies
That’s because he had that sick character development and was the only OG from CoD4 to survive while Gaz, Ghost, Roach barely lasted one game. You get that attachment with him because he’s the OG protagonist from CoD4
I wish they'd just do something original for these new games. MW4 is their chance to do that but I feel they're still just going to go for memba berries from the originals. Need less of these cutscenes telling the story, should be more in game stuff. If you play Cod4 or mw2 every mission doesn't cut to some cutscene except for the opening mission briefings. The nuke scene in Cod4, general Shepard betrayal killing ghost, killing Shepard were all in game, no cutscene and had way more impact.

Like it was some action movie a few 14, 15, and 16 year olds drew up while they were hanging out. Second, MW 2019 literally was almost all original content, all they did was have a few characters return like Price, Gaz, Kamarov, Nikolai, and Griggs as well as Ghost and Soap with the battle pass thing and bundles. The most I saw that wasn’t original was the part of the Embassy mission where you have to fire mortars to see which was a reference to 13 Hours which was a movie about the soldiers in Benghazi. That's cause it was written better, especially for a realistic death. Poor guy died from a stab wound and bleeding out, just couldn't be saved in time.
Don't worry I am sure the multiplayer will find a way to write him back into the story like they have every other character who died in the previous games.

I haven't played this new MW reboot but Soap, Price and Ghost were the only three characters that I cared for in the Original series. Ghost and Soap's death scenes were so emotional in that one. But in this reboot, Soap dies like he was some side character. They did him dirty, man... 😐

Price and Gaz, although sadden by his death, refer Soap as a soldier who fought and died. Ghost spoke upon it as an actual friend rather than a squad mate. Development from MW2 is crazy.
Technically Gaz has the role of the soap of the original trilogy since MW19, that of being the most "important", while Ghost...well, he is the favorite of 90% of MW fans, and killing him would be ending the Activision offices on fire.
And...I was also surprised by Soap's death, he was not my favorite character in this new line (mine are Alex and Alejandro), but I have to admit that it took me by surprise, since I also thought that Gaz would be killed in this one. delivery...we will have to wait until the next MW to find out who else they are going to kill.

The OG version will still be the sadest version of Soap dying. MW3 (2023) was sudden and shocking. However, the original MW3 had years of build-up, and hearing Price breakdown still hits harder than this version.

I really enjoy COD and how much work is put into it. It all hits so hard and so real. All I can really do is watch the game clips. I don’t own and gaming devices (because I don’t game) but COD is definitely a game I would play and probably Rainbow 6.

TF 141 just lost one of its best operatives, and in a time where every second matters, they can’t waste anything as they continue to track down Makarov. Price, knowing that his team can’t do it alone with Soap gone, begins working with Laswell to find a replacement. They finally find the perfect operative to take Soap’s place, and after taking the necessary steps, finally bring him over into TF 141. His name? Sgt. Gary Sanderson. Call sign “Roach.”

Simon does not use a mask to look cool, he uses a mask to symbolize that he is dead, since after losing his family and absolutely everything, Simon died and Ghost was born. Something like bruno Díaz with batman with a little bit of punisher.

There's 5 things that make this death very all over the place and hard to take seriously! 1. There's NO established reason for Makarov to bomb a British subway tunnel other than to cause more chaos. And he personally shows up to kill Soap, which makes him a generic villain. 2. Soap gets up from his wound to stab Makarov from behind but the *konni soldiers* you can clearly _see_ apparently did NOT see their own _boss_ getting attacked by Soap. 3. Out of all body parts Soap could literally strike, he decided _to go for the shoulder._ 4. Gaz and Ghost arrive *one second* too late to save Soap, plus Makarov would have been shot dead by now (but no, he escapes scott-free). 5. Price's reaction to Soap's death was rather flat and dull compared to the original scene from MW3 (2011) where Price was emotionally freaking out about losing his "son." Honestly, the only good part about this death is the ending where Price, Gaz, and Ghost scatter Soap's ashes into the air. This death scene as a whole felt like it really only happened for shock value. The next sequel "Modern Warfare 4" is pretty much going to blow. This is easily one of the worst death scenes ever in video game history. The only death that is worst than Soap's is Batman from Suicide Squad: Kill the *Arkhamverse.* I hate this Modern Garbage.
Hopefully the next Modern Warfare is like a revenge arc or something. I would love to see Ghost going absolutely ballistic trying to find Makarov to make sure he got his revenge for killing his best friend

There can sadly only be one. They learned their lesson with killing off Simon in MW2 in such a brutal way, but I guess the same can’t be said for Soap. They wrote Soap‘s character so much better in MW2022 and gave him and ghost so much development only to ruin it in this game.

Tbh, I think it would've worked way better if there were two big ending missions, one where you play as Soap and Ghost going for Graves and Shepherd and the last one being where Price and Gaz go for Makarov but Makarov kills Price and Gaz ends up being the one to end Makarov

Man's an absolute unit.

Soap whole funeral scene was actually emotional asf and ghost saying “rest in peace Johnny”was heartbreaking bc they had a bond like brothers.
The fact that ghost seemingly forgets about the bomb and tends to soap immediately after the areas clear, ghost lost his little brother, doesn't seem to care at that point if the bomb goes off and he dies
It does suck seeing Soap go, especially before Gaz and Ghost like the other games but tbh, original MW3 death still hits infinitely harder.
That’s because he had that sick character development and was the only OG from CoD4 to survive while Gaz, Ghost, Roach barely lasted one game. You get that attachment with him because he’s the OG protagonist from CoD4
I wish they'd just do something original for these new games. MW4 is their chance to do that but I feel they're still just going to go for memba berries from the originals. Need less of these cutscenes telling the story, should be more in game stuff. If you play Cod4 or mw2 every mission doesn't cut to some cutscene except for the opening mission briefings. The nuke scene in Cod4, general Shepard betrayal killing ghost, killing Shepard were all in game, no cutscene and had way more impact.

Like it was some action movie a few 14, 15, and 16 year olds drew up while they were hanging out. Second, MW 2019 literally was almost all original content, all they did was have a few characters return like Price, Gaz, Kamarov, Nikolai, and Griggs as well as Ghost and Soap with the battle pass thing and bundles. The most I saw that wasn’t original was the part of the Embassy mission where you have to fire mortars to see which was a reference to 13 Hours which was a movie about the soldiers in Benghazi.

The OG version will still be the sadest version of Soap dying. MW3 (2023) was sudden and shocking. However, the original MW3 had years of build-up, and hearing Price breakdown still hits harder than this version.
I knew it was coming, but still it hurts
and soon the rest (except Price probably) will go through the same fate
I predicted it the moment it was announced
I like the fact that they used the OG MW tragic acoustic theme in here when Ghost was with Soap's ashes... man this hits hard
I started to cry when they were on that cliff and giving their goodbyes. Wish he didnt die and was just in critical condition instead
I can tell after this. Tf141 especially ghost isn’t going to hold back. Soap was the heart of the group. Even becoming best friends with ghost. Now that he’s dead. Tf 141 going to go all out and ghost isn’t gonna let anyone get in his way
I really enjoy COD and how much work is put into it. It all hits so hard and so real. All I can really do is watch the game clips. I don’t own and gaming devices (because I don’t game) but COD is definitely a game I would play and probably Rainbow 6.
Not much work was put into this cod sadly, at least the spreading ashes scene for Soap is good though.

his death doesn't even come close to the feeling of what it does in the OG
The only dude who actually took Soap’s Death in a realistic way was Ghost
The way he exclaims “Bloody Hell” after Makarov escapes is actually quite natural
It’s like when Woods finds Mason, Dead and is like “You Bastard!” It’s not too loud but it’s like the dude is pissed off

Just imagine how Soap’s death is going to change the course of the next game. TF 141 just lost one of its best operatives, and in a time where every second matters, they can’t waste anything as they continue to track down Makarov. Price, knowing that his team can’t do it alone with Soap gone, begins working with Laswell to find a replacement. They finally find the perfect operative to take Soap’s place, and after taking the necessary steps, finally bring him over into TF 141.
His name? Sgt. Gary Sanderson. Call sign “Roach.”

Simon doesn’t wear a mask to look cool. But he does still look cool.
Simon does not use a mask to look cool, he uses a mask to symbolize that he is dead, since after losing his family and absolutely everything, Simon died and Ghost was born. Something like bruno Díaz with batman with a little bit of punisher.

Jesus, the original MW3 story was so much better
because that game was the ending to the orginal series. this is basically a mw 2.5 comparing to orginal series.

@@KevinTheChung Nah, I stopped buying cods years ago to end up buying mw and mw2. I have learned my stupid lesson to come back to this money hungry franchise. Imagine paying full price for something that was supposed to be a dlc and is 3 hours long. What a joke.
@@ThisUsernameSystemF-ckingSucks exactly. it's a 70$ dlc and people still chose to buy it and complain about it even when the multiplayer system is almost the complete same as well.
There's 5 things that make this death very all over the place and hard to take seriously!
1. There's NO established reason for Makarov to bomb a British subway tunnel other than to cause more chaos. And he personally shows up to kill Soap, which makes him a generic villain.
2. Soap gets up from his wound to stab Makarov from behind but the *konni soldiers* you can clearly _see_ apparently did NOT see their own _boss_ getting attacked by Soap.
3. Out of all body parts Soap could literally strike, he decided _to go for the shoulder._
4. Gaz and Ghost arrive *one second* too late to save Soap, plus Makarov would have been shot dead by now (but no, he escapes scott-free).
5. Price's reaction to Soap's death was rather flat and dull compared to the original scene from MW3 (2011) where Price was emotionally freaking out about losing his "son."
Honestly, the only good part about this death is the ending where Price, Gaz, and Ghost scatter Soap's ashes into the air. This death scene as a whole felt like it really only happened for shock value. The next sequel "Modern Warfare 4" is pretty much going to blow. This is easily one of the worst death scenes ever in video game history. The only death that is worst than Soap's is Batman from Suicide Squad: Kill the *Arkhamverse.* I hate this Modern Garbage.
Hopefully the next Modern Warfare is like a revenge arc or something. I would love to see Ghost going absolutely ballistic trying to find Makarov to make sure he got his revenge for killing his best friend
I am not gonna lie, I cried, terribly, when he killed him. Ghost lost more than a friend, Johnyy was like a brother to him. And I can already tell that Ghost will come for revenge.

@@KamiKazeDthis campaign may have been terrible, but that doesn't mean Soap's death was any less emotional, especially the scene where they scatter his ashes, I admited I cried as well

Wish his death had more of a reaction from price tbh, in the previous version he sounded like a father losing his only son, now it kinda sounds like he was any other soldier. Damn
he basically was just any other soldier in these reboots.

well thats cause original price was much more close with soap. the “soap” in this universe is more gaz that soap. the person more close to soap is ghost. thats why ghost was laying there with soaps dead body and his voice was cracking. something you never seen ghost do.
