    Why should you care about building habits?
    Well habits make up who we are as individuals. In "The Power of Habit" by Charles Duhigg, he references a paper published by Duke University that finds:
    "more than 40 percent of the actions people performed each day weren't actual decisions, but habits".
    And so if most of what we do is habitual, routine, automatic, then an effective way to self-improvement is by improving these everyday habits.
    Even small adjustments to your day can have dramatic effects. As James Clear nicely sums up in his book "Atomic Habits"...
    "Habits are the compound interest of self-improvement. Getting 1 percent better every day counts for a lot in the long-run."

      @@djcook good point, I’ve never realised that. The closest I can think of doing is setting a habit that needs to be done minimum ‘3 times a week’.
      Then you tick off for example:
      Week 1 - Monday, Wednesday Friday, Sunday
      Week 2 - Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
      But yeah, i agree this is something they should add! Maybe send them an email!

      Can you make a video on how to create a widget on your Home Screen for this app? I like the features but can’t seem to get a mini version of the slide bars to show up on my Home Screen or Lock Screen

    Is the habit idea section part of the premium version? It only shows a Habit Tracker calendar for me

    Hi Liam, a quick question: I have this app, love it and have a number of habits set up. I will not always achieve all in a week so I use the %Met to track. Ive noticed that this doesn't include any habits which are not 7 days a week. Is there a way around this? many thanks

    I don’t know how to add weekly or monthly targets. So for example, I have 20 miles a month I am going to do. But they show every day as a task and not every day I need to complete. There’s the beg med end buttons but not sure I understand them. Another example is if I want to practice yoga twice a week. Each week it will fall on different days so not sure how to do that.

    Thanks for the video Liam. I really like this app, but I notice that my habits will often autofill on a day that I have yet to complete the habit. When I try to reset it for the day, it doest not work. Does anyone else experience this?

      Hey, when you are creating a habit, you should do the following:
      1. Under ‘frequency’, select ‘Monthly’
      2. Under ‘frequency’, select a value of ‘1’
      3. Under Goals, select your value (e.g. 30 mins) and select ‘Day’
      This would then create a habit that needs to be done for 30 minutes, once per month.

      easiest thing I can think of is setting up a repeating reminder on your phone since it sounds like a one-off habit you are trying to create

      Hey Katerine, that’s a hard one I’m not sure how to implement this.
      One quasi-solution could be to make a habit that is 2x per month, and then as Leslie Dailey says, setup a reminder or calendar event to remind you the exact timing to do it.
      I appreciate it’s not a perfect solution though. Let me know if you ever figured it out.
      You could also consider contacting the app developers, you never know they may decide to update it!

      @@gabartaas3218 Think I figured it out. Use "skip" to not break your streak if you can't do habit due to something outside your control (there's a tornado and you are supposed to do an outside run). If you are just being lazy and don't do your habit, leave it blank.

      Hey when you go to create a new habit, under the section ‘Goals’, you should be able to select a value, a unit and a frequency type.
      For example you can choose, 30 minutes per day
      Or 1 litre per day
      Or 20000 steps per month

    when i add a new habit it doesn’t pop up on the today part. what do i do?

      Hmm, when you create the habit, check what ‘days’ you make it available, the time of day, and also the start date.
      For example, if today is the evening of Monday 24th January, make sure in your settings for creating that habit, it includes Monday, Evening and Start date of at least 24th January. If it isn’t set for those, it might not show up?

    Maybe you went over this and I missed it, but how do you rearrange your habits to an order you want?? Main thing that’s driving me away from the app

      Hey, great question! If you go into the ‘Settings’ tab (the cog icon), then select ‘Habit Manager’, it allows you to rearrange the order of habits. 👍
