★★★★★ UPDATE: Awesome Habits is now available on Setapp! After using it for several weeks, I can confirm... it is indeed *awesome*. I made a dedicated review video, walking you through all its best features, check it out! 👉 th-cam.com/video/1hCmakDl518/w-d-xo.html
Awesome habits looks good. The user interface is clean The vacation mode is a great idea. The integration with apple health is a great feature also if some of your habits can be automatically tracked using a smart watch like walking, workout, sleeping…
Yeah I've started using it this past week (once it became available on Setapp). There's still some things I like better about DayStamp, but Awesome Habits is indeed pretty great (and will probably become my primary habit tracker). I'm gonna try and post my review by end of this week / early next week.
Good question. Day Stamp is not particularly "gamified", so there's not much in terms of unlocking features or getting any kind of bonuses if you perform well. The most that I noticed was a basic confetti animation that played when I reached my goal (of watering plants 3 times per week). Any time you set a specific goal and achieve it that animation will play, but as far as I can tell, that's about it.
@@jaykaslocan you do a video like this on the gamified ones? I like how you discussed habit tracking and showcase the apps features! If you can’t do another video maybe recommend us some gamified habit trackers that are good.
@@Starsailor7 Have you heard of Habitica? ( habitica.com ) It's not really to my liking personally, but if you're super into gaming, this might be up your alley. Also, one thing you might like (that I didn't mention in Habit Tracker, because I don't use it) is that it has a Group feature... where you can invite friends/family to participate in the same habits. Again, I haven't tried it out, but in theory could be good to add a little *competition* and *accountability* into the mix.
@@Starsailor7 And I'm not familiar with any apps that are specifically targeted at quitting addictions, but one thing I will say conceptually is... I've heard it said (and it's been my personal experience) that one of the main keys to breaking addiction is not to focus on the thing you're trying to quit, but instead focus on REPLACING that bad habit with *something else*. For example, if you just keep telling yourself "Don't eat cake. Don't eat cake...." guess what? You're probably going to want to eat cake. But if you replace that urge with something else entirely... like going for a bike ride (or whatever, something else that you enjoy that is *healthier*)... that can work well.

Great. It helps a lot.
Does day stamp have any rewards or unlocked or animations that motivates you as you progress through your habits?
