This is my ALL TIME favorite story of the X-Men. My all-time favorite superhero Cyclops was totally badass in this series and I love how JW used all the characters with such effect and consideration. I wish we had more updated figures for catface Beast, Emma, and Kitty though.
I really appreciate you watching, enjoying and commenting on this video - it was a labor of love dedicated to one of the best comic runs of all time! Thanks again!
@@CarbonScoring you are always so enthusiastic in your videos, and I can see your passion for the figures, you really have something here, and I’m all for it!
I love these videos. It is not just your knowledge, but how you present all the information. I get the sense that I would enjoy watching you talk about how to change a tire while telling me the history of car jacks and tire wrenches. Thank you for making these videos.
Thank you. Like most creators, I put a ton of work in making these the best, most informative and entertaining videos I can - I means a great deal when y’all watch and enjoy them!
I got the PhD in X-Men history because I’m 13 but I go back and read All the comics so and comics explained is a visual comic novel guy so he reads it to you
This is the only X-Men book I read TBH. Hell,I don't read a lot of Marvel books in general. I only read Shulkie comics lol. I picked up this run mostly because of Joss Whedon. I'm a MASSIVE Dollhouse,Angel & Buffy fan. So this run was a no brainer for me.
Tbh, I rlly never got super deep into Marvel. I preety much have lots of knowledge on Spider-Man and that's about it. But your videos rlly do help me understand a lot of the characters more and gave me a chance to know some of these wonderful heroes. So..thanks a lot and keep on making these banger videos!
Do you have a vid how u made those wooden narrow shelves behind u or where are they from ?? I must know !!! I love those and need something like that. Thank you brother love ur vids as well. ❤
When I was reading Uncanny back in the 70s and 80s I would've told you Wolvie was my fave. But going back and re-reading them...it was always Kitty. She was actually older than me when introduced, but thanks to comics aging I caught up in the real world soon enough, and she was really my window into that world. Whedon, despite recent events, really captured lightning in a bottle with this series, though I feel he regressed Logan back to "angry savage"...AGAIN...and that was a mistake. It was a great, epic run.
Honestly you should do this with the Scarlet Spider Marvel Legends by Hasbro in the Marvel Legends Spider-Man toy Biz or Hasbro, Kane either Hasbro or toybiz. And just go all out with the clone saga
With the Shreik figure coming out I could revisit the Clone Saga, but if you haven't checked out my Spidey History series, you should - you would love it!
@@CarbonScoring I have on McFarland story and the Xmen good content honestly. No one on your does that with the figures in with, books trips to see where the story comes from and how the Figures were inspired by the stories.
This review and comparison to marvel legends action figure dollies is superb and deserves the highest accolades; the mega, super, nuclear, atomic wedgie 😄
@@CarbonScoring I hope they make more figures based on Astonishing X-Men, because I would really like to get them. I'd also like to read this comic very much. Even if it does get complicated near the end.
Hey carbon you know how when scott takes off his goggles his powers are almost uncontrolable?. If so would he ever take them off if he needed to go full power? Ive always imagined that to be the case
One of the best comic videos I've seen, u told a story, showed us the comics, then showed the matching figures, dope!
Thank you- I poured my heart into this one!
Fantastic recap of Astonishing X-MEN! Thanks so much!
Thanks, Dan - glad you enjoyed it
No one stays dead in comics except bruise Wayne’s parents and uncle Ben
So true, so true!

Heck yes xmen! The Astonishing xmen are one of my favorite x teams.

Hey CS 👋, this is an intriguing recap of this time in X-Men history and story telling. 🤟🤘🤙👍
Thanks - hopefully my storytelling brought this great tale to life!
Amazing video CS! Can’t wait for the next episode in this series
I'm thinking of going all the way back to the first 39 issues when the were in their original costumes next...

I’m not sure that he regressed Wolvie so much as he kept the spotlight off him, but he definitly showed what a powerhouse Kitty Pryde is!!!

I have that cyclops
Hi carbon
Did you see the new Marvel Legends figures for Emma Frost and Cyclops?
YES! They look incredible and will be replacing these old ones as soon as I pick them up!
@@CarbonScoring I hope they make more figures based on Astonishing X-Men, because I would really like to get them. I'd also like to read this comic very much. Even if it does get complicated near the end.
@@CarbonScoringDo you plan on replacing your Toybiz Wolverine with the newest one they just announced?
@@omnitrixbearer7364 I’ll have to get it in hand - that old toy biz one has such an accurate sculpt
@@CarbonScoring Well, the points on the new Wolverine's mask look shorter. Is that accurate to the comic?
Do s Ben 10 or Spiderman into the spider verse mystery box
Walverine

Good call - he has actually done that a few times that I can remember in the comics!
Spider man gill Kane
If you are down with Gil Kane's version of Spider-Man, I did a whole video on him and Ross Andru - check it out in my Spidey history series
Why so long to see the video lond
it is all about building suspense….,
These look homemade.
