    Aaron, peal the cucumber with a peeler, to waste less. I’m going to try this as I love shrimp and prawns. Thanks Jenx 🇬🇧

    Tip on citrus fruit. Lightly push down and roll it back and forth before juicing. Do that maybe 6-8 times back and forth. It loosens the juice up for squeezing. 😊 you’ll get a lot of juice. Also the limes looked like they still had a bunch of juice. You could always stick them in a baggy and use a rolling pin to squeeze it out and strain it with a small strainer to catch the pulp but to get the rest of the juice.

      also turn the lime over, you'll get more juice out that way also after you roll it, peel side out in the squisher

      @beyondcrazy it might be fun to get a globe, and each week you spin it, and whatever country your finger lands on, you should cook a dish of theirs. If its italy, maybe make pasta from scratch. Germany, make some bread or schnitzel etc. It would give you 200 weeks of content ;)

      A suggestion, why not a presentation with a voice-over at certain moments?
      I feel that you should make videos that have another style than the family vlogs and even the podcast.
      Good luck testing recipes and keep in mind: Too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the broth.

    love your cooking, nd the kids helping is so nice. some TIPS for next time: 1) all citrus, roll them for a bit or microwave them for like 10/15 sec. to get more juice. 2) in the squeezing press the lemon/ lime or whatever go upside down so the lime will pop out the other way wen it free all the juice 3) the press you used is for lemons so it may be one of the reasons that doesn't squeeze all. 4) for the onions I usually put them in a bowl with hot/ worm water before use it dissolves the membrane on the onion (must take the first coat (the one is not eatable) 5) you can use white fish also and it all other level!! love from argentina! 🥰

    • @beyondcrazy
      @beyondcrazy  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It was weird because we rolled the limes a bunch and they still didn’t provide a bunch of juice. I’ll definitely try the microwave trick next time. Thanks for the tip!

I thought they had to be in the fridge! // The chicken/egg thing also really interesting... did not think of the fact they get cleaned and that messes with the time its fresh... Cool! I usually use a spoon for the avocadoes, then less is thrown away./left in the "shell" thingy :)

    Try making ceviche without Clamato. Season with the lime, pepper, and a small dash of salt. Avocado, cucumber, and fresh pico de gallo plus shrimp and you’re good to go. You cut out preservatives and additives by eliminating the Clamato. Plus you’re less likely to have any tummy acid problems. If you really enjoy the Clamato then you’ve got to try Mexican shrimp cocktail. It’s delicious.

      If it’s not cooked, the marinate cooks them so yes it needs the acid to cook them. If it’s not cooked it doesn’t necessarily need it but I’m sure it made it taste better
