Pre Recup/Vendetta is Hotfixed this is a better rotation than the video above use Synapse Springs Sinister Strike / Revealing Into 1 SnD Immediately AR use trinket after Synapse Springs Spam alot of sinisters / 1x Revealing with eviscerate to get yellow Guile and only do eviscerate until red guile has ran out, if u find urself with 3-4 CP and 2sec left of red guile JUST EVISCERATE, its more dps(always make use of gouge, it helps with the last combo point but make sure you macro it with /startattack and press the button twice so you dont miss a single auto attack) #showtooltip /cast Gouge /starttattack #showtooltip /cast Eviscerate /startattack Killing Spree on Red Guile while you're low on energy after red guile is fully done you start rupturing during no guile or green guile
I'm a total new rogue player and I finally got ilvl 346 but i want to be efficient with my rotation. Would you mind explaining a little bit about this rotation if you don't mind? I feel like im leaving a ton of damage on the table. For example I always miss auto attacks after gouging and didn't kno I could make a macro to make sure i don't. When making the gouge macro. You said make sure I press gouge twice correct? Is there a reason why I press twice if the macro is written correctly? Also what is pre recuperate mean? So I stealth, get behind target. Open with ambush or garote and immediately recuperate? Follow up with synapse springs, pop trinket, and then use sinister strike and reavling strike into 5 cp so I can cast slice and dice. Do I have this right so far? Once SnD is up hit AR. Then while AR is up just spam sinister strike and eviscerate until red guile runs out. ( am I using any gouges or alternating strikes in this phase while AR is up? I assume yes Then for the macro...the macro I am making is everything you wrote which includes the eviscerate also yes? Or is that showing that my evis should also have a macro with /start attack also
@@RedFoxRR Not really, because of the talent improved SnD and specially the SnD glyph, 1cp SnD becomes the best time/cp investment and last long enough to do your normal rotation spending more cp into Eviscerates (rupture is just minmax and theres no real need to worry about it if you are not parsing tbh) without having to spam 1cp SnDs. Just remember to always have it up.
Hey man do you have a weakaura or addon for insights? I’d like to be able to display green/yellow/blue in the center of my screen but I’m not too keen on making auras myself.
ive got 2 questions #1 why gouge if your stuck at 4pts when SS is 5 Energy less and does dmg and #2 isnt Rupture a dps loss over just eviserate? I Checked your logs to see like how many times you where casting it per fight and all the orange parses had 0 Rupture cast! GREAT LOGS BTW! Thanks for the video im just new to rouge and am trying to get a hang of it! Im currently #1 Prot Pal for heroic 10 on my server I legit only play 4 tanks so dont take my questions as me sounding like a dick im just curious thanks!
hey, yes this video is very outdated and i didnt give proper info, but as stated on pin comment i fixed the issues. gouge is only 15 energy because of its talent points, its only good to gouge if ure in red insight aswell, as you will only delay getting to red if u keep gouging beforehand
@@Lashthetrash Oh ok I see right now gouge was more energy then ss but I was using leveling build but im gunna change it but thank u that helps aton.I needed a class i could enjoy and raid lead on with ease on my off days and rouge kinda fits it
when following the reforging section and copying your settings, the addon is trying to change hit into spirit. looks like it's doing the same for you in the video. is that correct?
does the pre-pull recuperate keep its energectic recovery effect when switching specs or is there a different reason to use recuperate over slice and dice pre-pull?
Hello there..i have pretty decent gear, almost same stats as you 355 ilvl with BIS weapons and trinkets, same 2/4 set pieces, but i sim 24.9k meanwhile you sim 28.9k Where am i losing 4k dps o_O Are you using different duration fight ?
You only need 6.5% exp for dodge cap. Being behind your target is main priority, having exp at 26% just makes it bullet proof to attack enemies from the front without worrying if they will dodge or parry your attacks. This early into the game put most of your reforging into haste/mastery while making sure your hit/spell hit cap are good. 5.5% exp for humans while non humans need 6.5%. You are wasting dps output by reforging so much expertise when it’s just not necessary. End game is when you want that much exp. Most of the time you will be attacking from behind on your targets to make sure they don’t parry you.
way too much hit, i think the addon is bugged for combat as its the only spec that has buggy reforges. try changing it around till its between 13-15% hit and 26% expertise
that is very true, i was a SoD brain and thought redirect doesnt actually last more than 10sec on the target, but ye ive just realised this. although you can only do it on 1 attempt since trash is dead after
The only time you should rupture is 5 CP with a RvS debuff on enemy with no guile at all. Not even green guile. Once you get green guile you absolutely do not want to rupture. Some say it’s a small dps increase and others will just say to keep using evis no matter what. From what I’ve seen there is a small increase from using rupture with no guile but you need to be precise with it to make it work
@Lashthetrash it's 17% for spell hit cap, not 15, although not always nessesary for combat to hit it. Guile works on a counter, each ss or revealing adds 1 to the counter, 4 are needed to get into the next insight. Reforge section is completely wrong. You need weights for haste and mastery, with the 'at least' under melee hit and expertise, the far right column populated to give the stat weight after that cap has been reached. On pull, AR is actually used first so your first KS is used during deep insight, with the prio flipping after that during the fight. That's what I remember from watching yesterday.
15% spell hit was mentioned due to only needing 8% melee hit for special attacks but yes, 9.4% hit and 17% spell hit is the ideal place to be in, ure correct about insights, i never noticed how they worked. ill try and do AR on pull and KS on red to see how it goes, ty for your contribution

Awesome guide. Just really confused on the rupture bit!
Glad it helped!, rupture only happens during no guile or green

try doing 300 haste, 275 mastery, then only have melee hit cap and expertise cap on atleast, remove the other 2 and see if it will be fixed or not

Rotation does not follow what everyone else is saying. There are sims showing different rotations have higher dps. What’s going on??

doubt it, something is for sure missing in ur settings of rotation/talents etc
Why is everyone using a dagger in OH instead of a Sword/Axe/Mace?
theres none, u want the fastest offhand possible and the only options are 3-4 daggers in the entire game atm
Silly question, but is there any reason to use a swing timer in Cata? :)
not rly

i did this on the reforging part and it reforged all my gear to hit pretty much lol i now have 22.01% hit 26% exp is that ok? or too much hit
way too much hit, i think the addon is bugged for combat as its the only spec that has buggy reforges. try changing it around till its between 13-15% hit and 26% expertise

No need to use rupture in cata combat. You’re wasting points and trying to balance rotation too much.
