is this model valid for metal only or can be used for plastic?

@@24schoppindafield Ali said "both" as in "it works for metal and plastic," not as in "both valid only for metal and usable for plastic." That was just poor wording.
But if you're wondering why it works for metal and plastic alike, it's because the stress-strain curve can be customized with data points - see 8:46. Any differences between the behaviors of metal and plastic can be accounted for in the shape of the curve.

هل يوجد حل ام ان اصدار الجامعه التعليمي لايحوي هذه الخيارات

I want to know why the simulated necking position is not in the center of the sample, shouldn't the stress state of the sample be completely symmetrical?
Sometime necking not happening in the center because the condition parameters of testing are not ideal as we studied.
Why modulus of elasticity is less than the UTS and the YS? Suppose to be larger than any of those?
It's likely a typo - probably meant to put "GPa" for Young's modulus rather than "MPa." Though 260 GPa seems a little high for steel.

اريد ان اسال ليش سوليدووركس لا يعرض لحظة انكسار المعدن هل هذه هي نقطة ضعف هذا البرنامج مقارنة مع برامج اخرى.

بالفعل السوليدوركس لايظهر الكسر المتوقع حدوثة بالمقارنة ببرامج المتخصصة في محاكاة مثل Abaqus او ansys وغيرهم.
Is this possible to do without the real world data? Can you make solidworks make graph estimate?
You must define real material data To get reasonable solutions.
What does the strain number mean? It doesn't have a unit in solidworks. How should I go about understanding the strain value.
Do you mean poisson ratio?
The ESTRN value in strain results.
Can i know how to obtain the elastic modulus, yield strength, and other strength from the stress-strain curve ? Since the stress-strain curve is not linear, so how to calculate exaxtly for those data?

@@AliNasser yup i have the experimental data , but im not sure how to calculate correctly. Also, i want to ask is why you dont need to key in the modulus tangent and the error will not come out when you running the simulation becuase i having this problem when running simulation
So the goal is for the yield strength to be higher than the values on the von misses so it doesn’t fail?
The failure occurred when pass the Ultimate strength.
I have a error the first point on the plastic curve is at origin (it must be the yield point)(curve no.=1) i did the same ,what i have?

Firstly you need to define stress - strain curve for applied material to get your desire.

اغلب الجامعات لديها نسخة تعليمية للطلاب ممكن تطلبها من جامعتك اذا لازلت تدرس.. إما اذا كنت تحتاجها للعمل فلابد ان تشتري شركتك نسخة لك..

It's not available in solidworks simulation. You can do this in Abaqus, ansys and comsol.
