OMG. OMG OMG. I was cracking laughing outloud... I have seen this heat press from Ricoma and wanted it but have not found reviews yet, and it is pricey, so I don't mind paying the $$$$$ but wanted to see some reviews... so I can hardly wait for your reviews.... HOWEVER, it was so funny see you guys trying to figure out how to open it, I had seen a video before (not a review), and knew it was the little bolt, yes, the one laughing at you as you kept missing it... lol... I knew it was a slide out, one of the main reasons I want it, and the comedy turned to horror every time you guys tried to place the fabric on the lower platten, I kept closing my eyes "Oh No, you are too close, is super hot"... but you guys didn't... whewwwww !!!!!!!! For temperatures and times always follow the vinyl or product recommendations, it all differs... BUT I LOVE IT... AND CANNOT WAIT TO SEE YOUR REVIEW... Are you going to have a link to purchase it with a discount? It surely will be great for appliqués.... can hardly wait !!!!

I love my heat press. I got it to apply vinyl to shirts, but mostly use it for applying interfacing. I have a large teflon sheet attached with magnets to the lid so I never forget to use it. The heat press makes applying interfacing so much faster and more enjoyable, and it does a much better job of adhering.

Glad for your introduction, TY. I am concerned about the hot teflon sheets outgassing (hot teflon fumes are known to kill birds). 20 or 30 years ago at quilt shows there was a woman selling ironing board covers, I think they were some kind of fiberglass. I wonder if that would protect your fabric but not outgas. Anyone know about this? Large fiberglass sheets are available for car repairs (you might have to figure out how to bind the edges). TY if anyone has information on this.

Also spoke to a representative which told me I have to pay 25% restock fee and shipping back to them even though it came out the factory faulty 😂! Don’t do it to yourselves! And no the lips don’t line up because of the sliding bottom. It’s because the top plates is finicky and moves a lot and wants to spin in a circle and corners don’t align Most of the people that made videos are the ones that got it sent to them

    Hi,
I received my Ricoma heat press on Saturday, January 29, 2022. The box was open upside down. The magnetic piece for the auto open is not connected on the machine. I called the company and they told me they would send me some screws, as if I know how to connect the part. I'm so upset about this. I paid for a NEW heat press and now I have to connect parts. That is crazy. They told me to take a picture and send to them. It looks like my heat press was a used; because the magnetic piece is off, the cord was up wrapped, and the manual looked like it was used.
I paid for a new heat press and it looks like I received an open box heat press. Ricoma told me to take pictures and send to them. Told me maybe the magnetic part came off during delivery. Why are the screws missing?

heat press will save your life for interfacing. You won't ever want to go back to iron for that.

I’m so excited to use it with some bags! I cannot stand interfacing, it takes so long. This will be great

This is so nice...Unfortunately it will never be anything I could afford....I have to use an iron to do htv and pray I stand on it long enough or enough times for it to stick....But a girl can certainly dream....sometimes ,maybe they come true...oh wait...that’s in fairytales....🤷🏼‍♀️
