She is a different kind of runner. She doesn't look like she's moving fast when she runs. Her cadence is slow but she's flying. Its a very efficient long stride that doesn't use a lot of energy. She is a very special runner.
Very special indeed and your right it doesn't even look like she is running fast but she is flying down the track. Once in a generation talent that is here to stay for a long long time.

@@justina9914correct! Dinka people have very long limbs. Manute Bol, Lual Deng are two basket ball players from her ethnic group. Dinka are also known as the tallest people in the world. Many Dinka came to the US 20 years ago as refugees ("the Lost Boys and Girls of Sudan"....now South Sudan).
She is the most versatile track and field athlete ever. She can run from 200m to 1600m.

@@Iskazi3285 That's not true.. lol she could easily be running low to mid 24s. Just like everyone on my state assumed cause this kid was running 1:03 could run 30 or faster in the open 200. He's running 31s.
we really really need more athing content...the ammount of times shes stood on the pedestal while breaking records and times every meet she competes in from these two past years is insane

Coach Jennings is the man! He taught me a lot about coaching, especially the 800m. I used to coach age group and Trenton used to have Tuesday night meets during the summer (1997). Best experiences EVER.

She set the 600m record at Ocean Breeze Staten Island. Which is especially interesting to me, as a Staten Islander. Actually, at the same meet that she set the record, my son ran on the winning team in an exhibition 4x200.

I followed Alison Felix from the time she started to now retirement, now I have another queen to follow... I missed watching her final race at the trial in person since I had to drive back to TX. But I will be in any other race that I can go to yelling my lung out cheering for her.

She has as smooth and steady of a stride as anybody can have. When she changes gears, her torso stays quiet and this makes her very deceptive to those who were once running along beside her. She can gain 2 strides in 2-3 seconds without looking like she is doing anything any different. Once she passes……good luck.
