I did my first dash day before yesterday as a trial to see how it would go. In just over 2.5 I made $59.75. Am doing the dinner hours this evening to compare. My goal is to pay for gas, groceries, and a few bills a month while being flexible for my kids' schedules

@Michael Gusovsky there’s lots of write offs and I don’t pay taxes if earn under like 15k per year so somewhat part-time I don’t pay taxes

As a independent truck driver also, I also doordash which is a very smaller version of truck driving. The key thing is to say no to cheap freight or cheap orders in this case. If your miles is higher than what you're expected to be paid, refuse it. Your goal is to try to make anywhere over $2 per mile. The higher the better

Living in Texas, I ALWAYS decline Chic-fil-A and Whataburger unless it's at least $2 per mile. That's a guaranteed 15 min wait minimum every time.

I just had my first day door dash n agree I will not do another chick fil A order found out we have 2 locations on same street 3 blocks from each other one is in a mall I have to upstairs to food court n another 3 blocks away parking very difficult (small parking lot) on same street was very confused but wiser now now I know we chick fil A in the mall ( I’m not a mall person) to hard to park n fight crowds to get in food court 😂learning curve 😂

I’ve had several dd deliveries where I text the customer to let them know I’m waiting for their order, then I click confirm pickup & see that it says “do not text customer”😬 I feel like those instructions should be on the first visible page!

I have a buddy of mine that his wife and his son drives for door dash and when he’s not driving dump truck he also drives for door dash and he’s been trying to get me to start driving as well and I checked out your video and you answered a lot of my questions just by watching your eight minute video thank you I’m seriously thinking about doing it being I have some downtime from driving students to and from school

Ive been doing UE for a few months and a couple weeks ago started doing DD as a a backup/multi-app option. I gotta say I really hate the DD app. UE is is so much easier to use, I also find it easier to make a lot more money on UE

I dislike when there's an issue with an order or something and you call the customer to let them know what's going on but no answer, no text from the customer. I mean honestly it's exhausting at times!

I started door dash today only worked 1.19 hours made 17.00 not bad I was like oh cool and loved it. Had my kiddo with me though. Did taco cabana for both orders but taco cabana waited till I came into their establishment to start making the order. But still was very fun
Hi. I've been doing UberEats for a week and love it. And just was finally able to sign up in my area to deliver for Doordash today and was basically already approved to Dash! In Uber Eats I have opted out of alcohol deliveries and any orders for shop and pay. In this vid you said the order was already paid for and ready to go. What is the "Red Card"? Will you get orders that you have to pay for or orders for alcohol or can you opt out of those UP FRONT so you don't even get them?... OR do you have to review the order in full when you get the request to see if you have to shop and pay or if there is alcohol involved. Great vid walk-thru, thank you for sharing!

I do not live in a big city, and live 5-6 miles from the closest store. I know living that far out, I have to tip well to make it worth someone’s time/gas to bring it to me. I tip no less that $10, and more more if it’s a large grocery delivery. If I had deliveries all the time, I wouldn’t be able to afford to do that, but I usually only get stuff delivered a couple times a month, so it’s worth it to me.
Get up and go get it yourself if you don’t want to tip drivers.

Thank you for a clear explanation of how it works. I watched a beginner video from some kid who was profane and door dash wasn't clear on how to do this. However, you made simple and understandable. I did one but and canceled order cause i couldn't find restaurant or know where to deliver. I may try again. But, i need to know how to make it worth the gas and other expenses as a beginner. It stays it takes up to 20 minutes per order. How do you make money, make the most orders with time? God bless and keep doing good videos.

Your acceptance rate goes down every time you decline an order. You will never stay in the tier level unless you accept the majority of orders

Just did my first day. I made 126 in a little over 5 hours. The only other delivery app I have used is instacart. This was way better then that mess. For the most part I enjoyed dashing. Thanks for the video!
the only issue I have is that the app doesn't tell you exactly where the person lives until AFTER you've already accepted and picked up the order. at that point you're kinda stuck.. the other day I picked up an order 2 mins away (around the area i scheduled), only to find out I had to drive 30 minutes into an area I've never been to. I'm not sure why they haven't fixed that yet.

Watching this before getting out there to try it out. I use to do postmates it was not worth it they wouldn't tell you how much you would make until dropping the food off. They ended up getting sued because they were stealing from drivers and keeping some of the tips. Gas went up and I quit. Hoping door dash is better to me as a part time income

How does it work with missing food items? I'm guessing they don't want you rummaging through a bag to make sure everything is in there right?
I just blame it on the restaurant and DD since we can't open it and check. I agree and side with the customer always.
