Yet another amazing John Sykes song. To Whitesnake newcomers: almost all the guitars in the 1987 Whitesnake album were performed by John Sykes, one of the Top 5 heavy rock guitarists of all time.
I love this lineup of Whitesnake but no one can play Bad Boys like John Sykes -- he wrote it and recorded it. John just has that powerful "ooomfff" to his tone.
@@FrankCastlesConscienceThe fuck are talking about? Sykes fans seem to think he played rhythm guitar at the same time as lead. You've probably never touched a guitar.
Wow thats one hell of a line up Coverdale put together. All around masters of their instruments. And the sound shows, best sounding live show ive seen.
Back when bands put on outstanding stadium gigs worth the money. They're all f**king brilliant, but Doug's the only guitarist anywhere near the great John Sykes; who, by the way, is criminally under-appreciated.
The best version from their best concert, Live in the Still Of The Night London 2004, yes it's John Sykes and David Coverdale song, but this is my opinion and this concert is untouchable, end of
This is metal! This IS ROCK! First band I ever saw, they "opened" for Motley Crue on the self titled album. OMG that show almost klilled me! Sound for days and days in my head. Loud, brutal rock!
I would love to see a reunion with John Sykes. I don't care what happened in the past. It can't be bigger than this great moment at Whitesnake's history. No egos.. Just fun and good music.
Coverdale asked him in the early 2000s before he put this lineup together but Sykes wanted 50% of the money! His ego is out of control which is why he can’t work with anyone or release anything. Real shame.

hi - i directed the dvd. yes you can buy it on amazon ! it was recorded in Hammersmith, London only a couple of years ago. and though i say so myself - its rather good!!
There is no way I could have done it better Whitesnake David Coverdale rock and roll stamp baby rock and roll the most underrated band in the world you guys rock it right
Tommy Aldridge, well into his 50s when this was was filmed, drumming his ASS off just like he must have done aged 19. NEVER lose the hunger and passion for what you love to do =)
Totally agree with Manaloja. I had the pleasure of seeing this lineup up close in 2005 and was completely blown away at their energy and tightness. Aldridge went into a killer drum solo in the middle of "Crying in the Rain" (I believe), at one point throwing away his sticks and pounding on the set with his bare hands! Friggin awesome!
This is John Sykes's song and he really knows how to play it live on stage...he gets the beast mode on and sings damn good at the same time...a monster!
I agree, one of the best. Also, it was not Zakk Wylde that originated that large pinch harmonic bend/squeal, John is the original of that technique that thousands of metal and rock players incorporate in their sound -- and he also plays a Les Paul.
Bom demaaaaaaais. O caras mandam super bem. Isso é que é música de verdade. Infelizmente nosso país colocam nas paradas de sucessos tais como Lepo Lepo e lixos desse tipo. Ainda bem que temos o conhecimento do que é músicas de verdade.
I am glad of all the love John Sykes is getting here, way overdue
I still rate 1987 as the best heavy metal album of the 80's supremely heavy, awesome solos, catchy hooks amazing musicianship it's got it all.
Tommy Aldridge just killing it!!👍👍👍🙌
he still does
As usual.
Hats off to Doug Aldritch for doing this song justice by reproducing what Sykes created accurately. The tone, riff, solo, everything sounds great!
No doubt. Fantastic playing here. Simply fantastic playing.
Nothing like Sykes!
Absolutely, one of my favourite players… Rebs solo was perfect too. Great performance
@@scottpolasek3770calm down boomer bitch
Sykes was the guitar player, Aldrich is the 90yo drummer…you mean Reb Beach, WINGERS guitar player..yeah he’s crazy good.
Yet another amazing John Sykes song. To Whitesnake newcomers: almost all the guitars in the 1987 Whitesnake album were performed by John Sykes, one of the Top 5 heavy rock guitarists of all time.

Please bless them. I'm a foreigner, but I've never heard a metal song that captivates me in such the good way!
If Sykes can't be there, Aldrich is one hell of a substitute. This is easily one of the best concert dvds I've seen.
Come on, mate! This IS the undisputed greatest one, probably followed by ACDC live in River Plate Stadium in Argentina.
Aldrich Is my Fav Guitar player he's nuts
Easily
aldrich is the second best guitarist of whitesnake. Hes the only one who respects johns work and even does the solos justice
I love this lineup of Whitesnake but no one can play Bad Boys like John Sykes -- he wrote it and recorded it. John just has that powerful "ooomfff" to his tone.

JS was the man
Nothing like Sykes at all bro
Exactly. John Sykes is the Mastermind of this song
The ageless Tommy Aldridge. The man is simply a machine back there on drums.
Excellent performance, especially by Doug Aldrich and Reb Beach 😀👍🎸 !
Yep, they ALMOST manage to cover between them what John Sykes can do alone 😏
@@FrankCastlesConscienceThe fuck are talking about? Sykes fans seem to think he played rhythm guitar at the same time as lead. You've probably never touched a guitar.

Try to work out a bit myself so I will not be a lazy fucker near to 50. But damn, Aldridge he is superman. He never get old
Una de las canciones en vivo más potentes de principio a fin. Esto es ROCK.
It´s so nice to see David so proud of his choices for the band - Doug Aldritch, specially - and he´s damn right to feel that way.
Tommy Aldridge is just awesome on the drums!!!
There is the song that will never get old!
both guitars awsome my main influence, drummer love him too, of course coverdale
