Funny how Ina and Sana the 2 biggest sweethearts in EN are associated with the ancient ones.

Apparently the guy who made this is a real high level Anime animator in the industry and he did this as a personal side project.

@@YoSunnyP Yeah, he was working on it in his spare time, and releasing the little pieces 40 - 100 seconds in length for about a year and a half. Watching this project take shape was quite the journey.
Lore and Trivia Dumping Incomming!
Let's start with who made this awesome thing:
Mazumaru worked through 2,5 years on this Magnum Opus, releasing pieces of animation untill it was fully made and put together.
He've added SO MANY little details and easter eggs into this project, it's astounding!
DaphDafDave added sounds and special shoutout to Daryl Barness that composed original songs of each girl into back ground beat, when they appear on screen.
When Calli appears - "Excuse my rudeness, but could you please RIP" starts playing
Kiara has "Hinotori" (Another song for you to react to) as bgm.
Gura has "Reflect",
For Ina plays "Violet" (You haven't reacted to it yet, but it's such a soothing banger).
And when Amelia tears off the tape, you can hear her "Papaya" song (she didn't have an original at the time).
Now, about each girl respectively in their Debut Order:
Calliope Mori - Grim Reaper Apprentice on vacation. She's an embodiment of Death, but doesn't want to kill anyone with her scythe, so she chose music to do so. She's pretty much an immortal being.
Takanashi Kiara - Phoenix in a human form. She's forever reincarnating, and that supposedly brought attention of Mori that took her to afterlife numerous times, but they always meet again, cuz she keeps reincarnating. Sometimes they fight, but they become friends all the same, two polar opposites.
Ninomae Ina'Nis - Formerly an ordinary human girl that found an old book, which happened to be a Book of Ancient Ones (if you're familiar with Lovecraft and the Eldrtitch Gods, like Ktulhu and etc, those exactly the Ones) and it turned her into their Priestess with sole purpose of converting human kind into servants to AO. For one reason or another - something happened and AO lost their patience, took over Ina's body and decided to wipe humanity from the face of the Earth.
Gawr Gura - last Princess of Atlantis. As you can imagine, half-shark girl of 9000+ years old is pretty strong being, especially so considering she's supposed to be a Daughter of Posidon and wielding his trident. Gura can turn into a Battle Mode and summon her Savage form of Gawr (You've watched Reflect, Blue Gura was talking to her Red Gawr side) and go toe-to-toe with Avatar of AO themselves, even if for a short while.
Amelia Watson - she's supposedly a mere human (don't trust her, she's actually british!) that somehow got her hands on a Time-Traveling Watch. With it she's able to hop not only through Space and Time, but also through Multiverse, or as we call it - Ameverse. You saw a numerous variations of Amelia, like Amebee buzzing around. She was only hope of the girls to stop the End and revind time back to a point of mending the damage.
Now to explain a bit what's happened in the animation, that caused you confusion:
1) Calli and Kiara are IMMORTALS, they can't be killed, so instead of killing them AO put both of them into a Void, where they can keep on struggling, but can't interfere.
2) Ame was plotting a course through Multiverse in order to reach End of Time, where the Time itself could be manipulated.
3) Gura pierced herself with Trident in order to absorb its power and unleash Gawr (it's kind of a reference to Gura's fave game series DMC, where Demon Hunters stab themselves with their swords and achieve Devil Trigger, a demonic form to fight demons).
4) As been said, Ame jumped through the Ameverse, reaching End of Time, with a huge screen. The time under the video showed exact time of Universe existing, that irl scientists managed to calculate from the Big Bang to our days.
Ame saw dead bodies of her other selves that came before her and did exactly same, nobody heed the warning on the phone, cuz it's in her nature - to never give up and save her friends no matter what. Even if there's a smidge of a chance of success, she'll die as many times needed resetting the Universe in order to achieve the Good End.
5) Above the projector were 5 simbols representing Hololive Council, respectively in order from left to right - Civilisation, Nature, Time, Chaos and Space (Space is flickering cuz its guardian left Hololive, or cuz Space is tightly conncted to AO)
6) In the end, Amelia wiped out whole universe and it all Started With A Big Bang! :D
7) September 13th of 2020 was a date when Hololive Myth debuted and the video was released 10 months ago in 2022.
As closing words - Mazumaru said that he doesn't plan on making Myth: Good End, because WE ALREADY LIVE in the Good End.
Instead of destroying humanity, Ina joined other girls in Hololive and somehow managed to pacify Ancient Ones, preventing Bad End.

I think if Ame tried to rewind the film reel the bad-end reality would still exist and The Ancient Ones would still destroy everything. Instead, she ripped out the film, resetting all of time so that they could try again (foreshadowed by Ina's line "try a little harder and you might win" from earlier).
@@saynay302From the state of all the other Ames, and what happens to this Ame, it seems to imply the ALL ripped out the film, erasing their timeline so that a fresh slate could be created, and the possibility of a different end.
Ninomae Ina'nis, or Ina, has some very interesting lore. She found a book that allowed her to get in touch with Eldritch 'Old Gods', like the gods in Lovecraft's books, and this animation was made under the premise that the 'Ancient One' took her over to destroy the world. Your idea of it being like Venom was pretty close. The thing on her hand was actually one of her gloves though, rather than a remaining bit of the Ancient One.

This is one of my favorite animations ever, it was released piecemeal for over a year before we got this version and it was incredible. The fact that they remixed a bunch of their songs and BGMs for the soundtrack was amazing
As a bit of context; Myth is the name of Hololive's EN 1st Generation (the 2nd Generation is called Council since they're the galactic council of guardians) and it's composed of a set of Mythical related beings; Takanashi Kiara is a Phoenix, Mori Calliope is the apprentice of the grim reaper, Ninomae Ina'nis a Priest of The Ancient Ones, Gawr Gura a shark from Atlantis and Amelia Watson a time travelling detective (they are all kind of myths/legends or related to that, hence the name).
In the video we are seeing a fight between Ina being controlled by the Ancient Ones and the other 4 that are mainly protecting Watson because of her time traveling abilities. Calli and Kiara are immortal, being Death and a Phoenix, so that's why they both lead the fight, but the Ancient Ones realise that their fight would go on forever since none of them 3 can die so they decide to seal Kiara and Calli in The Void in order to keep them contained and be able to focus on Watson.
Then is Gura's turn, she tries to fight but realises that it's too late and goes all out, she does did by hurting herself and letting her second personality take over, called Red Gura, a feroucious and rage filled second personality she has inside her (you saw her in her MV for REFLECT), and she manages to kill the Ancient Ones but they come back since they are immortal, but just as they are about to kill Gura, Ina forces herself out of the control of the Ancient ones thanks to Gura weakening them momentarily and stops them, but they abandon her as a vessel and just use their raw power to charge one last attack to end Ina, Gura, and Watson behind them, but Ame manages to complete her technique just in time and time travels to find a solution.
The video is basically a bad ending for this group, since they all die at the hands of the Ancient Ones, but Ame time travels to that cinema room which should be like a time travelling starting point, where all the different dimensions start (some of the dimensions can be seen when Ame is travelling trough them while going to the cinema room). When she arrives there's a TH-cam video playing, and if you take the number of hours that the video has been playing it equals the time that the Earth has existed since it's creation till 12 september 2022, there she encounters a lot of other Amelia's, all of them dead with a part of a film burned into their hands. The recording she plays was recorded by one of those dead Ame's a warning to the rest, because no matter what they do things will repeat itself, and also because their friends are already dead and she cannot save them, only create others that will most probably end up dying as well, since they cannot stop the Ancient Ones.
But even so Ame, as well as all of her other past selves decides to rip the film out of the proyector, dying, but restarting the film (the Universe) and the Earth so that they can live again and have another chance, and maybe figure out how to win. And that's why the universe is reformed at the end, and the TH-cam video starts playing again.
And you might ask, so were's the good ending for Myth? Well we're living in it, this timeline is the good ending, where they defeated or found a way to stop the Ancient ones, and now they are all happy streaming as Vtubers. That can be seen because Myth debuted the 12 and 13 of september of 2021, and this video was made for their 1st anniversary, and since we are still alive it means that we reached the good ending for Myth (and the rest of us lol).
Also when Ame enters the room there are 5 symbols above the projector, those are the symbols for HoloCouncil, the Owl is Nanashi Mumei, Guardian of Civilization, the leaf is Ceres Fauna, Keeper of Nature, the sand clock is Ouro Kronii, Warden of Time, the Dice is Hakos Baelz, Chaos itself and Leader of the Council, and finally the flickering planet is Tsukumo Sana, Speaker of Space, that graduated in july 2022 due to personal reasons.
Small, small correction: The time on the video, it's actually 13.787 billion years, so the assumed age of the universe, not only earth! That's right, we restart right at the big bang. ;)
Very late to the party, but I would like a small addendum. Sana, the Speaker of Space, was lore-wise an Apostle of the Ancient Ones. Originally this is likely a nod to Ina and Sana being friends in real life. Here, the icon for Sana flickers, showing that maybe the Ancient Ones have affected Sana.
Also, when Ame rips out the film, and it zooms out to show Earth, at one point in the clouds you can see a glowing winged icon. It's IRyS' icon, representing Hope. Ame's constant resetting and keeping hope that a good outcome will appear, has made IRyS (ie, hope) materialize. This refers to an offical MV where IRyS whispers something to Gura, and inspires Gura to join Hololive (likely dragging the others along).
This in turn leads to the creation of Ina's fanbase, the Tentacult (the Takodachi). The Takodachi are what keeps the Ancient Ones in check somehow, and prevents the Bad Ending.
1 person (Mazu) did all the animation. Then i think 2 others handled the sfx and music. Very small team made something insane!. In case it wasnt clear to you we are now living in the GOOD ending, where these girl ls can have fun, play, and be in hololive togther.
Again i will suggest the Hololive Alternative PV teasers. As i said beifre they are the closest thing we have to an official Hololive Anime OP. Just a heads up you havnt really seen any of the girls in the 1st pv but you'll recognize a bunch im the 2nd.
I really hope he watches Altermative 1 & 2. He should check out Violet too, to hear Ina.
She didn't rewind it. She tore out the entire tape, and restarted all of Time, killing herself in the process.
One of the least appreciated moments is the very end, where it shows "Retry" or "Quit," and "Retry" is chosen. Keep trying until you win - that's the Ame Way.

Thing is, all the other Watsons also tore out the film, and it's clear that each time, the same disaster happens. But Amelia is stubborn. She won't give up on her friends or the hope that they will succeed in some other timeline. So she gives hope another chance.
@@ShadeSlayer1911 there's also the point that even the Ame that left that message also eventually tore the film herself, because this Ame exists as well.
I've always had a theory when it comes to this fight, in that it becomes clear the moment the fight starts its just too much for them to handle. They can't beat this thing, so they only way to actually stop this bad end is to make sure this fight never happens in the first place.
I like this theory!
That's why at the beginning Calli tells everyone to protect Watson until she's ready for the worst, because she already knew that there was no chance of victory and that from that moment on they could only buy time.

Calli - The concept of death/the grim reapers apprentice.
Kiara- Is an immortal phoenix
Ina - Was a regular human who found essentially the Necronomicon and changed her into a priestess of the ancient ones think Cthulhu and other Lovecraftian gods.
Amelia - Normal human. Is a time traveling investigator that is investigating the other girls in Myth.
Gura - Ancient Atlantean who is part shark part human.
The basic story of this animation is the bad end of myth where Ina gets fully possessed by ancient ones to bring about the end of the world. Everyone is protecting Amelia hoping she can turn back time and fix the timeline to prevent this from happening. It starts off with kiara and calli fighting ina and turning into their "true" forms, since they are immortals ina can't beat them so she seals them away in an alternate dimension. Gura has two forms, her normal form which she starts off in and her red form which is what happens when she absorbs her trident.
At the end of the fight Ina manages to take back control, but its too late and the ancient ones have finished whatever they needed to do to end the world. Which leaves Amelia who succeeds in turning back time, where she proceeds to hop between alternate universes and timelines to end up in the time room. There she stumbles upon the bodies of her past/alternate selves who have tried the same thing to prevent the end of the world and failed creating a loop. The video length is the length of the universe. What we can assume is that she succeeded in changing the timeline enough to make the good ending which is the world we are living in today.
Great reaction! And don't worry, when I first saw this animation, I knew Myth and their lore since beginning, I familiar with all fan theories and head canons and still this animation had confusing parts, or things that I only saw or understood after I've seen it multiple times. So, that's normal.
As I see, the community did a great job and explained most things already. I love this community!
Maybe some fun facts (that may or may not already mentioned here in the comments):
- Amelias time travel (or in this case here more like dimension travel? ...), there was no word about that at her debut, back then she was "just" a human detective, investigating the other myths (Phoenix, Shinigami, Atlantean and Ina who is also "human" but has access to the power of the ancient ones). Some days later, when people called her boomer, after she made some 90s pop references in a fall guys stream, she explained, that the clock is indeed a time travel device (there is a theory she "borrowed" it and with council (2nd EN generation) we got Kronii, the "concept of time", so fan theory is, Ame "borrowed" the clock from her, but this is only fan theory afaik)
- The five symbols above the projector represent Hololive Council (the 2nd English generation), the flickering one represents "Tsukumo Sana" the concept of space who, unfortunately, graduated (read "the talent behind stopped VTubing").
- The time on the TH-cam video in the cinema room when Amelia arrives, it's the estimated age of the universe (13.787 billion years), if you haven't recognized it until now.
- Many questions came, where is the good end? It's easy, the video was released AFTER the 13th September 2022, so we're living the "good end" right now obviously (Mazumaro actually even confirmed this in a tweet)

Ame "borrowing" the watch from Kronii is not just fan theory. Kronii actually started to ask Ame where she got it during a Minecraft stream, but Ame pulled a 'look over there!' maneuver, skipped and logged out. Whether that was set up for fan service or not, it made the theory official lore. As well as being funny at and adapted into a fanimation.
I don't know if anyone has already said that. Some time ago, one of the girls said on LIVE that they were doing something special for the 1st year of this Fan video. We fans believe that hololive asked him to redo this video with financial help from the company plus the voices of the streamers.

Theres alot goin on here lol, but the basic breakdown is they all protected Ame not because shes the youngest, (which technically is most likely true) but because shes just a normal human therefore being the most squishy plus shes the trump card with her watch (which may or may not actually belong to Kronii a member of council) and all the time nonsense. The bad guy is Ninomae Ina'nis aka Ina, another member of myth and their friend. Ina is a priestess of the Ancient Ones which is basically the old gods or Cthulhu and serves as their vessel and gateway to our realm so in that universe "Bad End" Ina had succumbed to the Ancient Ones unleashing them to our world while we are currently living in the "Good" path right now where shes still in control and they are all just chilling and living their lives in Holo.

stumbled upon your channel the other day, and I've a great time seeing you taking all this wacky Hololive stuff in! So in the interest of adding at least a little context, here's a bit on the "characters" these talented ladies present as:
Calliope Mori, whose origin you've already reacted to, is a "Shinigami" or Death Spirit who is currently chilling in the human realm on vacation. Her powers are showcased here such as rapid regeneration (she's really a spirit entity, so her human body isn't her 'real' one thus can be rebuilt) and the ability to cut almost anything with her scythe blade, including possibly time & space.
Kiara Takanashi, an idol, a fast food chain CEO, and a Magical Girl warrior. She is a Phoenix, and thus has a vast array of fire-based powers, including her full on true Phoenix form as shown here. She is also capable of regeneration, since like Calliope she is a spirit entity, but as a phoenix she can also just come back to life.. however, sometimes she returns as more of a "reincarnation" than a "resurrection", meaning that she may come back to life, but will basically be a totally different person. Fortunately, I like this current version of her!
Amelia Watson is a genius detective and engineer who possesses a stopwatch capable of slowing or speeding up the flow of time. She's basically the Hololive version of Dr. Who. Much respect to her because that watch, her own brainpower and the revolver pistol she carries are all she has to fight the Ancient Ones with.. and at the moment, she's winning.
Gura Gwar is the last surviving Royalty of Atlantis, the legendary nation which was part of the previous human civilization which was destroyed ages before our current one began. She is essentially a wereshark (think a werewolf, but part-human part-shark instead of wolf) and thus can shirk her carefree human side and go full-on apex predator mode. She also possesses a trident passed down from the royal family which can manipulate water as she sees fit, whether it's the ocean or even falling rain.
Ina'nis Ninomae, the "villainess" of this video's story, is an average teenage bookworm who happened to acquire and then unfortunately read a book containing forbidden knowledge from the Ancient Ones, a set of Chthonic Gods who exist outside of our reality and are constantly trying to break in and destroy the universe/drive all living things insane/insert evil ambition here.. She is the Priestess of "The Dreamer" and can speak with it and channel it's powers from beyond the void. However, it seems this particular Ancient One has come to like her and her dad jokes, and is currently too entertained by humanity to bother destroying us all.. Saved by puns, who'd have thought?
...and that's just MYTH... there's also The Council and The Advent, 10 more Hololive EN members. Not too mention all the Japanese and Indonesian ones or the Holostars, which is the name for the male VTuber side of Cover Corp.. THAT'S WHY THEY CALL THIS THE RABBIT HOLE!
Hololive Myth (The first English branch of Hololive) just celebrated their 3rd anniversary. The five individuals that you saw in the animation was each of the members of the group.
There were other references to Irys who came after Myth, and Hololive Council (5 members originally, 4 now due to what some believe was medical reasons for the fifth leaving) within the animation. But if you aren't sure about the lore, behind everyone, then it would be easy to miss. But don't worry. Take your time, enjoy watching the Ladies and Gentlemen of Hololive, and maybe in a year's time, come back and rewatch, then you might catch what you didn't prior. :-)
Summary of the story for this animation:
The story revolves around the five girls Hololive English Generation 1 (a.k.a. "MYTH"). In official lore, Ninomae Ina'nis is the host of an elder god (similar to C'thulu) named the Ancient One, or AO for short. However, because Ina is usually so laid-back, lazy, and comfy, the evil of AO never usually manifests.
In this story, something bad happened and Ina turned evil and became overtaken by AO. The four remaining MYTH members try to stop her rampage. AO seals the two immortals - Calli (Death) and Kiara (the undying Phoenix). Gura is tasked with protecting Amelia Watson, who is a time traveler, as a "last resort". The "calculating" screen that pops up in front of Ame is her trying to find a route back in time to a point where she can stop Ina from turning evil in the first place.
Eventually, Ame arrives at the movie theater set, which is implied to be part of COUNCIL HQ (Hololive English Generation 2 is nicknamed the COUNCIL because they are embodiments of metaphysical concepts like time, space, nature, civilization, chaos, and hope who formed a council to oversee the universe). Here, Ame sees other versions of herself from other parallel timelines who also attempted to stop various catastrophes along with a warning from a parallel version of herself that resetting the timeline is fruitless. Even so, Ame not being the type to give up forces the reset anyway at the cost of her own life, like all of the other parallel-Ames did before her.
for your information, Ame didn't just rewind the time-line, this time she erased the entire world, so a different ending can happen
Iirc…if you look at the amount of time that is displayed in the “TH-cam stream/video” it’s the amount of time that’s happened since the Big Bang (as far as when it was posted)

A Dragon crashed into Hololive HQ a few years ago. (She, as it was revealed at her graduation from Holo, was shot by Ame by accident.) She became Holo's first English speaking member... Kiryu Coco!! One of the most admired Vtubers in Holo's history.

Honestly I wished someone in your crew would've sent you to "The Experiences" before you saw this, at the very least with seeing those you could get a glimpse as to why this is so hype for us Old Time fans. Seeing who they are and the friendship they have before seeing this gives you a lot more context and hits you in the feels a lot harder.
so to clarify a whole bunch of stuff, this is not from any videogames or music videos or anything, each and every one of the hololive characters have their own established lore which keeps getting expanded upon (kind of like the SCP database thats curated by a massive community of people who just make their own stories related to it) with HoloEN(Hololive English) having 2 major branches, HoloMYTH and HoloCouncil (to be elaborated in a minute), and on top of that the clue is in the name of the video : "Hololive Myth's Bad Ending", which means that this didnt happen to this timeline but a previous one, whereas this timeline is considered as the good ending.
now to elaborate on HoloMyth and HoloCouncil:
HoloMyth is the Gen 1 group that was first introduced, with Gura, Calliope, Kiara, Watson, and Ina
1. Gawr Gura is an ancient atlantean mythical shark being who wields the Trident of Poseidon and has a past clouded largely by missing memories, her kingdom of atlantis was annihilated by what might have been the ancient ones before they were sealed and imprisoned by previous generations of priestesses of the ancient ones. this event may have happened eons ago since gura is apparently over 9000 years old, though exact age is impossible to determine because she is horribly bad at math.
2. Mori Calliope is the Grim Reapers apprentice and wields a similar amount of power as the God of Death himself, she is destined to inherit the mantle of the Grim Reaper in the future but prefers to live among the realm of mortals to express herself with rap music and make friends, her patron the Grim Reaper is often apprehensive of her behavior but secretly supports her choices regardless. she also has a romantic relationship with Kiara.
3. Kiara Takahashi is a mythical legendary phoenix of unknown age, and is possibly a very young incarnation of a much more ancient divine being. she wields all of the powers of the fabled mythical phoenix including the ability to burn through anything and the ability to revive the dead, however she has an unusual fascination for starting a venture as a fast food fried chicken catering service using her own followers as both workforce and ingredients. she is incredibly fluent in a number of languages most notably german and japanese and acts as the unofficial translator between the HoloEN and HoloJP groups.
4. Amelia Watson is a self proclaimed detective that originally discovered all of these otherworldly beings and sought to unite them under the banner of friendship and tomfoolery, she is a smart and gifted human who is capable of extrapolating information from the unlikeliest of sources, and is most noteworthy for having "borrowed" (stolen) Ouro Kronii's Timekeeper Pocket-watch, which acts as an extension of Kronii's inate power to traverse through time, however she is limited by her mortality and can only use the pocket-watch after accurately calculating a possible time vector, of which the destination is entirely uncertain since the possibilities of the multiverse is endless. only Kronii can traverse time with ease.
5. Ninomae Ina'nis is a priestess of a long line of priestess families and lineages under the divine sect of the ancient ones, she was chosen by the divine grimoire "Ao-chan" to become the current priestess of the ancient ones, and is soul-bound to inherit the sacred seal of the ancient ones, holding back the immense tide of the ancient ones from breaching this reality and causing the end of existence. she created takodachi's using the borrowed power of the putrid goddess of fertility shub niggurath's profane power in order to stem the tide of the ancient ones and reinforce the seal holding them at bay. ina is otherwise a really light hearted and kind girl who loves to draw and sleep on cold surfaces. (also for lovecraft fans: the ancient ones = the outer gods)
additionally there are the HoloCouncil who are substantially more powerful than the holomyth girls themselves, they are primordial beings that were born at the beginning of creation, and are the administrators of the multiverse. each representing an elemental aspect of the fundamental inner workings of reality itself. i wont elaborate too much on them since i'm only mentioning them because of their logos on the back wall of the theater in the video.
1. Hakos Baelz is the harbinger of chaos, she is a genderless being of unfathomable power in her true form, but generally takes the appearance of a mouse-like girl. Baelz is the only holocouncil member who can directly circumvent the natural laws and order of the universe set by the other holocouncil members, and acts as a spokesperson for all of them. it is believed that while Baelz represents chaos and mischief on the surface level, she may unknowingly be an agent that mitigates the eventual heat death of the universe.
2. Nanashi Mumei is the Guardian of Civilization and was an elemental concept born from the consciousness of mankind as the living embodiment of the total sum of mankind's efforts, representing the mark that humans have left upon the universe. Mumei takes the appearance of a genderless divine owl of wisdom in her true form, and takes the form of an owl-like girl in general. her age is approximate 2.8 million years old (about as old as the first pre-sapient hominid)
3. Ceres Fauna is the Keeper of Nature and a primordial druid of Gaia, and exercises complete authority over all of nature, flora and fauna. she is an extradimensional being that manipulates the laws of nature at a fundamental level of acausality, thus introducing changes to past, present, and future, simultaneously, and at all times. without her limiter she has comparatively similar levels of power as Sana, as life exists in all things across all universes.
4. Ouro Kronii is the Warden of Time, a divine being that is the purest embodiment of time itself. an extradimensional being, Kronii affects the present, past, and future simultaneously on a deep conscious level, exerting little to no effort to manipulate all of time all at once, she doesnt experience the same limitations as amelia watson in such that she does not require any temporal coordinate extrapolation to identify her destination, she can travel through any point in time on but a single thought.
5. Tsukumo Sana is (former hololive member - graduation) the speaker of space, the truest embodiment of the multiverse itself. with her limiter removed she maintains her human appearance but at an astronomical 5AU (astronomical units) or 837,800,000 kilometers tall. she was born with the creation of the multiverse itself, all at once, simultaneously, and is thus its primary anchor of causality. while she is incapable of creating entirely new universes, she is capable of affecting any kind of change no matter how significant upon the universe on a whim, with her ability to control space she can also distort time within the area with unfathomable gravitational fields, her control over the very fabrics of reality is unrivaled. however due to her graduation her role has since been left empty on automatic mode, and reality as a consequence as begun to steadily unwind.
to clarify on how or why ina could have possibly lost control like this, its not likely caused by some minor disagreements with her holomyth friends, but far more likely was a result of her grief from the loss of Tsukumo Sana. in the video's universe it appears that ina never became an idol and never created takodachi's, which severely weakened her seal unknowingly. her grief and depression upon hearing that Sana was graduating was the catalyst that started to crack the seal, and by the time she realized it was too late, the ancient ones took over her body and feasted on her negative emotions, rampaging across the city in the vain attempt to assuage her stricken grief. before she realized it she fought her own friends and nearly took gura's life, forcing her to snap conscious and intervene, but it was too late, the ancient ones were free. all was lost.
or so we thought...
as we see in the video ame travels across time and space to a place managed by the holocouncil, though the council members are not present you can see their emblems glowing on the wall, with sana's glitching in and out of reality. it is unclear why it is glitching but it is implied that sana isn't merely graduating but fading away. many ame's have attempted to change the timeline to save their friends, but only found that they could only reverse time back into the very beginning, the big bang. time will always repeat itself, and will always repeat the same conclusion. so... what changed...? that is the million dollar question.
it is believed that ame didnt fully pass away in the last attempt, and possibly that shortly after rewinding time kronii took notice and investigated the administration room (theater), finding many ame's on the ground, she presumed the worst, but found one with eyes who's soul hasn't fully left yet. reversing her time she manages to temporarily save ame (not permanently since causality is absolute in mortals), ame tells her what happened, and possibly how to stop it from happening again. by recruiting ina as a idol member, letting her create countless tako's, and creating a chance for ina and sana to properly find closure together (which all happened in this timeline), thus creating a present where the good ending exists.
of course this is all theory... a game theory...! (lol), but seriously ina and sana loved eachother (as friends) very much and ina was so heartbroken
during sana's graduation, so i wouldn't fault her at all for it. ina is so gentle and kind, so she deserves all the love and kindness she gets.
You shoudl watch Shark'd. It's one of Gura's original animations that 'explains' how she joined Hololive in-universe and it's great.

its kinda bad if you misunderstood that the enemy is evil because they were fighting our girls but in fact she is one of the best and just lost her body control to Ancient One (her lore). or about Gura's power or when you see Amelia's ability to go through Ameverse for the first time without any prior explanation.
@@UDesu16 tbf, none of what you've mentioned was ever explicitly portrayed by official lore videos or even comics, not even mentioned by the girls themselves, as "ultimate canon".
Aside rom Ina being a sweet cinnamon roll and somehow managing to pacify Ancient Ones with cookies, other girls barely touched their Lore on streams.
All of the expanded deep Lore is Fan-made and scattered across the internet in terms of comics and animations.
So telling Sunny P that he should wait for something, does not accomplish much.

now, albeit all of their power is actually a fanmade, the girls pretty much accept it unofficially as their power (excluding those Kiara and Calli transformation) like how Gura did in her Reflect mv and all the jokes out there about Ame time travel. but that doesnt mean its unnecessary to not know that first and going completely blind about it.

Correction: Successfully reset the timeline. Each time, to try and get a slightly different outcome (which by virtue of her corpses remaining in the Time Room shows that each time IS slightly different) eventually there'll be a "Good end" if you just keep trying.
One thing you'll find out as your fall into the rabbithole continues is that the fan artist community is *absolutely cracked*.
it's an understatement to call this animation anything short of a masterpiece. It does a really great job of catering to new hololive viewers as well as veterans. I'm not gonna go into the plot of the video, someone else can cover that xD.
Fun fact: the time you see on the screen in the projector room is the REAL calculated time of the universe since the big bang

@@YoSunnyP More on that fun fact : anytime we see the timer on that video, the current elapsed time and the total run time match exactly, which implies that the future isn't set in stone and there's always HOPE to change it (which gives Ame the strength of will to keep trying again and again...)
Ina is usually the one to be evil in fan stories, as her official lorr is being "A Priestess of the Ancient Ones" meaning of all the Myth gals, she is the most likely to go on a rampage as her powers are not her own. On the flipside, usually the protagonist becomes Amelia since she is a normal human, who has time powers, so she is the most grounded character, also since she's a detective it makes sense for her to be the one to be adventurous and seek a resolution.
Also, don't forget that all the Mythical ladies following a mere human, cuz she always supports them and puts their problems above her own.
Also, out of all of them, Amelia is likely the only one who is insane enough to go on adventures/investigations with a bunch of mythical beings despite ONLY being a mere human. Time traveling watch or not, Ame is a mere human and is only able to keep up with everyone else in myth because she is INSANE enough to do so!
Part of why she's one of my favorites, especially in fanfiction and fan-animation.

When Ame grabs the film from the projector to tear it out, *she* goes out of focus for a moment, indicating that she was grabbing the fabric of existence itself. Good stuff.
u might be new to the Hololive rabbit hole but when u said " it cant be this good its fan made" in this rabbit hole the fans make some of the BEST things including animations, music videos,video games (which are some of the most badass things) etc
Aaahh, after 1-2 minutes it became clear to me that again like many other reactions to this masterpiece, you were not given any information on lore. Without some explanation beforehand no one can understand this fully, especially if they are new to Hololive. With that little extra knowledge on how their powers work, what they represent etc you are able to enjoy this 10 times more. Whoever recommended Myths Bad Ending to you I wish they would have given you a short overview of the Lore. It was still an amazing reaction though :)
There are so many good Hololive Fan Animations out there but in all the 3 years HoloMyth existed, this One is and probably will be my favourite piece of Fan Work of all time.
The lore for Hololive English is the best in the entire vtuber space.

To clarify some things you missed, mostly from context because a lot of this stuff is knowledge from exposure to Hololive English:
NInomae Ina'nis is the happy-go-lucky artist of Myth, and the priestess to the elder gods. In this animation, the elder gods have possessed Ina, and the rest of Myth are trying to stop her. In her character art, Ina is shown with book which she calls Ao (Blue), but has taken this animation to heart and has said "I've read my book once before, it didn't go well".
Calli and Kiara are immortal, and possessed Ina banished them into that black sphere to "deal with them later" as she could not kill them.
When the trident was absorbed by Gura, she turned into her alter ego "Gawr" aka red Gura, who embodies the animalistic nature of a shark; hyper aggression is her thing.
When the black stuff left Ina after she fought against her body trying to kill Gura, that was the elder gods leaving their priestess. Ina has some motifs of an Octopus in her design, small flaps on her head and the 2 strands of hair next to her pointed ears that are more tentacle than hair. When the elder gods left her, she became human again, and was completely helpless to do anything in the fight. The black thing wasn't a small amount remaining, it was actually her glove.
Watson travelled to the timelines to find a way to stop Ina going berserk. Each timeline was a reference to a different "Watson" Amelia created (even the bees).
The YT vod paused on the screen had the time the entire universe had existed on it.
Above the projector were the symbols of HololiveCouncil, the 2nd (and at that time, last) generation of Hololive English talents. The flickering planet was for Sana, who had left the group (graduated) by that stage.
Watson was told by her previous selves that you couldn't rewind the film as that would just cause everything to repeat. So she destroyed it instead, which leads to our current time line.
As the camera panned back from earth, as it went through the clouds, IRyS from Hololive English Project Hope in her crystalline can be briefly seen in the clouds. IRyS is a V-Singer (primarily recruited for singing) and a Nephilim, a half demon half angel who was sent to Earth to bring hope to the world. She was not interacting with the world during Hope's Bad End, because there was no hope, and Watson ended up destroying that timeline.
Also, I forgot to mention that Hololive English does do their own "Holografitti" like skits, but instead of planned skits they animate key moments that happened in a member's stream. Its on the Hololive English official channel and is called HoloEN3DRepeat.
Just a slight correction regarding AO-chan, AO is short for Ancient Ones, the Elder Gods of Lovecraftian Horror, it doesn't mean Blue.
Seems like you jumped into this without enough background info on most of the Myth group members. Still though, it was good to see your unfiltered reaction to the technical marvels of this amazing piece. The animation was pretty much all from one guy, while the sound and music came from a couple others.
It's a shame that you can't recognize the character-specific lore elements as they really are quite well integrated. There is even more to catch if you know about the Council group members and their conceptual roles.

As a follower of indie animators, animation school projects, and Touhou maniacs, this animation is DEFINITELY up there with the best. Rather than provide a full-on detailed explanation for this as I can already seen others more suitable have taken on that task, I'd rather throw out a couple of names for you to look into whenever you get the chance.
First and foremost. Monty Oum (RIP). Genius animator who sacrificed much of himself to his passion of animation. He was the original creator for the web series RWBY that is now owned by Rooster Teeth (of Red vs. Blue fame), which that alone is an altogether separate insane thing on its own, spawning a full-blown animated series, video games (standalone and collaborations like 'BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle'), and a Sony-produced anime in Japan along with other massive marketing projects from that. While RWBY is something to catch up on, I strongly suggest looking into his personal project from eons ago 'Dead Fantasy', with 5 different parts released before his untimely passing, where he was a one-man army that kicked off the whole thing by himself until Rooster Teeth hired him on and they eventually invested into and produced RWBY from there.
Second. Alan Becker. His web series of 'Animator vs. Animation' combined stick figure animation and Minecraft, and brought it to this 'Myth's Bad Ending' level of OMG-ness. After launching from Newgrounds back in 2006, this series grew and took on a mind of its own, and the story seems to have finally reached it's end as of earlier this year. This man and his colleagues have amazing talents, enough to turn MATH into an actually-interesting animation.
I promise neither one of these will disappoint if you were to take some time to watch them. Keep up the great work, Sunny, and safe travels to you and yours. I'm looking forward to you getting through Alicization, lol.✌
