Great video, shame it is buried and hard to find. I've been using the Matrix VX-1 for years now and overall I really like it (other than frequent misfires due to cap breakage at launch), but I figured I'd get an old fashioned shotshell to add to my collection. I picked up a red and black 96bb avengers round from evike...thoughts on that one? Wish I had seen this before my searching, would have helped out a bunch. What was the range of the target in this video? It looks like the VX-1 outranges these even in colder temps. Should give it a try, see what you think.
Thank you for your comment! I can't speak for the Avengers one because I don't have one. Normally I stay away from off-brands like that but it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. How are the customer reviews? The mark of a quality shot shell is one that won't leak after heavy use, will hold BBs during movement, and will shoot them out fast and far, all without being considerably heavy. As you know, when you're out on the field, ounces turn into pounds and pounds, into pain. The range was about 20-25 yards.
@@Kalashnik1 thanks for the feedback. I just tested it - works pretty good. Got about the same range as you, probably 10-15ft spread at 22 yards. It doesn't hold the full capacity in but does retain most of them without issue. For $20 I'd say it is worth it - it is significantly lighter than my VX-1s. It's definitely a worthwhile shotgun round.
