jackie thank you for giving me motivation to draw😭literally everytime i have art block or whatever i go to your videos and watch them while i draw AND I ALWAYS PUMP OUT THE BEST ONES WATCHING YOU
Ok, Jackie. Stop being so hard on yourself. Every drawing you made was amazing. Everything you said that put yourself down was untrue. Do NOT convince yourself that you’re somehow sliding backwards or just not good enough in any way. You ARE good enough and you’re NOT sliding backwards. You are very talented!
A few things that make digital drawing harder are that you're working on a smaller surface (so it's harder to use your whole arm) and it's harder to switch between light exploratory lines and dark "this is where the subject is" lines.
While you’re admiring another artists, I personally really admire you! I LOVE how the pieces in this video turned out and I think I can already see how are you improving your style and general approach to drawing. Your videos always inspire me so much, thank you!
Jackie you will never know how much I need this🤕 I am currently applying to unis and I am CONSTANTLY comparing myself to other accepted portfolios (even though our styles are nothing alike!). It is kiiiiilling me. But this video changed my mood completely, I feel so seen and a lot more relaxed now☺️
this video was super informative on how to best use life drawing to get out of your comfort zone! really want to give zeet studio lifedrawing a try now!!
Oh Jackie, I understand those words so deeply. I‘m also at a stage right now where I‘m so unhappy with where I am, and I guess its realizing the further you come into this skill, the harder its gonna get as well.. I always try to be neutral towards myself, but lately I‘ve been so unhappy iwth my results and that sometimes it feels like I keep pushing and pushing but am still at point zero.. And then I compare myself to those 19 years olds that are like triple as good as me, a 27 year old, and I just keep asking myself how thats possible. But hang in there, just because we are not where they are, doesnt mean our art is bad at all!! We just need to be more gentle with ourselves. I also believe some people naturally have a better ability to understand and break down 3D shapes
Going to keep saying it the pose where she is curled up should be great with her hair down because you could also do some a waxing shape language with the sharp angles of her and her fit and the round hair
I appreciate your communication on why YOU are not happy with your results but In all honesty I think they are really great so it's kinda confusing because I don't know what in particular you think is bad about your results. It just feels like your comparing yourself and feeling let down. With out any proof aka details in specific you think it should be different it seems like you are just being hard on yourself. Maybe your results are good but you have an inaccurate feeling telling you that they arnt because you didn't feel comfortable while making it. It's hard being an artist and trusting your own eyes to tell you what will look good to other people but does that mean we have to be critical of ourselves to succeed?
Man i tried digital gesture drawings and its so difficult! Like i do it with pen and charcoal fine but digital is so muh more difficult 😭 Maybe its cause i know i can undo and zoom in.. :(

Thanks for showing that even you and all your awesomeness sometimes struggles, too! ❤
This felt so encouraging as someone who recently got bad grades in art school 😔
I'm glad u made this video. I made the switch from traditional to digital for almost a year and it hasn't been easy 😅. Good to see I'm not alone

I like the third, I love the expression and the contrast with the background, I don´t know, its agresive but soft, I love it very much
it always amazes me how you can come with a finished piece so fast!
Omg I’ve actually been eyeing these classes! So convenient, I’ll definitely be joining now

Wonderful video
Very inspiring
This is so interesting to me, bc I felt like digital life drawing came SO NATURALLY to me. 2D to 2D is easier than 3D to 2D for me personally

My traditional sketches are good my digital sketches? Looks like it's the first time I tried to draw a square 😂
Can you use an iPhone and stylus to animate??
