I replaced my faulty, low-pressure, stock Polaris fuel pump with this Quantum Fuel Systems pump from highflowfuel.com for a fraction of the price of a Polaris brand replacement part.
Was it not starting, stalling, or just running like crap/bogging? I have a 2017 sportsman 450 and I suspect the fuel pump or injector has gone bad… it seems to be getting some pressure and fuel to the head but wont start at all. I dont have a pressure gauge but it definitely is running, but is either low pressure or not maintaining pressure. Just wondering what your symptoms were… I already ordered a quantum fuel kit to fully rebuild pump and regulator. Injector looks pretty clean but I sprayed carb cleaner just to be sure and I did test it with 9 volt battery and it clicks. Hopefully the new pump kit fixes issue… everything else looks clean and perfect. I have good power to all accessories and it turns over with a strong healthy spark.
Oh ya, mine wasn’t starting at all. It kicks over a bit and wants to go, but won’t start. The plug and wire are brand new. Everytime i pull the plug after trying a bunch of times its kinda fouled with black with gassy smelling soot that wipes off no problem (not bad burnt carbon).
