    There's no need to fill the water cistern tank on the toilet. Put the water in a bucket and pore that into the pan.

    Hi guys! Aden please wear gloves when working with cement as it is very aggressive for your skin. For narrow joints it is better to use a joint iron than your fingers 😁. You can seal very narrow seams with a gray silicone sealant. It may also be useful to use a pipe locator. They cost little and emit a beep when they detect a pipe in the wall. (electrical or metal). Good luck !

    In Abruzzo if you look west you will see the snow capped Alpines. If you look east you’ll see the beautiful Adriatic sea. Most of that region is mountainous with villages that offer both views. Good train service from Pescara connecting to other cities in Italy and other countries. Excellent bus service directly to Rome.

    Hi , can I suggest getting a 45 gal plastic drum and asking a neighbour for some water ? use a hose it will take no time at all.
    Someone should get a dish and give Jorji some water.

    Can you rent, or can your plumber provide, a scope/sewer camera with a locator sensor? Here, in the USA, I have had them use a sewer camera or smaller camera with sensor location to find breaks. The sensor is on the end with the camera. So they can get a signal as to where that sensor is in the plumbing line. Maybe they, or you could send the sensor through that tap in the wall to locate the main plumbing hookup... Just a thought.

    You guys are dog lovers, fantastic! I have 4 dogs, 2 chihuahuas, and two labrador retrievers. When I make my move to Italy, I plan on bringing 3 of them. The oldest Labrador is staying in the states. He’s really my dad’s dog but he’s 12 so I don’t know if he would survive the trip.

    The view of the mountains behind your house has a huge amount of forested area, normally you see much more open areas. Your views look like an old forest, it makes it more private as well.👍

    I see your house number is 7. The 7th house is a place of introspection and contemplation. The energy of the 7th house promotes tranquility, soul searching, knowledge gathering and spiritualité... Every number has a meaning...See you soon Fiorella

    We keep thinking about that 1€ home you guys showed that you were also tempted by - you guys could get that one, and then eventually make this home into 2 awesome airbnb units. Just an idea, since the two floors of this one aren’t connected and the apartment owner doesn’t want to sell, yet.
    Either way, we love watching both your channels! Thanks for all the hard work you both are putting into filming everything! 🙌🏽

    Hello from Belgium, I really enjoy your videos, thank you both. Very clear videos with a very good camera. Courage to you both for the work. The vieuw is superb in this quiet spot where you can hear the birds sing " Welcome Fiorella and Aden here in Italy".the birds know you're lovely people, and I know it too...I'd like to have a crush on a cheap house with no work to do..lol...God, it's hard to get old and not to be like we used to be...maybe one day.. I hope because hope gives life.

    don't worry about breaking the walls to look for the pipe, in any case you won't be able to use those old pipes, the water pressure, once the system is active again, will break those old rusty pipes in a few minutes, and the damage they will be greater than breaking those rotten walls

    Considering that the previous owner would have needed water, that is so weird that the water pipe system is so confusing and that a meter needs to be installed. I can't help but feel like you'll discover the piping goes to one of the properties on either side of you and metering was shared? Or could it be at the back wall of your property?

    • @Our19KHome
      @Our19KHome  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I wouldn't be surprised. Usually these houses have been divided and reunited over the years.
      Since meters are taken away by the companies after the services have been disconnected for X amount of time that just makes it harder for the newer owners like us

    Hi Aiden, for drilling masonry, you need a different kind of drill bit. The one you used is only for wood or metal and will be trashed after using it on masonry.

    I don't know if im being daft but surely the plumber should be able to work out what the current set up is and he will have equipment to find the pipes without bashing all the walls?

    The gray metal plate is meant as a utility box, correct? I was nervous when I saw the pipe! Is it hard to hire a plumber? The running water would be most helpful! You both are very diligent and patient with this project. Kudos!

    • @Our19KHome
      @Our19KHome  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, yes the metal doors are for meters: gas, electricity, water, etc.
      It is not that difficult to find a plumber but there are delays as he needs more information from the water company, etc

    Oh Fiorella! The firstvtime I saw your house and the need of a niche to get connected to the water, I wondered where was it connected previously. Will you have to redo the whole interior plumbing? That would be a bit of a nightmare! Maybe it was connected to the cantina an up from there? I hope you can solve it in the easiest and cheaper way.
