I could only see myself doing that if I was at one of their concerts. Otherwise I just bop my head along with the section. I do love that section though.
I go from watching the facial expressions of Matt playing Ectogenesis, do Nathan’s emotionless face. heh, it’s kind of funny, but I like seeing how focused he is
Nathan’s awesome I just wish Brian got more recognition, drums on all of the chon records fucking shreds on the drums and you never see him outside of maybe one or two live shows
So you’re saying Nathan is not Chon’s original drummer and the studio drum recordings were tracked by Brian, who I’m assuming was Chon’s drummer before Nathan?
0:21 I would have preferred the original feel :( I know it's fucking difficult, but you've already done it live in other situations, like at audiotree. So if you can do it, why didn't you?
Why he doesn´t play the ghost notes on the "breakdown"? i do really like the groove of that part on the studio version. nathan is an incredible drummer
@@juanaburto6819 Brian Evans, he's Nathan's teacher. On "Grow" album the studio version were performed by Brian Evans and Matt Garstka. That's why Nathan performs slightly different from the studio version
This is some very awesome drumming, but I wish he would play the album version of the fill ending the intro. To me it’s just more of a smooth transition, and just a better fill over all. That is my opinion. Regardless, I just saw them live last week in Dallas and they were mind blowing. Most bands don’t play their songs exactly the same as the studio, but as a drummer that fill would have been very cool to witness in person.
I remembering seeing them live earlier this year. DAMN. THE CROWD SURFING WAS REAL. I'm from the Mid west. and their from the west coast. The only surfing we do in the Mid west is crowd surfing.
Tama Star Bubinga to be exact. One of the best sounding kits if not the best in the world. Love me some tama starclassic Bubinga or starclassic BB or the flagship star Bubinga drums. Top notch. Nobody in the drum world can mimick the sound of tama’s Bubinga recipe.
Nathan such a beast, it's funny how he makes it look easy
DUN DUN DUN DUN WOOO
DUN DUN DUN DUN WOOO
DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN
DUN DUN DUN DUN WOOO
Chon is love, Chon is life
Cymbals sound great. Drumming is in the pocket, on point, musical, and original. Well done.
Saw this song live, best concert I’ll ever go to
If you ain’t “woo” at 1:47 then you just don’t know Chon
or if you don't internally shout "FUCK!" at 2:51 lol
I could only see myself doing that if I was at one of their concerts. Otherwise I just bop my head along with the section. I do love that section though.
all the real homies woo
This kind of playing surely makes you fall off your seat! This is madness!! Amazing!!

Yesss!!!! My favorite Chon piece.
The shirt is the cherry on top
YEAH!!!!! YOU MADE ANOTHER HOW ABOUT ANOTHER AND ANOTHER AND MAYBE ANOTHER!!!!! KEEP THEM COMIN'!!!
How could anyone dislike this
don't worry about the dislikes. those were just drummers that quit playing after viewing this *delicious content* we came across looking at chon vids
Nathan’s awesome I just wish Brian got more recognition, drums on all of the chon records fucking shreds on the drums and you never see him outside of maybe one or two live shows
Brian's playing on the Chon records is next level.
So you’re saying Nathan is not Chon’s original drummer and the studio drum recordings were tracked by Brian, who I’m assuming was Chon’s drummer before Nathan?
@@x603koolkidx Not really sure about Chon's original drummer. But he is Nathan's drum teacher
This is the perfect version of perfect pillow for me .
0:22 is the most mesmerizing fill I’ve ever heard.
i just realized i’ve never heard nathan’s voice until this video
The best part is his ''kero kero bonito'' shirt xD
What a fucking gorgeous song
And somehow they managed to create breakdown without full distortion 😁
this so awesome im glad he did song its so different then the album
2:04 "WOO!"
I know right?
Nice groove Nathan! Drums sound great!!!
How many more of these recordings are you guys stashing away? Love watching Nathan drum.

Francisco Nabor would've loved to see Knot.

Wow! So good
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Played a lot different from the original track. Nice
Different drum than on the recording. Brian Evans is on the studio version.
This is identical to their 2008 Demo version of the song, iirc
0:21 I would have preferred the original feel :( I know it's fucking difficult, but you've already done it live in other situations, like at audiotree. So if you can do it, why didn't you?
accept the innovation, progress together.
he did write that part wth are you talking about
th-cam.com/video/mhaC7TOGI-8/w-d-xo.html tis the same fill
This dude is dope!!! Only thing is, that Vintage Crash on the right is soo far away from the kit that it dont even look like apart of the set-up lolol
obviously I need this drum set up to be good xD
Sam Barillas You can Play even better using a chepper drum set haha
If this was a hot girl playing a cover song, it would have 2 million views. We need to change things!
Sexualizing mens’ butts is the first step. Are you willing to do that? 🤠 lmao
Come back my dude. Make more drum vids :)
I want to perform this song on my recital at school, is there any way I could get a drumless track of this song?
Thanks for this
Good Job!
Awesome ♡
what's his snare?

Kero kero bonito shirt 🔥
Beautifuuul
am i the only person on this planet that prefers the newer album version of the drum track? lul
If im not mistaken matt gartzka plays on the album version, never seen nathan playing double kick drum o: I may be wrong though
nice
Kero Kero Bonito!!!
What he lacks in facial expression, he makes up for in his ability to just hang out in the pocket for days.
Can someone tell me what kit that is? Because that kick drum is literally perfection. Thanks!
Interesting how they used the album guitar and bass parts
kero kerer bonito
Waterslide please !
