This video is how I decluttered EVERY SINGLE ROOM in our home! Decreasing the amount of stuff in our home has also decreased the amount of STRESS and TIME I spend cleaning. I hope this can inspire you to do some of your own decluttering! This video was made by putting all of the videos I made for my decluttering series into one SUPER long MARATHON so that its all in one place. I added chapters too so that its easier to navigate! Thank you so much for watching, I hope you ejoy this video!
Julie!!! Thank you! I miss seeing you at work too. I'm PRN day shift in sedation now, so I'm not completely gone but I don't see any of our night shifts anymore 😕
I had an abusive hoarder mom, so this video was super healing. I know it sounds weird 😅. It’s just the mix of good mom, and getting rid of things was so nice for me and healed my heart in a way
I watch a lot of videos like this one and this was probably one of the best I've ever watched. First, you really committed to getting clutter out of your home. But even more than that you didn't declutter and then spend hundreds of dollars buying a bunch of organization pieces after the declutter. That may be aesthetically pleasing but it is a massive waste of money on things that you will probably not use consistently. Great work!!!
Nice declutter for starters. Still so many things. It is difficult to toss things I realize. I don't use little trays/ bowls/ dividers to separate things. I change things around, buy replacements, toss stuff frequently, and in a short time the separators, trays, dividers no longer, work because I don't ownthe same things. I realize many ppl like customizing and designing just as much as decluttering.
I loved this entire video, I did all of this to my apartment during the pandemic, and I have felt so much lighter. Like you said, I go back through things like clothes and shoes!!!😊
I just got a small container that sits in my wardrobe for clothes that I no longer want. So I can now declutter anytime, when the container gets full I go through it, to sort into trash or donate. I am now at the maintain level of organizing my home 😊🎉
That is fantastic!! It is such an amazing feeling. I love the idea of putting the container for donations in your wardrobe. I've been saving a cardboard box from my kids diapers. I keep it in my closet and put anything we don't use anymore in there and once it's full it's super easy to take and drop off for donation.
Even though I had seen your decluttering videos before, I watched again and picked up more tips! Your firm decision(s) to let go of what you're not using challenged me to dig deeper in my home. Thanks!!
Holiday decor - I have very minimal decor. For Christmas, I have a small wooden tree that I put out on the mantel and some stuff for the Christmas tree, plus gifting supplies. I don't decorate for Halloween or any other holidays. Mostly because I don't want to manage the storage and management of the extra stuff. I do sometimes wish I was a bit more festive, but I am just not that person, LOL!
Is it too late to vote for the first long low wooden option for storing things on your bathroom counter? That one looked best and makes the most sense. The round one works ok but was already there and change is nice. The taller basket doesn't even hold everything and sort of looks like it's been set on the counter out of the closet and not put back afterwards. Thanks for the motivation!
I love your suggestion!! It's actually not too late! I think in finally going to go with that long one and donate the others. I had left it in the basket, but as you said not everything fits! So it hasn't been working
Isn't it staggering how much " stuff" we have ..I am neurodivergent and I can't function when my space is full.Decluttering is hard at times but so is not letting ya mind have space to breath❤
Definitely the long tray you showed first for the bathroom counter. Many items can be easily accesed (pump bottles are able to stat put rather tan take it out). Everything also fits very well with little room for accumulating more. Plus it allows for the most usable counter space an easy to move the whole tray to wipe the counters down
My husband and I got battery packs off of Amazon, that have C chargers and I phone. This massively cut down on the charging cords and charging boxes we needed to keep. I absolutely love them because I hate having cords everywhere. I also have an extra one for guests. This helps a ton when traveling too! I also had my wedding dress made into 3 bears. 1 for my husband abd I to keep and one for each of my girls, that I will give them when they are ready. This got it out of our closet, while still keeping it as a momento.
I enjoy your podcasts. I was listening to your reference to the saying “keep it super simple”. That saying back in the 1970s was the kiss method meant”keep it simple stupid”. I think your new version is less judgmental, lol.
I love how you stated that you use the nap time as time to get something done. It is crucial to use time when you can. While something is heating in the microwave, I say what can I do while that is cooking. Using pockets of time has changed my life! Thank you!
This is hands-down the BEST decluttering video on TH-cam (and I've watched 100s!) Thank you for explaining as you go, it's so much more helpful to hear the process rather than just watching it in a time-lapse with music. Great job!
Thank you so much! That means so much to me! 😊🩷 Its been over a year now since I went through everything. I'm planning on doing it again soon! It'll be interesting going through everything a second time ☺️
It seems like you have so much stuff for someone so young, but I can imagine there are many ways things that have accumulated for you. It's wonderful that you're working on decluttering now so hopefully when you're older you won't have so much to deal with. Nice job!
I have a closet for holiday decor, too. I have gotten rid of lots of ours a few years ago. I used to keep some of it in the garage. After getting rid of lots, I'm able to keep it in one closet, too. And it feels so much better! I also wanted to share that I use a small Mason jar with a lid for bandages. This way, I can keep them together and see them better, too. And if it helps, I use a small round basket on our bathroom counter for my daily make-up and make-up brushes. I'm enjoying watching your decluttering and organizing! I love to organize, too. 💚
You did such a good job I had to watch it twice one on my breaks on reg house keeping and then a second time to declutter with you. thanks for being so honest while doing it and for being so inspiring.
For some reason this video popped up on my recommend videos and I was hooked from the start I’m just now finishing it up now and I have you know I tackled my storage camper and I had two SUV trips to make. I’m not talking about just a few items but the whole back was full and yes it feels AWESOME. Now I can actually walk in it again. Thank you so much for sharing you have a new subscriber here.😊
Hi Shelby! You have wonderful declutter videos, I love to watch you organise and discuss everything, some TH-cam declutter people drag the conversation about stuff that isn't that helpful or interesting sadly, but you have a talent to make me keep listening in case I miss something you say because I love listening to you and your ideas! My suggestion with your dirty towels is to keep a washing basket on a bench or table that is strictly for dirty items only due to hygiene reasons. However if you don't have bench/table space in the laundry use an open basket that stands up on the floor if a hamper takes up to much room and or frequently gets damaged due to the steam from the washing machines being used over time. Using hard plastic will prevent mould and damage to materials such as wood and fabric. I hope this helps! Keep up the great work God bless you and your family! ✝️❤🕊🔥👑🙌🌼💐🥰
I just found you today. Wow! This was such a great video! It's nice to see a long and realistic decluttering video. I've been ruthless lately with minimizing everything in my house and I'm not done yet. 😁
Thank you so much!! It feels so good to get rid of everything you don't use. The best part about minimizing for me has been it doesn't take nearly as long to clean! 🫧
Honestly, now that you have declutterred the coffee bar and your dressers, nightstands you may want to consider getting smaller/sleeker units or maybe nightstands without drawers all together. It can help make your bedroom feel a little more spacious to not have such big furniture and for your coffee bar will just eliminate spaces for things to clutter up as much with a smaller unit. You did a really fantastic job! I’m sure over time, now that you are really working your decluttering muscles, you’ll start maintaining and maybe even further decluttering your space going forward 💗 Great job! I’m up at night with our 15 day old (5th baby 🤩) so thank you for giving me something to watch 😘 My house is super minimal so since my decluttering is pretty near done, it’s fun to watch others go through the process!
Im a housekeeper and the way you vacuumed your closet made me so so happy gave me so much satisfaction you’re the first person on youtube I’ve seen that vacuums in a straight line im subscribed
I just recently found your site. I am impressed with your decisive decluttering. I have multiple tubs for every holiday/season. I have 15 tubs for Christmas alone. Now, I am 69 years old and have been married for 45 years. I decorate mainly for the grandkids (4), though I truly enjoy decorating for the holidays. And, every time I do declutter some items. It’s an ongoing challenge.
I love that this is the 2nd or 3rd time organizing and area. Like you, after I got my makeup nicely organized, I realized I didn't use much of it. I have a clear zip lock bag I like to use for my daily/travel makeup and don't need much more. Even though I haven't touched it in 2 years, it's still a process to let it go. I'm being patient with myself and letting it sink in that I don't need those things so I don't find myself buying stuff I won't use all over again. I'm in the middle of a big spring clean and so far I love the open space and only keeping items I love.
Oh my gosh, I LOVE your Stitch sweatshirt! I absolutely love Stitch!! I really love your videos! I just found your channel and am sooo glad I did. Thank you so much for all of your encouragement and motivation!
I rarely buy books anymore. After our last power outage I bought some so I’d have something to read not having to use my iPad because I use the library. I can get almost anything I want to read and if the library doesn’t have it, I can buy it or otherwise, do. Without.
Yes!! 💯 Im down to hardly owning any books, my husband has a bit more of a collection than I do. But I get anything I want to ready from the library too 😄
Boxes. I get rid of them all now. I don’t keep them after a month incase I need to return because it stopped working. For me, having a box or not having a box has not stopped the things they came in from selling at good prices. However, I have been in this journey for about 10 years and each year I feel more motivated to get rid of more than I did the year before.
I have definitely decluttered my home. Not excepting a lot of things. Because I can easliy throw them away. Down sizing takes a lot of time and energy so its best to chose what kids like and keep those items and donate the rest.
Such a wonderful video - you decluttered so much and it's motivating and inspiring to watch each area in your home be the target of focus and be tweaked and worked on to allow best use for the family 😊
Once we are not renting and we own our own house ima end up with a "she shed" of just holiday decor because I LOVE to decorate for the different holidays plus we are not traditional when it comes to decorations or holidays so most of my decorations are hard to find and very specific so I'll definitely need a shed to store them in
I just subscribed to your TH-cam channel... I love this video. Great tips.. old towels we use to clean then throw away.. I need to declutter every room in my apartment...
love how u r like me trying and using multiple ways of organizing rather than buying new containers/baskets in lots 0f vid. also using the cubbies system for tall deep closet. I have those in all closet in our house.
I truly loved your decluttering/organization action/tips❣️ Im really hoping to share by chapter your videos with my 23yo GrandDgtr who has a 6 mo baby Son and needs these directions. Thank You ~ God bless you and your beloved💛🙏🏼✝️
Congrats on the whole house declutter. It’s very inspiring! The only decorations we keep is one small heart wreath for Valentine’s but because it’s white it gets used all the time that isn’t Christmas and 1 small metal bells Christmas wreath.
Mieszkam w Polsce.
I really like how you only take a few things out of the closet to decide whether to keep or donate. Some pull everything out of the closet and pile it on the bed, which I find so over whelming !
I’m kind of shocked by the amount of holiday decoration 😱 my entire decoration would fit into 1 of your huge boxes. I’m not that into decorating much. I’m wondering what you will do when your kid needs that closet for himself 😅
I have a hamper for hand towels and microfiber cloths. Before they are put in the hamper I put them out in the balcony to dry to avoid musty smells. Bath towels get washed and put back on towel racks or towel hooks often. Because there are so many microfiber cloths and hand towels their laundry gets done @1x/month.
Nice video and amazing minimalism. One comment for thought. You should avoid storing alcohol above stove. It is an accelerant if you have a stove top fire.
I know this video is older but I use cotton balls to switch out the wax in my warmers. Just put a cotton ball or two in the warm wax and it will absorb into them and then just toss. Was easier to switch out. Just some random info to share.
Dirty towels in the laundry room - I keep a hamper in the laundry room for any common area towels (kitchen hand towels, cloth napkins, dog towels, etc.) and there is a hamper in the bathroom to catch any dirty hand towels, wash cloths, and body towels. I have 5 teens and myself, so this is the best and easiest way to control the chaos!
Hi, you absolutely were a life saver to watch just in time for me to move and go through things I just do not need anymore. Great video!! ...I am wondering where to find the link to the tree skirt made from childrens Christmas pj's that you mentioned. Thank you soo much for this!!
Thank you so much! I'm glad this video was able to help you! I'm having a hard time finding any instructional videos or blog about how to make the pajama tree skirt. But I was planning on cutting them and sewing them together to make one solid piece of fabric and then using a tree skirt pattern ❤️ I'm hoping to make it this year!
I have two and a half (one is half as tall lol) Christmas bins and a 4 foot tree. Anything more would be horribly overwhelming, but I do live in a 500sf studio apt. Additionally, I believe it is the civic duty of people with large houses to decorate like crazy, especially the exterior where I can admire it when I drive through the neighborhood 😄
Here’s a tip, as I see that bin of various wrapping paper. I buy a nice white, works for all occasions and use some ribbon or other adornment on the package to pretty it up.
I use my take out silverware for when one of us is sick so we can leave food at the door of the room and it all goes in the trash ( paper plates/bowls, napkins, plastic silverware, etc.) It has really helped keeping the rest of the family from getting sick.
Incredible decluttering vlog. You made decisions quickly with decisiveness. So encouraging. It reminded me of Dawn the Mimimal Mom telling how she how she cluttered the first time but you showed us. I am a new subscriber looking forward to more vlogs.
I'm not sure you can see when someone comments on your old videos but I'm going to anyway. I just wanted to mention the sugar bowl, (which you maybe got rid of?), you will probably have guests that would like sugar in their coffee at times. That sugar bowl was so cute, too.
I still see them! 💕 I know that sugar bowl was super cute. But now it probably has a home somewhere it can be used. I didn't find myself ever using it. If on a rare occasion we have a guest over I can just take out our sugar container. 💕

Julie!!! Thank you! I miss seeing you at work too. I'm PRN day shift in sedation now, so I'm not completely gone but I don't see any of our night shifts anymore 😕
L
This video may be too late...Jan 1st 2023. I'll take the pacman bracelet. Lol
You should put the tall dresser in your closet.
finally! somebody who actually declutters and doesn't just put 'extreme decluttering!!!1!' and only gets rid of like 2 items lol
And she TIME STAMPED IT BY ROOM! ❤❤❤
Exactly what❤ said
Yes exactly! Great job 👍
This comment made me click the video and watch it, so thank you!
I had an abusive hoarder mom, so this video was super healing. I know it sounds weird 😅. It’s just the mix of good mom, and getting rid of things was so nice for me and healed my heart in a way
I'm so sorry your Mom was that way ❤️
I'm glad I could help you in this way! It sounds like you're able to break that hoarding cycle!
Great job
I watch a lot of videos like this one and this was probably one of the best I've ever watched. First, you really committed to getting clutter out of your home. Amazing declutter! The more you got rid of the better I felt, lol!
I can't even describe how good it felt to get rid of all that stuff! It's made it so much easier to clean up around our home too 💕☺️
Buy nothing is awesome
I enjoyed this video so much. I love when it's done in small sections instead of a gigantic pile! Excellent job!!
It made it so much more manageable to do in small sections/each room! I'm glad you enjoyed this video!!😄
The best declutter video i ever seen. Absolut amazing!😊
I loved this entire video, I did all of this to my apartment during the pandemic, and I have felt so much lighter. Like you said, I go back through things like clothes and shoes!!!😊
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! ☺️💕
Its so much easier to clean up too!
I just got a small container that sits in my wardrobe for clothes that I no longer want. So I can now declutter anytime, when the container gets full I go through it, to sort into trash or donate. I am now at the maintain level of organizing my home 😊🎉

I feel you are a teacher with your love of collecting things, awareness of what kids like, generous toward your children.
Yes! ❤
Even though I had seen your decluttering videos before, I watched again and picked up more tips! Your firm decision(s) to let go of what you're not using challenged me to dig deeper in my home. Thanks!!
Just found your channel. I love that you talk through your process instead of just putting on music. Thanks.
Holiday decor - I have very minimal decor. For Christmas, I have a small wooden tree that I put out on the mantel and some stuff for the Christmas tree, plus gifting supplies. I do sometimes wish I was a bit more festive, but I am just not that person, LOL!
Me clicking on this not noticing the length of the video 🙂
Me finally noticing and also seeing that there are chapters 😃
Gotta love chapters!! I tried to keep everything organized and easy to follow for this video!
The round tray. A memory blanket made with some of the children's clothes is a great way to use the favourite pieces, they can use it all the time.

I enjoy your podcasts. I was listening to your reference to the saying “keep it super simple”. That saying back in the 1970s was the kiss method meant”keep it simple stupid”. I think your new version is less judgmental, lol.
Haha 😂 Ive heard that one before too! I agree keep it super simple is a lot nicer.
I'm glad you enjoyed watching! 💕☺️
I love how you stated that you use the nap time as time to get something done. It is crucial to use time when you can. While something is heating in the microwave, I say what can I do while that is cooking. Using pockets of time has changed my life! Thank you!

I´m sick and you saved me from dying of bordom. So thank you! 😁 Hugs from Germany
I hope you are feeling better this year. Love from California, USA
2 new subscribers!!! We loved this! You didn’t overthink every single item. Thank you!
Girl I can so relate to your seasonal decor!!!!! I’m watching you as I purge my whole house and all I can say is this feels so good!!!!
Love the cord hiding idea - thank you!
I toss the boxes generally. You don’t need them for a return so they just take up space mentally and physically
For some reason this video popped up on my recommend videos and I was hooked from the start I’m just now finishing it up now and I have you know I tackled my storage camper and I had two SUV trips to make. I usually get bored of declutter videos but I absolutely loved your whole video! Love from the UK 🫶🏼
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it ☺️
This is perfect to put on when decluttering/ cleaning yourself ❤ thank you for this!!
This is the kind of declutter vlog i need. Very inspiring ❤
Thank you!! I'm so glad I could share some inspiration, it's why I make these videos! ☺️💕
Beautiful decluttering video Shelby! I wish you all the best and of course have a great week! 🥰❤️
Thank you so much! I hope your week is fantastic too 💕
You make it look so easy and manageable. Thank you for the inspiration
I loved this video!! I shared it with all my family. I wish all decluttering videos were like this!!❤

You make it look so simple… I am a grandmother who has so many sentimental things. It’s hard to declutter a lifetime of things…
Bonjour,
Je viens de découvrir ta chaîne et franchement BRAVO pour tout se désencombrement.
Best decluttering video on TH-cam, loved it.
Thank you so much!! That is a huge compliment!
My husband always said “ when storing items place them with the smallest footprint. I was glad to see you do that with your nail polishes.
love how u r like me trying and using multiple ways of organizing rather than buying new containers/baskets in lots 0f vid. also using the cubbies system for tall deep closet. I have those in all closet in our house.
I enjoyed this so much!!! You did a wonderful job!!!❤
They say alcohol or oils should not be kept over stove. If syove fire it could spread fire
I truly loved your decluttering/organization action/tips❣️ Im really hoping to share by chapter your videos with my 23yo GrandDgtr who has a 6 mo baby Son and needs these directions. Thank You ~ God bless you and your beloved💛🙏🏼✝️
Idk why but I loved this episode/series this helped me a lot lol
I just found your station. What a terrific series.
Congrats on the whole house declutter. It’s very inspiring!
The only decorations we keep is one small heart wreath for Valentine’s but because it’s white it gets used all the time that isn’t Christmas and 1 small metal bells Christmas wreath.
Mieszkam w Polsce.
How absolutely awesome……I just loving this……whilst declutterring here in Singapore ❤
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! It's so satisfying to declutter things you don't use 😊🩷
Loved watching this!❤ great ideas! I help others, been unable to for a few months due to a surgery! But live watching others and their fresh ideas❤!
I enjoyed this so much! I love the way you think. Thank you!
I really like how you only take a few things out of the closet to decide whether to keep or donate. Some pull everything out of the closet and pile it on the bed, which I find so over whelming !
Best decluttering marathon!! So satisfying💗
💙Love the feature wall in the primary, fantastic blue💙
I’m kind of shocked by the amount of holiday decoration 😱 my entire decoration would fit into 1 of your huge boxes. I’m not that into decorating much. I’m wondering what you will do when your kid needs that closet for himself 😅
Love the wooden tray for your everyday items.
Thank you! I'm pretty sure that's the one I'm going to go for! ☺️💕
This video is motivated, when the sun comes out and it stops raining.
Nice video and amazing minimalism. One comment for thought. You should avoid storing alcohol above stove. It is an accelerant if you have a stove top fire.
😲 that never even crossed my mind! Thank you so much for sharing 👍 those will be moved TODAY.
Best decluttering video. Loved “yes or no”
Love, love, loved this video and the way You declutter! Jannike Sweden ❤️🇸🇪
@@ShelbyMarybeth awesome, thank you for sharing the idea!!
Ooo I love your idea of storing bedding like that 😍
I have two and a half (one is half as tall lol) Christmas bins and a 4 foot tree.
Love that idea❤
That is a fantastic idea!! I've seen various ones with craft paper ribbons and some flowers that I think are simple yet beautiful too!
Thank you so much!! I'm glad you found this video helpful! ☺️💕
I do two bins for spring including Easter, three for fall, two for Halloween, and four for Christmas.
I like the round tray the best
Thank you for this video.❤❤❤
This is such a good video, thank you so much I´ve really enjoyed it!
Thank you so much for watching!! 🩷😊
I'm not sure you can see when someone comments on your old videos but I'm going to anyway. I just wanted to mention the sugar bowl, (which you maybe got rid of?), you will probably have guests that would like sugar in their coffee at times. That sugar bowl was so cute, too.
I still see them! 💕
I know that sugar bowl was super cute. But now it probably has a home somewhere it can be used. I didn't find myself ever using it. If on a rare occasion we have a guest over I can just take out our sugar container. 💕
Amazing job.. Congrats.. U really deserve a huge reward for all ur hard work n time.. thnx for sharing..💕
Thank you so much! The reward was being able to clean up our home quickly and spend more time with my family!! 💗💗💗
so much organization! I love it.
Thank you so much! ☺️💕
I enjoyed this video so much this is the second time I’ve watched it! Great job!!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Awesome ❤😊
I place a square laundry. basket between washers and dryer which keeps things off the floor and that is where I fold my laundry
TRULY enjoyed this video!
