I wouldn't want to defeat Vanderkaum and then suddenly appear in Shevat where Deus's core is there for no reason and explains the new plot before the credits roll. Or wait, actually, wouldn't that be kind of cool? New spinoff Xeno content.
why not? they made star ocean and dragon quest remasters and those are very good games w updated mechanics and graphics etc. i think they would make a great gears remaster.
@ They didn’t. Most Square games are outsourced. it’s really only FF and Kingdom Hearts that they make themselves. I just want Monolith handling Xeno-anything. Gears or Saga.

I usually hate talking about the culture war but if SE is gonna remake Xenogears… …Please keep it faithful to the original. I don’t mind “Wokeness” in new entries of established media or new media as a whole, but when it comes to a REMAKE, (Not to be mistaken for a Reimagining) it should be faithful. Reimaginings, go ahead do ya thing. But it’s not a remake if its not faithful.
I think the issue with Xenogears is more about respecting the authors original vision rather than they just hate Takahashi and Monolith Soft and don't want anything to do with the Xeno series. If a Xenogears remake were to happen I'm sure they'd want to get Takahashi and Monolith involved with it so the game could be as close to the original vision as possible. Granted the ambition of both Xenogears and Xenosaga are so great that the stories would have to be compromised again to get them done in a timely manner, so getting the original vision for either of them is probably impossible. Not to mention Square said they're shifting their priorities away from remasters/remakes like Star Ocean the Second Story R to focusing on their big AAA JRPG franchises instead. I think this is a pretty bad decision, but they'll do what they want to do I suppose. This probably means an HD-2D remake of Xenogears isn't a priority and probably won't happen for a good while now. TL:DR Bandai is significantly worse than Square so good luck praying for a Xenosaga remaster/remake to happen as well. A Xenosaga remaster/remake is potentially more likely as the relationship between Monolith Soft, Nintendo, and Bandai is much stronger than with Square Enix at the moment. Though Bandai is a completely different rotten can of worms. As a fan of the .hack series as well I can tell you even if a Xenosaga remaster/remake was projected to be profitable to them it probably wouldn't happen that easily as Bandai are all in on their half baked anime games these days as they print money. I think it's awesome that Xenoblade as a franchise has sold over 7 million units... Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 sold 12 million and DBZ Kakarot sold 8 million so far and DBZ Sparking Zero sold 3 million units in 24 hours. That's the competition these remasters/remakes have to deal with under Bandai. Do you think Bandai's higher ups will care if their projections say they're somewhat profitable? I'll just say my hopes for any remasters/remakes of anymore of their classic JRPG series outside of the Tales series went out the window when they prioritize an Among Us like Death Note game over them. I repeat an Among Us like Death Note game is more important to them. It'll probably make more money than a Xenosaga remaster would too because that's how ludicrously profitable the anime game industry is. Honestly I'm glad that Monolith Soft got bought by Nintendo and has had success with Xenoblade after leaving Bandai. I'm sure if they stayed they would have been typecast as an anime arena fighter developer like CyberConnect2, .hack's developer, was. Though I'm glad CC2 is self publishing spiritual successors to their original IP now as it's pretty obvious that Bandai doesn't care about them anymore and would rather they make endless Naruto and DBZ games instead. I mean they sold 8 to 12 million units so why care about their more passionate original IP that barely hit a million units sold. Anyway I'm really enjoying their current Fuga Melodies of Steel series, and I'm hoping CC2 can make a spiritual successor to .hack through their self publishing someday as well. F Bandai. I'm hoping Monolith Soft and CC2 can buy these IPs from them and remake these classic games someday instead of letting them fade into history.
Edit: contains spoilers, for xenogears Because they contain slave generators, or the connection to the zohar similar to the way conduit powers siren, ophion, aion, etc. Made by alien design.
You're right - people do lose their shit over "wokeness." I bet if Xenogears Remake was the next big thing, a bunch of fanboys would complain about how "political" it is that Fei's skin is a few shades too tan or something. Or champion it as "an anti-woke masterpiece" because of some surface level shit like Bart telling Billy not to give up his innocence being taken as anti-sex work or something, while also being completely oblivious to the *actual* politics like Solaris being a metaphor for Fascism and elites controlling people's lives and funding proxy wars for their own corrupt interests, and the Ethos being a metaphor for the Church.
@@hyliastone286I’m not entirely sure about the Taion bit. I heard it from somewhere. I would advise doing some research on that part. But if it’s proven to be real, then it proves that we live in a sad world full of racists.
Takahashi could do the same thing Kojima did with Death Stranding and attempt to buy the IP. Even if SE were to rerelease the game there is a pretty good chance that it would be rated M instead of T. I would enjoy the HD 2D style. In a joint company effort, the cut content would be restored on regards to Disc 2, but I suspect that there could be another FR or FC-like epilogue that could attempt to make a clos3r connection to the other Xeno games.
This unrelated but I think I have a reason as to why Shulk and Rex’s classes weren’t inheritable in Xenoblade 3, only read if you care about what follows. If not then you can ignore this comment: If voice acting was the issue, Monolith could grab the Soulhacker voice lines and put them on Grand Marshal and Master Driver. I think the issue is mainly with Rex’s class, and that they couldn’t balance it. (perhaps they didn’t want DLC powercreep from 2 to return, since Ino and Masha are nowhere close to being as good as Shulk, Fiora, Elma, Corvin, and Crossette in 2’s DLC) If Double Spinning Edge could be paired with Quickdraw (Full Metal Jaguar’s guaranteed evasion art), while still keeping its properties of crit recharge, it’d be Corvin Galactic Strike all over again. Infinite evasion, essentially. Xenoblade 3 would turn into a joke if it had infinite evasion (it does have many ways to evade attacks, but none as infinite as Galactic Strike from 2). Xenoblade 2 is a far more broken game than Xenoblade 3, it’s patently obvious. Regarding Gears, if it’s going to be remade, it shouldn’t be. Modern Square shouldn’t touch it at all, it doesn’t need them ruining it.
wait they panicked for Xenosaga they freaked out E3 gold for the beta of Xenoblade X there was a fucking luminous Zohar who was well hidden in Pyra's chest end of the game there was also one they farted and they didn't understand anything reincarnates 7 times in a row summary of the game there are two nations which are screwing up the dlc the final boss looks strangely like deus in not far from the reboot and it's weird it's all almost strongly reminiscent of Xenogears they farted They're so strong that they didn't understand anything and after all that there's no remasterd or ramek But it's almost nonsense.
Just remove the dungeons and stat checks from disc 1. Boom, modern game with modern standards, since everyone is okay with pixels again. Seems like an easy opportunity for Square.
I'm so f*cking exhausted of Final Fantasy after Final Fantasy. To be honest it got really old after FFX/X2. Square should quit milking this franchise and look at their other underappreciated IPs.
Disc 2 of Xenogears is my favorite visual novel of all-time. Disc 1 is my favorite jrpg.

I do not want modern Square touching Xenogears. If that means it never gets a remaster or remake, so be it.
Same for Chrono Trigger, another game Takahashi had a hand in.
