Making songs in Minecraft is more difficult now. The mechanics of sprinting have changed, and I don't have a good way to smoothly make speed changes to keep a good pace with the song. What I am doing now is using a tripwire hook in creative mode to start the song, which sends a signal to a command block to put me into spectator mode. Upon switching to spectator mode, I quickly move the scroll wheel up a bunch to increase speed, and then make adjustments to match the speed I want. From there I keep my hand really still, and make small tweaks to the scroll wheel speed as needed.

Thanks! I briefly tried 1.20, but the sprinting controls still don't work the way they used to, so haven't upgraded yet. I'm making the songs on 1.19.3 at the moment.
