What a treasure trove of tools! Thanks for sharing. Back in the day, a man could damn near build a house (or at least trim it out) from that chest! Very cool.
I will have my grandfather's wood under bench tool chests when I can haul them back. I should be the 4 th gen having them plus workbench. I always like them due to the craftsmanship put into then for what they needed back then...
Man-o-man! , too cool Guys! 😎 Personally not a wood working tool type, but old COOL tools, are still Old COOL Tools 😎😁 Thanks ferrrrrrr showin' ana sharin'!
The caliper is a beamis & call, the handles are for old carpenters screwdrivers or turn screws as the called them. Super cool gift and lots of treasures right there 🙌🏻🔥👊🏻
The first box was from either a cabinet maker or a trim carpenter. The panels on the inside lid were usually his work back in the day it was like your resume. Most of the curved planes are to make molding, and the chisels probably were to carve ornamental tops of furniture they dont look long enough to be turing chisels (could be wrong) as a carpenter my self that's a look back to craftsman ship was at its best by some amazing people imagine carrying that box to work eveyday

Thanks! My grandfather built his own house and probably used a lot of tools like this to get the job done!

Wow, Best gift ever. So many good things. Great Haul. Its hard to pick a favorite but the Marple level would be a great contender.
Thanks! It was an awesome gift!
That was a really nice treasure haul but the pick out of all of that would be the Marples level.
The Marples level is a beautiful piece, for sure!
