And this is why I love this channel! You guys are so real! I love how you're not afraid to tell it to us straight. I know what to expect when I get into school and after I eventually graduate.
Hi I`m a new nail tech an since i started i only got 1 client i wanted to give up because its hard very hard to stay in my chair an nobody`s coming i am renting also i wanted to quit but then i saw this video. Thank you for this it motivated me to relax wait an just put in the work an hours
It's so disheartening. I'm 1 week out of school - started my job right away, and am dependent on walk-in customers. In the 2 days I've worked so far I've just sat and watched for 8.5 hours both days, no clients, and no money earned. I'm not going to lie I'm PANICKING. I need to pay my bills lmao. I'm praying the weekend gives me something.
@@unasbyjaz1799 thanks. It’s just right now they’re only looking to give me “men and kids”. I don’t know what “kids” means to them. Like 10 year olds or not seniors? Lmao.
@@nailsbystephanie0826 men and kids? That’s weird? They hardly get their nails done. Maybe find another salon. The men that I did service at the salon are great tippers but they rarely came.
@@unasbyjaz1799 there are some kids appointments tomorrow and we do get a lot of male clients - they’re rarely walk-ins though. It’s not a permanent thing, they train all their new techs this way. I don’t want to jump ship after 1 week. This salon is in a great area and it’s always busy. Just need be patient I guess. ❤️
Love the msg guys, reminder that it does take time to build clientele and I'm here all serious taking mental notes and then you made me laugh towards the end 😄 😀 😆 love it!
I live where you guys tal about this topics, I was a 9 year partime nailtech and never have a full clientele. I determine to do it full time. Now I know this is the process but I'm gonna make it happen. 💪☝🏼🙏
My account said 3 to 5 years to start seeing results in your favor. 5 years for a profit. That is also what I read at Forbes too. Also not helpful that there is hair and nail salon in every corner.
That is not the average salary for a nail tech, but depending on your skills, experience, ambition & clientele it may be possible as a salon owner. Here’s a video showing a more realistic goal for an independent nail tech. th-cam.com/video/uNHjz_iJ9BY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SZwNm75aP7-HZlGJ
And never ever stop taking new clients !!!! Love your video
Thank you so much! 😊

It took me a couple of years to build a full clientele. I work 5 days a week and am pretty booked up by apointment only.

Men can be great clients. They're super easy to please and are great tippers most times.
