I too was a kid in the 70s . No mtv. Only the radio, Top 40 with Casey Kaisem. That's where you could hear the new music. I was very surprised that the dark haired guy was not a woman singing! When I saw them for the first time. Very Surprised Indeed! It's nice love song.

Bill Withers held a long note in the song "Lovely Day" which was back in the 1970's. I'm so glad that Jayvee did this video on Air Supply, because they are great. Air Supply had a great string of hits during the 80s and many of us loved them for it! I had a friend that I met on Facebook and we shared a love for their music. She passed a few years back...but every time I hear one of their songs, I think of her and ask if she's listening to it with me.

I get so much musical influence from my whole family. Dad was 70's rock, me & older brother were metalheads in the 80's, sisters listened to 80's pop. This reminds me of my mom. This was her favorite band and it wasn't even close. So many great memories. R.I.P. Mom, I love you and thanks for all the great influences you gave me.

I remember the first time hearing this song. It was in the movie Van Wilder. It's the scene where Van is in his dorm room, thinking the girl he loves is getting married, and a young Sophia Bush walks in, and he sings to her as he explains to her why he is heartbroken.
Air Supply are always consistently good. This is one of my favorites by them. If you listen to the album version of this song, at the time the song was released, the last note was the longest note in recorded history (the facts you learned from Casey Kasem). Another of my favorites by them is a lesser known song called "Now and Forever." Russell's voice is so pure in that song and there are a lot of the harmonies between Russell and Graham that you liked from this song.

Saw them twice at BB King's in NYC. Great shows and they walked among the audience, shook hands and took pictures.
