Oh it will be coming. Question is when. Rome Remastered is out, Feral have just released Med2 on mobile so i expect that to get a Remastered version. Then i would expect a Remastered ETW. Then ETW2. CA know how to milk the franchise.
& Napoleon 2 ; but with Napoleon 3 during Crimea War, Carlist war, American invasion of Mexico 1840, US civil war, Mayan vs GB war- Caste War, Franco Prussia War. But the focus is now keeping citizens happy and keeping the conservative/liberal/monarchal factions happy as well as the Minor states because Minor State armies are now much more powerful and ample than in NTW and the opposite poltiical group will finance and arm them to overthrow your state .. all while facing invasion from another country.
@@chibiromano5631 Carlist War mod is being worked on right now. It's built on Shogun 2 FotS. But yeah a professional game covering all the early modern era wars would be great. Definitely needs a Global map.

@@irgendeinname9256 Napoleon had barely any drills. FoTS gunpowder features is really lacking, only the visuals made people sees it as perfect. Even if it's the late 19th, the firing is too fast, no discipline at all.
I've been messing up with the pack file manager and managed to remove all the firing drills for infantry well at least to not make them apply to infantry once you researched them, and turned the "can skirmish" on lol now they are firing simultaneously, not quite as the massed fire but it's a continous volley as long as they can reload without dying so fast.
Guessing you didn't make any backups while editing files 🤔😀. Still some interesting results. I plan to DL PFM this weekend and try to learn/edit using it. Mainly for creating new Thumbnails.
I love this in game but after like one volley it starts brakeing I’ve had the unit just sit there and not shoot any thing because it’s glitched out normally a move order fixes it
Better than rank fire imo, yeah it's glitchy and causes friendly fire if bunched up but the fact that you keep a constant stream of bullets as opposed to 3 waves followed by a big downtime allows the squad to stay reactive and switch target if the original target runs away. Besides I'm sure anyone who's played empire knows how frustrating it is to have a unit enter the range of your line infantry, have the first rank fire and then having the enemy unit exit and the squad being forced to wait for the first rank to reload instead of kneeling and having the second rank fire.
I've put 500 hours into the game and I have come to the sad realization that while platoon firing should be better, fire by rank actually performs better in game (on average) than platoon fire
It is a incredibly game, still gives me joy to watch, a little tweaks, bug fixing, maybe some expansions and it would have been the jewel of the crown, it is a pity it didn't live to that potential.
The potential was there i think. But after 6 major patches ? i guess CA had, had enough of it and wanted to move on. The Warpath DLC wasn't that well received afaik.

Uk fire by rank and like this.i am using imperial splendours mod.with other mods (İ modified the mod using the pack file manager ) and everything looks nearly perfect. Now İam waiting for empire 2 So they can fix the glitches,AI, campaign problems,more politics, cities distribution and finally multiplayer campaign.
"Mods will fix that" or "just buy the next title so CA have the resources to fix" the rallying cry of every CA apologist. Was a really exciting idea but let down by execution.

I'm using the Imperial Splendor RoTR mod for Empire and NTW3 for Napoleon. The vanilla versions crash too like that. Reinstall, verify integrity, all that. They run fine for a week then CTD every time

Not sure if Imperial Splendor team are still around to ask help though. I would guess there's some old mod files leftover causing a conflict, happens even if you uninstall mods , verify and reinstall the game. Windows likes to hide old files. Once all sound in NTW stopped for no apparent reason, found out it was a few files from removed mods that was stopping the sound from activating.
Fire by rank was not useful for Napoleonic War, with the fire power, they prefered to volley fire at the same time to hit their morale too, so napoleon total war doesn't have Fire by rank, if u want to play fire by rank in napoleon total war, just download the mod.
I dont think constant fire is helpful enough to make it worth it. Rank firing unit will immediately unload 100% of their bullets being able to deal damage while the platoon firing one fires 20-30%. Maybe it can be better in rough terrain and at longer range since that alpha strike isnt as useful but at close ranges rank fire may simply anihilate the platoon firing unit before it can shoot with even half of its troops.

Well volley firing did tend to break down after the first few volleys anyway
