for that price for glitter pens, they should be shinier, more glittery, and more dazzling overall, the packaging should be much better, and especially the refills should be labeled [that is such a long-standing and common complaint about refills, it's inexcusable that they aren't
Thank you! I purchased a cheap-ish brand from Amazon, then went and watched your video and had my eyes opened. It turns out, I already had the Gelly Roll box from Sakura. When you showed it, my memory was jogged, then I went looking and FOUND them. I loved both videos. You're the BEST!
I have Sakura jellyrolls in their assorted differences and I love them. I use them when I feel like coloring mandalas and adding accents to my colored pages. I'll have to check out your video on how to add variety to using them. Thanks for another informative video.
I really love your reviews! They are so detailed and specific. I really like coloring with gel pens, so all your gel reviews have been really helpful! I wonder if you have ever reviewed the Color it gel pens.
I had a few Gelly Rolls as a kid and wanted to get that experience again, but I went for the budget brand and got a full set with a binder case(a really great deal compared to getting a binder separate). Totally happy with it.
I am at a point in my collecting/organizing in my craft room where I'd far rather buy a set of whatever that comes with a case or storage, than one that doesn't and I wish more of the better brands did, because I'd much prefer the better product, of course
Thank you for saying what country the Karin things are made in! I skipped around so I missed where the Tanmit pens are made. I'm considering buying a few Sakura Gelly Roll pens. I've seen a few negative comments, but mostly positive ones. I just write not color/draw, so my considerations are simpler.
4:53 Ahh, come on Mom, just one more treat, I be good!! Thanks again Jennifer and Steve for the contest… I really NEVER win anything. Y’all blessed my heart overwhelmingly 💓💗💖 With the things going on, this was the biggest glimmer of hope that things would get back to normal, I am ever so grateful. Thanks for all you and your team does❤ From Ohio 🇺🇸
Hello, I just received my shipment of Karin DECO GEL Milky Way markers and they had the refills in them. I you use a magnifying glass (yes, I was wearing my glasses), you can read the numbers on the refills. After visiting the Karin website, I deduced that the refills are the same as the ones included when you order all three boxes of the new gel marker (metallic, star sparks, milky way). There are 3 refills for Milky Way, 3 for metallic, and 3 for star sparks. Per website, *10 Free Refills include Metallic: Green, Silver, and Gold. MilkyWay: Green, Pink, White. StarSparks: Gold, Rose, S.S. Blue, Silver. Hope this helps. I was confused. You can buy refills for all. I have no idea what I'll do with the other 7 as I only ordered Milky Way. I already had metallic and glitter gel pens.
What size nib is best for coloring books or for coloring my own sketches? Your colored picture was beautiful. I'm in the budget restricted level, so above my pay grade.
I've had mixed results with gel pens. The Sakura usually works. The Tamit pens all dried up on me and I threw them out. However....brush markers(water based) are great to use. Best I have are Faber Castel but Lyra has a good line. Will try these brush markers. Thanks.
Thank you very much to both of you ! Great recommendations at the end of the video. I felt a little dissapointed by this gel pens in black paper. In my screen all it seemed grey colours.
Thanks your so patient and explain in detail! I already have the 120 Tanmit Glitter Gel Pens with refills. I love love love glitter gel pens... Absolutely Beautiful Mother's Day Page!
Love your videos. I have leaned so much. Of course I want everything you show us. I also have full set syndron.Of course I had to become a member. So glad I did.
Guilty!!! I have FSS, full set syndrome 😂😂😂😂😂😢 I love Karin! Best quality always. I think you should try them on black paper as the one in Archer and Olive Journals (smooth 160 gsm), I saw other reviews and the colors clearly show on that paper 🎉
Hi Jennifer, love you 😍 Because of you I got the tanmit gel pens last year and they are good. Just tried to order these gel pens but the full set is sold out. Gotta watch your white gel pen video. Thanks so much for all you do!
Thank you for sharing these with us. Did you find you were able to thicken the lines depending on the pressure? Super curious if that actually worked. I actually bought a set of tanmits several years ago, I think it was like 50 w 50 refills ( their refills are marker by numbers) they worked super well at first and then they all slowly started crapping out on me. I really thought I found "the one" . After that I unfortunately gave up on gel pens entirely because I just ended up waisting money on so many gel pens and kind of always disappointed w them. But I hope that the newer set of tanmits ( yours were not as old as mine) work really well. Have a great day
Sorry your cheap pens bombed out for you. Gel pens definitely are tricky and they do have a shelf life so they are better used when new. That’s one reason I love colored pencils…no shelf life!
I love all the gelly rolls pens! I've found the best glitter, metallic, gel pens! Besides GR!! Are the Colorit! Gel pens! I've got the full sets of gel pens!! For me!! They are as close to the GR! And they come in beautiful cases!🤷☺️❤️🔥🙋👍
Yes!! I am so proud of our swatch books. You can order them in a couple different formats and on a variety of paper types on our website. Enjoy! ❤️😊 ColoringBliss.com
Hi Jen, please please tell me what brand and color you put in your hair? It’s soooo pretty and my fav Color of all time! Thank you for your review of these pens, I love gel pens especially jelly roll. So it’s goo to know there are more great brands out there!
Karin products are hard to find in Canada. I had the exact same problem with the red gold deco brush from the first time I opened it! I would try these Karin gel pens. I have a full set of gel pens made by Kaisercraft and they’ve never worked very well. If anyone knows how to get gel pens working I’d love to hear
I've never tried this myself, but I've heard you can soak it in a small cup of scalding water for several minutes and that will get the ink flowing again.
They are both very high quality tools. Biggest difference is that the Olo markers are alcohol based so it performs differently then a waterbased marker.
it always irks me when they include the refill count in the total pen count on Amazon, they list as "240pena or 360pens, etc. and you have to read the description to see that they are including the refill sin that count, which seems equivalent to clickbait here on you tube, to me [of course you should always read the description when you buy anything] but it feels like they are counting [no pun intended] on you not reading it to me and seems kind of tacky
Great review of the Karin pens. In my opinion, all pens no matter what they're made of should show on black paper. I feel that there are very good cheaper gel pens available. If these pens did it all, then I would consider purchasing. Otherwise, I'll stick to the cheaper pens. Thanks so much!
I have a full set of Sakura gels pens. I purchased the Karin DECOGEL full set based on your review. They are horrible! The ink smudges on Rhodia white paper, vellum and black paper. They feel scratchy when writing, instead of having a nice smooth feel. I’m going to try to get my get my money refunded, but unfortunately Karin’s won’t accept returns on opened and used merchandise. Very sad.
Aside from the super high price, the poor choice of reds and greens are a turn off for me. When my current colors of what I have on hand get to the point of not working well enough, I think I’m going to give the Tanmit a try. My favorites, of course, remain the Gelly Roll. I get those in mt favorite colors open stock as needed. When I can use a coupon. Lol
I was searching through your past videos and curious if you have ever done any videos covering Stabilo pens? I’m looking into buying either the Stabilo fine liners or the Staedler triplus fine liners with the intention of using them for fine details in coloring books. Just couldn’t find any videos talking about Stabilo on your channel not sure if there’s a reason or if you just haven’t gotten around to it yet. Tia!
Both Stabilo and Staedtler make a good fine point pen…similar to the ultra finepoint Sharpie pens. Another option would be Arteza. I think I did a video on these MANY years ago but I’m not sure. Good luck and have fun coloring.
But will these gel pens continue to work in the coming days or quit working like all the rest? Gelly Roll Pens work intermittently and some never at all. I've tried all the tricks that appear on youtube to get them to flow, even the brand new ones. I hate gel pens!!
Mine were delivered with 4 of the Milky Way pens leaking into the lids, I cleaned them up washed the lids in soapy water, I got them out to use a few days ago and again I had leaking pens the black one was a mess all over the box when I took the lid off, i have now been fully refunded ….. at that price point it really should not be happening. I wouldn’t buy again .
I don't think $2.00 a pen is bad. They don't wow me. I would spend $100.00. Thank you for your comparison. That is really helpful. Rose is a busy gal tonight. So cute❤
10 refills? Whuh....? At the price point, I could get a good set of pens with refills for ALL the colors and have a substantial chunk of change left over. They look like nice pens but the price makes it a definite pass. They are pretty, but....nah.
for that price for glitter pens, they should be shinier, more glittery, and more dazzling overall, the packaging should be much better, and especially the refills should be labeled [that is such a long-standing and common complaint about refills, it's inexcusable that they aren't

I have the tanmit gel pens which I purchased after watching your previous video and absolutely love using them.
I’m so glad to hear that the Tanmit was a win for you. Thanks for sharing.

I didn’t know the full set was sold out. Thanks for letting me know.
Will you please do a review on ooly gel pens
I had the same problem with the gold in my set. They replaced it and it and it was just as dry.
Must be an issue with that pen. I will see what the company says.

how do you think the PRObrush MARKER compares to OLO markers?
They are both very high quality tools. Biggest difference is that the Olo markers are alcohol based so it performs differently then a waterbased marker.

Review Temu Gel Pens! Want to see if worth it
That company is under investigation now for human rights abuses.
Anyone know if the Tanmit gel pens fit in the Cricut Explore Air 2?
I wish I could answer that for you. Hopefully someone here will know.

Tannet is the best.
How u doing?- Bravo! total good masterpiece~📹
Oh thank you
I agree about good packaging but not everyone are able to remove items that are tightly bedded in the slot.
Agreed…I have some gel pens that the packaging is way too tight and I had to remove all the pens just to make them useable.
Love❤

We have 2 boys…both are grown.
I just bought my first gel pens, glitter masters touch from hobby lobby, only $5 on sale, but am not sure why anyone needs 120 colors of gel pens.
Sounds like you got a great deal…enjoy them ☺️
My gel pens stop working
Much of the time
I don't think $2.00 a pen is bad. They don't wow me. I would spend $100.00.

These pens, are horrible for Smearing , and don't do good at all

So much single use plastic packaging this really needs to be improved across all art suppliers and stationary manufacturers.
