The first service was $400 is basically for an oil change which is not bad, but they killed you on the second one with the addition of the brake fluid flush which which is labor intensive. I only took my 2014 R8 V10 only once to the dealership for a recall on coolant expansion tank and offered me $2000 for 5 year service which included spark plugs, oil change, cabin filter change which I think is not bad. But I refused it since I know I did not need plugs at that time with my low miles. Five years later it still runs like new with the same plugs. These cars are really reliable than my Toyota Camry. I don’t want to brag but I do my own oil and brake service on my R8 and it is pretty cheap 😂
@@Supercaradventures That’s why my wife is always scared when I’m working on my cars, safety is top priority and if you’re not too skilled, paying for it at the dealership is not bad. I think the rate they charge you is fair at the Chicago area 👍
My oil change reminder recently came on so I’ll be taking it in for its second oil change and anything else that is due soon. I have Audi Care so it shouldn’t cost me anything.
I don’t recall the hourly rate. I’m not aware of this car being particularly difficult to service, but the dealer needs to have an R8 Master tech on site in order to work on this car
400 is actually cheap for an oil change on R8,, I do my own oil change in a mod Rsq8. Using Motul oil and is about 400$
Glad to hear. I think the second year service was more shocking to me. But that’s the cost of a supercar, I guess
stock exhaust?
Sounds like a real chaff cutter.....Really noisy!

I agree, it's very pricy. I don't have the skill (or equipment) to work on my own cars so I'm at their mercy

what is labor cost? Is it hard to get to the oil plug?
