Smith might not realize that we have a couple generations of Latvian Americans raised in EXILE during the Soviet occupation of Latvia -- add to that a whole nation that only regained its independence in 1990-1 -- all -- and i mean all of us -- rooting for KP. Smith would do well to compare African American history to the history of the Native People of Latvia. That might help explain KP's heart. Dare I compare KP to Muhammed Ali? Latvians were owned by landowners. We were bought and sold right along with property. Not a lot of people talk about that, but it's true. So, when Latvians watch KP competing in the USA -- in the actual "real" NBA -- we lift him up in our hearts as he jumps -- we want his shots to go in from thousands of miles away. Let that one sink in. He's a hero just for getting picked. He's a hero scoring 4 points -- not to mention 29. He's a hero if he never plays another game, and he's a hero if he dominates the court for a decade -- or two -- or longer! After KP6 dropped 24/14 (with Seven blocks) last night, today's NY Post headline read, "Kristaps Porzingis dominates in jaw-dropping tour de force." I really enjoyed listening to Stephen A. Just goes to show you, that self-proclaimed "experts" like Smith aren't experts at all; they are just loud, pride-filled folks that think they know something about something that they themselves have never done or accomplished.
+Eric Wohner I believe you are correct in assuming that these "experts" often times are just as clueless as anybody else. I however am a bit cautios when it comes to Kristaps,(as I would be with any young promising player) not that I don't want him to be great, I truly do and it would be a fantastic experience to watch great basketball from him for years to come, but I don't like the media and fans getting this excited so soon ( not even half of a season has passed) and I do believe that being a bit more reserved is a better way to handle watching Kristaps play, atleast till the end of his rookie season. But maybe I'm wrong and he is already ready for high praise and greatness, I guess time will tell.
Mr.Jack Daniels Sorry to desapoint u, but he's in NY, the mecca of bball and one of the most hype media machines. Remember Linsanity? even if it lasted a few weeks, Lin was so popular. It was the most talked about story in the media. KP has a great story for the media to make off of it.

Maybe you Knicks fans should watch draft videos before booing the kid & saying he's not good. A lot of people know about him. He played in a pro league in Europe. The videos is in TH-cam just do a little searching. SAS knows nothing about basketball. Real players & analyst like Michael Thompson knew this kid even before the beginning of last season.
@@ericplnc1 me to, when they booed Kristap i was disgusted cause I thought even then he was the best player in the draft, this was Phil Jackson's greatest selection in my opinion
***** I am old enough that I had the opportunity to watch Shawn Bradley's career and he was nothing more than decent marginal center, he was 7'6 that was about it.
+Chocolate Doritos Exactly. As a Laker fan it was immediately obvious what Phil was doing with those comments. He loves to use the media. I was surprised it went so over Stephen A's head.
When you are an ignorant that never saw a Porzingis game on the ACB(Spanish league), then this happens. Thank god in Spain we have a great league with awesome players.
Even if he did watch it, it's the Spanish league. It may be a good league, but it's nothing compared to the NBA, that's why he was rightfully concerned. It's not ignorance; it's caution.
Maybe you can´t make a comparison in the phisical aspect, cause obviously NBA are waaaay better. But in questions such as tactic order, defensive sistems and ball movement Europe in general is much better. In the NBA they are like 2 or 3 teams that have some order and they share the ball, in Europe everybody plays and gets in the game, and for me that is the most beautiful way of playing.
KP tearing up the nba still. Time bookmarks -> 0:06 Initial Criticism of Knicks draft pick 0:25 Malcolm X style rant "Hoodwinked!" 0:53 Phil makes Shawn Bradley comparison. Stephen A sounds off 1:30 Continued criticism of Porzingis 2:55 Stephen A finally praises Porzingis 4:18 Molly: "Take a selfie with Porzingis" ORIGINAL STEPHEN A REACTION to Porzingis draft: th-cam.com/video/5RNX0ofgbUY/w-d-xo.html
+usmcnyc636 Porzingis was placed at 4th in the mock draft and was like 6th or 8th last year when he canceled because he was too young, maybe fans didn't know about him, but it wasn't like journalists didn't rank him high or didn't know about him, it was that some of them choose to act like that wasn't the case or play ignorant for their own agenda. Stephen A. Smith wouldn't have went on such a rant if Jackson would have drafted any other black dude in the draft, evident by Smith saying he would have had absolutely no problem with and in fact would have very much PREFERRED Jackson drafting: Towns, Okafour, Winslow, Russell, Mudiay, Payne, Turner or Johnson, or else put, any other black dude in the the draft. This is the 100th time this clown, who only has this job because he is an affirmative action guy, behaves this way. The Knicks supporters can get a pass, but this motherfucker can go straight to hell.
+dan16000 Stephen A's ignorance was based on us not seeing him compete in America. I don't think it was flat out racism. Stephen A is not racist. He just goes off of self-righteous ignorant rants, which he is allowed to do because Skip is there to check him.
I usually agree with Stephen A smith comments and I know the dude knows his basketball and takes his job very serious. However, if you're gonna make such strong remarks as "Deceiving" to the Zen master, then perhaps you should've gone back and looked at Porzingis before you decide to go on a rant and make a fool out of yourself. I'm not a knicks fan, but glad to see you guys get something good finally.
+Joetothe Flow "I know the dude knows his basketball "....he clearly doesn't though. He just admitted that he took his opinion from secondhand sources, he didn't actually formulate his own opinion. It took me 10 minutes to watch youtube highlights to see that the guy was far from a project, but SAS is too lazy and conformist to even do that.
+Kevin Durant Sorry bud glad to say Porzingis wants to be a Knick for the rest of his life and just Bc a couple of fans were booing doesn't make the whole city of New York was mad about this pick
Stephen A just admitted that he bad talked a player whom he'd never seen play ....He's on tv..being paid, trashing people's names, yet he'd never even seen him play....
he was trashing phil jackson for wasting a pick on someone nobody knew about after having the worst season in knicks history ..it wasnt even about porzingis
Jpgoeagles Yea no..Still dumb as hell lol. Who else did he want Phil to pick...Winslow? KP was the best pick available, idk why Stephen A cried about it
also, I don't wanna reignite that whole NBA vs NHL debate, but the experts at the NHL draft all know at leats the top 50 prospects. They are sometimes also uncertain about Europeans, but they would never claim they've never seen someone before and then talk crap about them. At least Smith kind of admitted he was wrong in the end.
+Swagging Krunch and thats saying something cause KAT and Okafor are playing well. I think KAT is playing the best so far but he was the #1 pick thats to be expected. Everyone gave KP shit for no reason and he is shutting them up quick
+Swagging Krunch He's getting rookie of the year. The draft analyst did say that he was the best talent in the draft but people booing and Steven A. Smith rant were more convincing.
+AQGOAT24 Big KAT's a great talent, but in terms of who's had more effect on their team, pound-for-pound, you've got to give it to Porzingis. KAT has tons of fellow young talent to aid him. Porzingis has almost singlehandedly restored dignity to Knicks fans--not that they really deserve it.
I hope Kristoph leaves after his rookie contract is over. The Knicks do not deserve him, the fans are ungrateful, and even Melo got heated when he was picked. New York fans are all brats man...
you're absolutely right bro. after NYK fans they booed him it's a testament that they don't deserve to have this kid... i hope this kid realize it soon..
+isaiahcow1 He'll still stick around with the Knicks. The criticism from the fans since draft day gave him motivation. I just hope he lasts longer than Linsanity.
@PoeticJustice that's funny, on a video of stephen a smith who constantly brings up being black, and black people, saying its white people who pull it has me dying
One huge criticism I have of Stephen A for all of this. YOU NEVER SAW HIM PLAY OVER SEAS. Instead of talking shit on someone you never heard of, how about you do some research and watch some of his damn film and form your criteria around that. Come on.
Porzingis in Seville just was a fucking beast, i enjoyed him 2 years (18-20) and he gonna be better than Pau Gasol, i call this now. As spaniard i saw much from this guy and he gonna be a legend like Sabonis, Nowitzki, Gasol, Petrovic, Kukoc and Parker.
+drbryant23 I'm not sure he actually backpedaled. He says numerous times, that he likes him a lot more than he thought he would, he also says he has heart and isnt afraid of the big moment, which is something you cant measure until the season is well underway. He changed his mind after seeing proof more so than backpedaling, like most of NY and the rest of the American media.
Melo not doing much. Should had pick another team and win a ring there. Guess that Kristap might pull a Bryce Harper, who I'm pretty sure he will leave my Nats for the Yankees as soon as he hits the free agency. His fucking agent would rip Nats apart
melo is the worst from of nba player, he in in the category as dwight imo, heck even worse, melo does not care about a ring, heis NY for the lifestyle and money.
+dfjr1990 no, not one peason in the USA thought he would be good, because you people judge players that you never saw, we Europeans knew that we will be a beast...
+David Dimec It's not even that. We never even heard of this guy until like 2 weeks before the freaking draft. I completely disagreed with picking some "hot new prospect" just because a few "experts" said he was really good. These same experts said D'Lo Russell was the MOST COMPLETE player in the draft. He's freaking slow as hell
How is that a bandwagoner? He was born in New York has been a Knicks fan his whole life and was pissed at a draft pick that was made. He wasn't mad at porzingis he was mad a Phil Jackson. Now that porzingis is good he realized that he was wrong and now is back to appreciating Phil Jackson. That doesn't mean he's a bandwagoner
Flash forward to this year and KP is going OFF! Added 20lbs of muscle. Youngest player in nba history to score 30 or more points in the first 5 out 6 games to start a season. You know what time it is....The Unicorns Time to Shine baby!!!! Go NY.
I don't care what anybody says but this kid is a huge Rookie of the Year Contender. This kid's got the energy level of Shaq in his prime, the way he puts back. Come on peeps
Not even close.....Karl Anthony Towns was the far away rookie of the year. Kristap was simply a surprise player who turned out to be better than most expected, but he is no game changer...I don't see the Knicks being any better with him hat they were without him
+UchawiBeatz2K16 you just compared him to shaq in his prime please tell me how he is even half of the player of shaq in his prime lol so fcking stupid shaq would literally drop 200 on him don't get me wrong he is good but not even close to the legend shaq
+bigbullbk towns will probably be the rookie of the year, but only because his team sucks even more so his numbers will be inflated. towns is averaging 30 minutes a game. kris is getting like 25
+solomonshv His team doesnt suck as bad as last year. They have been competitive. You know what team actually sucks is 76ers. Jhalil is by himself and should win ROY. Towns has Wiggins, Rubio, and other guys before him on offense.
+Karpe Diem-Romantic Okafor is overrated as fuck and is lucky to be on a shitty team that allows him the freedom to have the ball. He can't defend, is turnover machine, and rebounds at a mediocre rate.
Ramon Suarez He is not overrated. Watch him play and you will see how his low post game is actually one of the best in the league right now at 19. He didn't choose where to go either, but we have to give credit when credit is due. He is playing at a high level. Every player has their flaws, no one is perfect. Remeber he is a rookie and only 19.
I was on of the many Knick fans that were pissed during this draft. We were mad cause we drafted someone who wasn't proven. Especially in a stacked draft were we could've gotten anyone, we got a skinny kid from some European country that nobody had heard of. Now, I'm excited! This kid can BALL! I see him as a more defensive, more athletic Dirk. He'll be an All Star in the next 2-3 years, guaranteed.
+HENAO CASTANO SANTIAGO GI When he fully develops his game, there's no doubt in my mind that he could average 23/11 and at least 1.5-2.0 blocks a game. And btw, there are 196 countries on Earth, I'm bound to miss a few, jackass.
Because some player is from Europe and americans don't watch top leagues from there it doesn't mean player is not ready. If player plays in Spanish or Turkish league he's prepared 10 times more than any dude who played in college because he played against real competition
It's actually good to be criticised by Stephen he always gets his predictions wrong. They should kick his ass off the air lmao. If I was a NBA rookie I would legit send him flowers and a champagne bottle if he says I suck.
makes me laugh that Stephen A tends to forget that the internet has been around as long as he’s been on tv. the fact that he goes up on tv nowadays and tries to hate on people for trash talking players and disrespecting them is comical. and even funnier that he acts like he’s NEVER done it when numerous athletes have called him on his bullshit for years. never have and never will like this dude idc how entertaining people find him
This is crazy haha. When me n my friend played 2k16 all day we had porzingus on our team and he was our favorite player. The dudes overall was whatever I think it was mid 70's but he was just a beast. He made 3s got rebounds and was a good shooter. And now he's like a huge star for the knicks...it's like 2k knew this guy was Guna b big
What I see in Kristaps is a lot of the same traits the Admiral (David Robinson for you younger people) had. Mobile, agile, good shot, excellent footwork, good handle on the ball, great off the ball tracking. Now, he's still young (he's four years younger than the Admiral was as a rookie), and New York could still screw things up with him, but from what he's shown already this young man has a bright future in front of him and he has all the potential necessary to be a true superstar. I hope he becomes an absolute terror in the Big Apple.
I love how Skip says "he may be rookie of the year" and then stephen a. says "but that's not saying much" ...... like what? that's the best award you can get for what pick the Knicks should have gone with. do you want him to be mvp his first year too?
Stephen A should be ashamed of himself. How could He said what He said about this kid ! He ripped him of without even know is skills. Thats prejudice... Cheers from Portugal
A good exhibit of the truth...guys like Stephen A. Smith are just loudmouths who are paid because they are amusing to watch. They actually know jack shit. Phil Jackson's first choice for a coach was Steve Kerr and his first pick was Porzingis. Let that sink in so you can appreciate how incredible his eye really is.
Updated statement on kristaps porzingis from Stephen a smith... "I am sorry I doubted KP....i I ran my mouth off because he was white and I assumed he couldn't play ball, boy do I look stupid...effective immediately I am resigning from any profession that will allow me to discuss sports because I know absolutely nothing"
Phil Jackson 13 rings SAS Zero rings not even a pro career in basketball Yet he thinks he knows more than the zen master At this point Porzingis has destroyed his reputation Stop backtracking SAS & say you are wrong & sorry to the kid.
He is a racist his complaints and critiques are 90% against non blacks, Jeremy Lin, Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Tebow, Tom Coughlin. And I don't even watch his shows I mainly follow NY teams and I am black hispanic, but this dude is slightly unfair and prejudice.
To be fair Porzingis turned out to be not that good anyways. If he was an all star in Dallas then sure but he wasn’t even good enough to be second fiddle to Luka
He’s good but he’s a player who puts up numbers on losing teams like he’s doing now for the wizards in winning basketball he can’t do it he showed that playing for the mavs he’s a 3rd option on a championship team at best but SAS acted like he was the 2nd coming of Andrea barganani
but he probably isn´t ashamed at all. I mean, that dude just hated on porzingis without ever having watched him play. it doesnt get any more biased than that, besides that SAS is often plainly wrong, says dumb stuff and later when it turns out to be wrong flat out lies about is (e.g. calling curry the best player in the world last year on multiple occasions, and after the finals flat out lying about that)
stephen a smith talks like HE HAS THE CAPS LOCK ON

It's cause he wasn't American, he was the exact same way with Giannas, Luka & Simmons
W.T.C 1990 I think it’s more of his lack of knowledge regarding European players
@@ericplnc1 me to, when they booed Kristap i was disgusted cause I thought even then he was the best player in the draft, this was Phil Jackson's greatest selection in my opinion
Such a dumb comment. Stephen A has given hate and praise to all types of players. Most Knicks fans werent sold on Kristaps when he got drafted
Love how he admits he never saw Porzingis play in Europe, and acts like that doesn't invalidate his opinion.
Phil was trolling with that Shawn Bradley comment lol.
+natrone23 he was trying to cover his ass in case he ended up being a bust
+AdsE462 nah living in New York Phil is always trolling matter of fact I might be him right now
***** I am old enough that I had the opportunity to watch Shawn Bradley's career and he was nothing more than decent marginal center, he was 7'6 that was about it.
i think he could've used that to motivate porzingis.
+Chocolate Doritos Exactly. As a Laker fan it was immediately obvious what Phil was doing with those comments. He loves to use the media. I was surprised it went so over Stephen A's head.
2:14 "I never saw the guy play" and look at the stuff he said
When you are an ignorant that never saw a Porzingis game on the ACB(Spanish league), then this happens. Thank god in Spain we have a great league with awesome players.
real talk. stephen a should have watched porzingis footage.
In the NBA they are like 2 or 3 teams that have some order and they share the ball, in Europe everybody plays and gets in the game, and for me that is the most beautiful way of playing.
the Same had Dirk Nowitzki to face Off.
the american are so ignorant about others.
hammersbaseball11 What about pau gasol? He came from the acb and has been one of the greatest players for some time.
Mad respect to Porzingus for proving everyone wrong and showing the NBA that he is valuable instead of letting the criticism get to him
What?
And now he just won an NBA Title
From the bench
@IDF-Volunteer420 he start all RS game he played.. he play 7 playoff game and start 4 😂 you a xxxxxx

ORIGINAL STEPHEN A REACTION to Porzingis draft: th-cam.com/video/5RNX0ofgbUY/w-d-xo.html
+usmcnyc636 Especially in year one. Personally, I really wanted Mudiay, but as of right now, I have no complaints.
+dan16000 YOU HAVE HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD, HE Wanted ANY BLACK PLAYER.
+dan16000 Stephen A's ignorance was based on us not seeing him compete in America. I don't think it was flat out racism. Stephen A is not racist. He just goes off of self-righteous ignorant rants, which he is allowed to do because Skip is there to check him.
+sathish3692 Thanks for your videos I enjoyed them very much
I usually agree with Stephen A smith comments and I know the dude knows his basketball and takes his job very serious. However, if you're gonna make such strong remarks as "Deceiving" to the Zen master, then perhaps you should've gone back and looked at Porzingis before you decide to go on a rant and make a fool out of yourself. I'm not a knicks fan, but glad to see you guys get something good finally.
+Joetothe Flow
"I know the dude knows his basketball "....he clearly doesn't though. He just admitted that he took his opinion from secondhand sources, he didn't actually formulate his own opinion. It took me 10 minutes to watch youtube highlights to see that the guy was far from a project, but SAS is too lazy and conformist to even do that.
Are you fucking kidding? Stephen has made a career of being a child and an idiot
+Kevin Durant Sorry bud glad to say Porzingis wants to be a Knick for the rest of his life and just Bc a couple of fans were booing doesn't make the whole city of New York was mad about this pick
+Nabeal AbuHamdeh there was quite an uproar, not just a few fans.
+sf giants fan Stephen a smith probably knows his basketball better than you do
Stephen A just admitted that he bad talked a player whom he'd never seen play ....He's on tv..being paid, trashing people's names, yet he'd never even seen him play....
he was trashing phil jackson for wasting a pick on someone nobody knew about after having the worst season in knicks history ..it wasnt even about porzingis
Jpgoeagles Yea no..Still dumb as hell lol. Who else did he want Phil to pick...Winslow? KP was the best pick available, idk why Stephen A cried about it
+Persian Rugs cuz phil said it would take 2-3 years for him to be good
+Jpgoeagles Just like Winslow.
+Persian Rugs He played basketball in college.
Tbh it shows nothing more than American arrogance about basketballers coming from Europe.
also, I don't wanna reignite that whole NBA vs NHL debate, but the experts at the NHL draft all know at leats the top 50 prospects. They are sometimes also uncertain about Europeans, but they would never claim they've never seen someone before and then talk crap about them. At least Smith kind of admitted he was wrong in the end.
* 1 Americans arrogance
Don't judge someone you don't know...
Project my ass porzingis might be the best from the draft
+Swagging Krunch and thats saying something cause KAT and Okafor are playing well. I think KAT is playing the best so far but he was the #1 pick thats to be expected. Everyone gave KP shit for no reason and he is shutting them up quick
+Swagging Krunch KAT is clearly the best come on now.
+Swagging Krunch He's getting rookie of the year. The draft analyst did say that he was the best talent in the draft but people booing and Steven A. Smith rant were more convincing.
+Rayshawn Hampton It's a good thing we Russell went to the lakers. He's starting to look like a bust.
9 years later....
Porzingis, a proud champion with the Boston Celtics, the greatest basketball franchise in history 😁
This video never gets old... I love coming back to this.... LOL ... KP Doing Ivan Drago on SAS's Apollo Creed.
I used to really hate Stephen but now I really find it funny watching him. He is the funniest bandwagon in the world.
bandwagon? New nba fans like you are just so clueless.
Lmfao
"Stephen A, should the Knicks build around Porzingis?"
Stephen: Hell no!
DeMar DeGoatzan more like HELL NO
Stephen A should the Knicks build around Porzingis? "Hell No" Lmfaooooooo that shit was funny as hell
+James Morrow No they shouldn't lol. It's his first season. He is great though I love the pick.
+hotman718 Yes they should. Who else are they going to build around, Melo?? Melo's time is done, you build for the future and Porzingis is the future.
+Ed C23 i agree Melo is getting to old :) so trade Melo for a great player to be to play alongside Porzingis
Trade him for a lottery pick
2:02
LMAO
I hope Kristoph leaves after his rookie contract is over. The Knicks do not deserve him, the fans are ungrateful, and even Melo got heated when he was picked. New York fans are all brats man...
Melo gonna start getting jealous cause he ain't the "man" anymore.
you're absolutely right bro. after NYK fans they booed him it's a testament that they don't deserve to have this kid... i hope this kid realize it soon..
+isaiahcow1 He said he loves NYC and wants to stay there.
+isaiahcow1
Trade this guy for Draymond Green. GSW won't lose any game. Hahahaha...
+isaiahcow1 He'll still stick around with the Knicks. The criticism from the fans since draft day gave him motivation. I just hope he lasts longer than Linsanity.
Tingus Pingus is a champion now too!☘️
How could someone not like Porzingy, one of the best underdog stories I've seen
What?
Because SA was born a hater with bad opinions and will die a hater with bad opinions .
I swear Stephen A hates anyone who's not American?
Sandeep Das black*
Lavar Ball FACTS
He sure loves them chinese money tho.
PoeticJustice it’s black people who always pull the race card wtf 😂😂
@PoeticJustice that's funny, on a video of stephen a smith who constantly brings up being black, and black people, saying its white people who pull it has me dying
this video has one of the best thumbnails on youtube. well done.
appreciate it bro
This is great. I don't know which I enjoy more - KP's highlights or Stephen A backpedaling.
Stephen A. Smith def needed to be dragged kicking and screaming into acknowledging Porzingis was actually that good lol
Should the Knicks build a team around... HELL NO!!!
+Noah Raymond ikr , lmao
Melo not doing much. Should had pick another team and win a ring there. Guess that Kristap might pull a Bryce Harper, who I'm pretty sure he will leave my Nats for the Yankees as soon as he hits the free agency. His fucking agent would rip Nats apart
melo is the worst from of nba player, he in in the category as dwight imo, heck even worse, melo does not care about a ring, heis NY for the lifestyle and money.
And they didn't, they traded him.
He turned out the best thing to happen recently to the Knicks. I trust him more than Carmelo
The definition of a bandwagoner.
+Ricky Leung That's not bandwagoning. Its needing proof to see if he will be good. Not one person on earth thought he would be good until we saw him.
+Ricky Leung hes a knicks fan bro
Flash forward to this year and KP is going OFF! Added 20lbs of muscle. Youngest player in nba history to score 30 or more points in the first 5 out 6 games to start a season. You know what time it is....The Unicorns Time to Shine baby!!!! Go NY.
Now he's a Celtic and I hope he does well this upcoming season
I don't care what anybody says but this kid is a huge Rookie of the Year Contender. This kid's got the energy level of Shaq in his prime, the way he puts back. Come on peeps
+UchawiBeatz2K16 You don't know shit about basketball put backs don't make you a great player
+miko4137 I was expecting someone who would respond, not just talk nonsense. Go check this kid's stats and we'll talk
+UchawiBeatz2K16 He's 7'3 shooting 42% from the field
Not even close.....Karl Anthony Towns was the far away rookie of the year. Kristap was simply a surprise player who turned out to be better than most expected, but he is no game changer...I don't see the Knicks being any better with him hat they were without him
+UchawiBeatz2K16 you just compared him to shaq in his prime please tell me how he is even half of the player of shaq in his prime lol so fcking stupid shaq would literally drop 200 on him don't get me wrong he is good but not even close to the legend shaq
No better feeling in the wold than when you get a chance to prove doubters wrong KP is Rookie of the year so far
+MusicKnowledge1 He's up there in 2nd or 3rd place. Most likely Towns might get it.
Stephen A. Smith: "Porzin-Jiss" 😂
He won't be a "llittle" Dirk, he will be his own man and surpass everyones expectations
+Sorin Vasile Bogdan I agree. It's just rare to see someone his size with that type of mobility and shooting. He'll be a beast.
he seems like hes got the drive i like him
That's why teachers beat the saying "Don't judge a book by its cover" to kids. Maybe you missed that lesson?...
Because some player is from Europe and americans don't watch top leagues from there it doesn't mean player is not ready. If player plays in Spanish or Turkish league he's prepared 10 times more than any dude who played in college because he played against real competition
Now he's got a chip with their biggest rivals...
It's actually good to be criticised by Stephen he always gets his predictions wrong. They should kick his ass off the air lmao. If I was a NBA rookie I would legit send him flowers and a champagne bottle if he says I suck.
0:46 "Poorzinjizz" man Stephen does this deliberately just for the disrespect, he hates this European Rookies so much 😂
Never judge a book by its cover
A year later, me and porzingus go way back.. I've known him like a brother...
makes me laugh that Stephen A tends to forget that the internet has been around as long as he’s been on tv. the fact that he goes up on tv nowadays and tries to hate on people for trash talking players and disrespecting them is comical. and even funnier that he acts like he’s NEVER done it when numerous athletes have called him on his bullshit for years. never have and never will like this dude idc how entertaining people find him
"too tall for basketball" that has got to be the most stupidest thing ive ever heard
Shawn Bradley was a decent player. He didn't pan out to be the superstar but I think a lot of that had to do with the team philosophy.
porzingis is already better than shawn bradley.
Bold Fortune Definitely but I'm just saying he wasn't as horrible as people make it seem.
Who's here after he won the finals😂
This is crazy haha. When me n my friend played 2k16 all day we had porzingus on our team and he was our favorite player. The dudes overall was whatever I think it was mid 70's but he was just a beast. He made 3s got rebounds and was a good shooter. And now he's like a huge star for the knicks...it's like 2k knew this guy was Guna b big
"He's 7'3 and can move. he better do something." - SAS
That still cracks me up !
Whos here after the trade
Thanks to SAS I pronounce KP like this "Porzinjizz"
Congrats to the Celtics for landing Tingus Pingus!
Everyone: Kristaps Porzingis
Stephen A. Smith: Kristaps Porzin-jizz
"He might be rookie of the year"
"I don't think that's saying much"
Big Kat..
Stephen A does not know basketball lol
Nowadays he’s entering his prime and can be potentially a top 5 center in the league
@@ethanuy2261 coming off another knee surgery tho
Why was Steven A Smith criticizing him so hard when he hasn't watched him play in Europe? WTF is he talking about?
future hall of famer
+Yoni123 relax
+Yoni123 Not yet
+Vince Medina I said future... Obviously
Well if he keeps improving I think he might be a hall of famer. The things he does in his rookie season is crazy
+joe obvious he might? or he will? he can't might will be
I love how Skip says "he may be rookie of the year" and then stephen a. says "but that's not saying much" ...... like what? that's the best award you can get for what pick the Knicks should have gone with. do you want him to be mvp his first year too?
Man I love it when a player preforms greatly against hate like that!
Porzingis has continued to impress me and i hope to see more next year
Stephen A should be ashamed of himself. How could He said what He said about this kid ! He ripped him of without even know is skills. Thats prejudice...
Cheers from Portugal
But the Knicks said that he was a proyect...
I love tingus pingus
"Porzinjis" - Stephen a smith. LOL😂😂
"let me very clear, I have no idea what I'm talking about"- stephen A
Updated statement on kristaps porzingis from Stephen a smith... "I am sorry I doubted KP....i I ran my mouth off because he was white and I assumed he couldn't play ball, boy do I look stupid...effective immediately I am resigning from any profession that will allow me to discuss sports because I know absolutely nothing"
Stephen A never knew anything about Porzingis. The guy is a big name guy, all he cares about. Hate his attitude.
Whose here after Porzingod just got traded?
Same thing when a guy by the name of Bird was drafted. All the "experts" were freaking out.
Best thing that came out of Knicks this season! Absolutely amazing
That’s so funny how SAS was so wrong 😂😂
This video just shows how NY Nicks fans do not deserve nice things...
Maybe he shouldn’t form opinions without ever watching a guy play basketball before
Criticism>Doubts>Admiration, a must have path for great player!
I'm keeping a copy of this video, bring it with me to heaven. It's so damn hilarious!
Phil Jackson 13 rings
SAS Zero rings not even a pro career in basketball
Yet he thinks he knows more than the zen master
At this point Porzingis has destroyed his reputation
Stop backtracking SAS & say you are wrong & sorry to the kid.
Yo... Phil Jackson Knows What He's Talking Bout.
I bet you he'd have had a similar reaction had the Knicks drafted Kaminsky...if you know what I mean.
Steven A. be like *_"Phil Jackson may might know a thing or two about this game we call basketball after all."_*
The fact that Stephen A is still working as a sports journalist says a lot about what sports journalism really is.
Complete and utter bullshit and conjecture is what it is.
Just saying, people underestimated Ivan Drago before he killed Apollo Creed, and Porzee will be the Ivan Drago of the NBA
Ofc i don't think he is on the level of LBJ or Steph but he looks really good
U actually comparing this to fiction?
the next Dirk but more athletic at the moment
+KingArturTheBoxer "I will break the NBA."
+Isaiah Davila when dirk came to the league he was way more Athletic than him go look at his highlights from 99
He is a racist his complaints and critiques are 90% against non blacks, Jeremy Lin, Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Tebow, Tom Coughlin. And I don't even watch his shows I mainly follow NY teams and I am black hispanic, but this dude is slightly unfair and prejudice.
In short the knicks don't deserve KP
Smith = "I'm loud therefore it's true"
Skip = "I'm going to pick a stance no one else is taking, even if it makes no sense"
1st Take in a Nut Shell
I’ll never understand why people judge or put others down before even getting to know them or their game
I will NEVER understood why Stephen A. is on television. holy sh#t I HATE ESPN so much. It’s like Fox News but sports.
@@bigda6407well now he's a 3rd option on the Celtics so we'll see how he does this upcoming season
@@al_alemania good fit for him though I think he’s gonna get abused by embiid but Tatum and brown will carry the team and both are clearly better
Exactly, he's a very good 3rd option @ best, which is not what the Knicks or the Mavs wanted out of him.
OMG he must feel so ashamed for his comments abou KP!
+Animal Fix he still thinks of him as having potential
but he probably isn´t ashamed at all. I mean, that dude just hated on porzingis without ever having watched him play. it doesnt get any more biased than that, besides that SAS is often plainly wrong, says dumb stuff and later when it turns out to be wrong flat out lies about is (e.g. calling curry the best player in the world last year on multiple occasions, and after the finals flat out lying about that)
Omggggg lmao pause at 2:32 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
