Reflecting back on 2019 and all your video's, thank you for sharing your 'job' and flying experience with us. Great advice to the up and coming potential pilots too!! We need more industries to do the same for the young generation. I also know the time you put into editing, mounting cameras, insuring customer privacy, is monumental and much, appreciated! I even get to see some old stomping grounds around St Louis, (was stationed out of JB Air Nat Guard a long time ago). Sending you well wishes and hope to you and family for a prosperous 2020 and beyond! Again, your time and effort is noted!
Thanks for taking us on the day trip in the Caravan it had been a little while since we had a trip in it I always flying in the Caravan its a nice plane.
This was an especially good captmoonbeam video. Terrific editing and captions. The editing work really was great. Well worth watching more than once. Thanks!
Nice job Jim. A good thing to watch after a rough day with severe smoke from the fires. Now in the middle of a monumental electrical storm. Agh Australia.....
Its a pretty heavy workload for a single pilot ifr into the Chicago class bravo. Last month I flew our clubs cardinal into Schamburg 06C under the class B with flight following. via the VFR flyway. Got to follow the Lake Michigan shoreline and fly over navy pier. It was a very memorable trip! but had tons of traffic.
Recent subscriber here, your videos are always great. You seem so personable, I think you’d be fun to fly with. It’s refreshing to see a pilot who isn’t full of piss and vinegar. I’m almost done with my CFI, just another pawn headed to the airlines.
Holy Holeshot I’ve considered it. My dad is an airline pilot, and he retires in 7 years. The goal is to make it to his company and fly his retirement flight with him, and after that, I’ll probably go elsewhere. My wife wants to live in Germany again, and FedEx has a Cologne base with a 5 year work visa. Only problem with that is after 5 years, I’d have to come back to the states for a year.
I agree i missed it also thanks for taking us with you I like how you show different systems and switches and scan the panels but where is the ground speed I saw the air speed true air speed and head head winds component but couldnt find the groundspeed Regards Steve B
Hello Captain, I believe this is the first time i've seen a prop in front of you!...and how many aircraft are you checked out in, must be nice!.. thanks for sharing!
I was beginning to wonder if you flew the Caravan any more! BTW, does your company have a dispatcher or do the pilots do their own dispatching/flight planning?
Frequently their whole career is spent at one facility and if they work at an enroute center they usually stay in a single sector. It works better that way because new airspace is so hard to learn. The things that change are the shifts and the traffic.
"This is boring" says the Captain. But waiting wouldn't be boring if you had some knitting or needlepoint to work on while you're waiting. Or a sketch pad. Personally, I'd take a pad and fill it with nonsense mathematics formula (which I don't understand) and leave it on the chair or table. It just might confound whoever found it.
Great to see the C208, again.
it's always fun.

That approach controller makes me sleepy! He's a cool cat!!
Thanks Cap, good to see the Caravan
Awesome video, like the part were you flew over my home airport (ARR). I can see my house..
You earned your pay today Captain.
Thanks for taking us on the day trip in the Caravan it had been a little while since we had a trip in it I always flying in the Caravan its a nice plane.
Wow! The ATC really do earn their paychecks! Very busy during your flight but tons of fun as well!

Great piloting, dig the Caravan.
Nice job Jim. A good thing to watch after a rough day with severe smoke from the fires. Now in the middle of a monumental electrical storm. Agh Australia.....
Hi Robert. It looks like mother nature is throwing the whole deck at you guys. Stay safe brother.
Love your videos, love Caravan, thank you regards from Argentina.

Miss the Caravan!!!!
Thanks for the tour around the cockpit Jim and echo previous comments as I love the Caravan!
I like the Caravan and can't wait for the new design. Thanks for this video.
Great single pilot flying in lots of traffic. 🛬😁
Ahh, good to see the Family Truckster once again. Another great flight. Thanks for letting us tag along.

Sweet plane.

Love the Caravan - good to see it.
it's one of my favorites to fly
Really enjoyed it a big difference from a jet
Love your videos. I think you flew over my house. We are on the ILS for runway 10 at Dupage. Take Care Thanks
Love the visibility out the cockpit glass there on the 208. Like a solarium compared to the jet! Great for filming.
Thanks for sharing, Jim! 👍🍻
Really enjoyable to watch, and you looked as if you enjoyed it too.
Love the C208! Looking forward to more videos!
Interesting. When they merge ATC frequencies down here in Oz you can hear the other aircraft. Nice flight thanks for the vids enjoy them immensely.
Great vid Captain.
Great Flight
I'm really liking the great camera angles. Nice video.
3:04 Thank you for this explanation. Thought my radio was on a wrong setting all this time!!
Great flight. Surprised as to the number of airports with paved runways and towers in the United States.
Great video! I learned how to fly at DPA. Great place to learn with all the traffic in the area.

I’m so sorry hear this. Head over to Fedex you wont regret it. None of the airline bs.

Welcome Jim to my neck of the woods. I always enjoy your videos.

Very clear audio.
Thank you ! Great video!
Thanks for watching Donald.
My favorite pilot, good to see u again buddy!!
Busy ATC, and you land the plane! Well.
Great to see you doing a single pilot trip in the C208. Is the C208 have retractable gear?
Love the C208! Glad you went to KDPA....just 20nm south of me at 3ck. Cheap gas at 3ck if you're in the area again!
awesome video! I really wanna become a pilot and i love right by dupage airport! awesome video
Hello Captain, I believe this is the first time i've seen a prop in front of you!...and how many aircraft are you checked out in, must be nice!.. thanks for sharing!
Really enjoying having my morning coffee in my Fly Safe - Captmoonbeam cup I got as a Christmas Gift!
Adam that's great. That's how I have my coffee this😀👍👍 morning.
I would love to fly the Caravan, always liked it. Ive flown Cap 10, Fournier, Slingsby and PA28 - hopefully Caravan soon one day :)
That is a great looking plane! Good vision out of the cockpit
First time seeing my home airport (DPA) on a YT channel!
Cool little plane! Must be a strange feeling after flying the citations for a while.
It was a little odd at first but that goes away fast.
Long time since seeing you in a Caravan again!
Great video Jim - sure was busy!
I need to make some more Caravan videos.
You is My favorite Pilot only number 1.more video about Kodiak-airplane.Please.Greetings !!1
Thanks. I'll be uploading more.
@@captmoonbeam OK. and Good-Luck.Capt.moonbeam.
Capt - Happy New Year.... 480p is max resolution on the video.... Other than the quality of the pixels, loved the content!
Hi Robert I've just seen this. I have no idea why its 480. Have been running all day and now on the airlines and just landed in atlanta
captmoonbeam safe travels home my friend!! It may not have been fully processed by YT yet.
Hey captain been awhile i posted a few videos a month ago. My friend just brought a rockwall commander and hopefully we will be back in the air soon
Did the company you work for get rid of the 182 and King Air? Enjoyed the video
The cathedral fbo
Hi Captain. Is a single engine plane capable of reversing thrust? Or do you just use flaps and brakes to slow it down? I always enjoy your videos.
Hi Captain Moonbeam. How many hours total do you have in your logbook?
I kinda like having a bit of a busy frequency for flight following versus no chatter. Gets lonely.
What is the little red inset in the left screen?
I love the Caravan, Captain. Does that particular Caravan have a bathroom/WC on board?
Is Brickyard a commercial airline? I hear that on ATC vids quite often.
Vaughn Blue Jr , it’s a regional airline but I can’t remember which one it is off the top of my head :(
Herman Wan It’s Republic.
@@paulluck9225 Thanks!
Just to think I drove past sprit a few days ago it looked pretty dead
mate you greased the landing, you look more chilled out in the caravan. suits you but guess you like the citation more.
I was beginning to wonder if you flew the Caravan any more! BTW, does your company have a dispatcher or do the pilots do their own dispatching/flight planning?
I live right by DuPage.. I'd have bought you a quick lunch had I known you were going to be here.. Next time.
Thanks Arnesto. I wasn't there long at all.
So you fly the Van too! Does Cessna make anything that you have not flown?
👍
I forgot you flew anything with a propeller. Lol
How much time does an air traffic control officer do at each stint? It must be an extremely stressful job.
Frequently their whole career is spent at one facility and if they work at an enroute center they usually stay in a single sector. It works better that way because new airspace is so hard to learn. The things that change are the shifts and the traffic.
Why is the quality so low? Only 480?
Could you please explain if this sir is your company, or do you work for a company?
Not my company. I just work for them.
What's cruise speed on this thing?
Hi skipper!
Hi Hector.
Not re-transmitting the other traffic is a potential chaotic problem if he gets busy.
Thanks captmoonbeam, what happened to the video quality
I think I accidentally rendered it in the lower resolution.
480p video quality??? It’s 2020...
Unfortunately I didn't catch the error in rendering till too late.
smaller "UPSDWN,, birthday cake; " ; "you can quote me on that."..
480p?
👋🏻KSRQ☀️🌴🇺🇸🛩
Didn't see any traffic on video, I think so you also didn't in real life.
I think with everything I spotted it once it was passing.

Weeee...First!
😀👍
A poor resolution this time. Why that?
I'm glad some people like to do this type of job, but it looks and sounds boringggggg 😴😴😴😴😴😴
