- Flying the Cessna 208 Caravan single pilot IFR to Chicago Rockford International Airport and then back to the Spirit of Saint Louis airport. During the flight I work around some rain showers and after landing turn around and fly back to St Louis. The video includes the ATC radio communications and the pilot cockpit view of the takeoff and landings.

Emery... I've been there before too! I used to work at RFD across the field from Emery. Fun seeing some of the recognizable landmarks, like the nuke plant, along the way. Great vid as always!

Flying in the rain can be the best as long as it not a thunderstorm. In my last TH-cam video I took my mom up and it was sprinkling. The air was very smooth.
I'm in total agreement. It's fun flying in light rain showers: terrifying in thunderstorms..

I've picked up the downwind for ORD at RFD many a time.
Now that i am retired time for flight school i want to buy a Caravan my friend owns one i fly with him a lot .
Would like to see more technical video content, ie, startup procedure, IFR departure/destination setup on your G-1000, listening to ATIS, and IFR clearance, description of how IFR flight Wx is dealt with on the fly, etc. Beautifully photographed flight.

Love the Caravan videos. Very educational. How is flying the Caravan for new pilot owners? I am not a big fan of piston engines because of avgas prices overseas and it becoming hard to find in certain countries. I will fly a twin piston if I have to (like a Navajo) trying to compare a twin piston Navajo versus a Cessna Caravan. Maybe you can share some operating knowledge for me please. Thanks! Hi Greg. I've never had a problem with it but, everything I fly uses Jet-A mixed with Prist.
@@captmoonbeamas a cargo pilot in a winter I've had that problem up north in Alaska and you have to drop down on altitude and switch fuel back and forth for hot fuel from one side to the other

Back to West End/West Palm Beach video in the last month or two - I can't seem to find it anymore? Finally getting around to the return trip to KSUS (FSX) and wanted to view the video again.
The S550 had the same style deice system, what a pain in the neck. Big maintenance cost.
I have been a little behind I love the Caravan do you enjoy flying it more than the Citation? It seems to me more relaxing.
