Probably 4 months of the year where I use mine, rather than put the climate control to heat the cabin. It’s vastly more efficient to use heated seats (and steering wheel), and personally, it warms my core up much more quickly, so I’ve come to prefer it. Even in my wife’s diesel, we start with the seats on, because the heat is so quick. Once the engine is warm however, there’s so much wasted heat, that the temp on the climate control will get turned up and the seats go off. Edit: what’s annoying, after watching the whole thing, is that to get heated seats and steering wheel, you have to spec the higher and highest spec car. Heated seats should be one thing you can choose to have or not have.
Not everyone needs lots of seats for kids, some grown-ups have friends too, or maybe just lots of stuff to haul around. You didn't need to reference Nicky and her kids in every other sentence, was a bit off putting
But is this car good for 3 small children? They need car seats and with car seats in, you can't fold the middle row. So either you put all three in the middle row (and then you don't need the 3rd row at all), or you put two in back, one in the middle - which is awkward and the boot is now small. No ICE is not really ending, EV sales in Western Europe dropped and EV market share is only like 5%, it will take a long time before ICE is gone, people want just have the same range and easy to fill and go experience. Not that many, but little kids do activities with lots of other little kids. I’ve often wanted more seats to transport family and friends. Sometimes I hire a 7 seater because it is more convenient to travel together than try and go longer distances in multiple cars.
It's not expected to be used as a 7 seater daily. It's a primary 5 seater with a big boot (and you need a big boot even with two kids), that can be converted to 7 seater occasionally as a bonus (and this is very practical to be able to do that from time to time: to also transfer grandparents of kids, or their few friends etc)
Er, lol. We bought a leaf as 2nd car and it ended up being used all the time as so cheap to run. Now all electric. More convenient and vastly cheaper in the medium term. Not just on fuel either.
@dzonikg well u don't need to now. We moved on from the leaf and have 2 cars with 250 mile range each. Most journeys are just a few miles each so home charging for 1.5p to 2.5p per mile is brilliant. A couple of times a yr we have to charge away from home. Only then is an ev slightly more inconvenient than an ice.

No ICE is not really ending, EV sales in Western Europe dropped and EV market share is only like 5%, it will take a long time before ICE is gone, people want just have the same range and easy to fill and go experience. Also to get enough charging station is also hard, here in the Netherlands the electric grid is on its max and they are thinking to restrict charging cars on evening between 17:00 - 20:00
@eRedBlue- just takes a few folk to spread the truth to counter fud. Evs are MORE convenient than ice unless you do several hundred miles daily.
@@eRedBlue- it's a technology change not a reinvention of the wheel. And technology changes are always far quicker than expected. So the majority of new car sales will be EV by 2028. If not all new sales then high 90%. There is a standard adoption curve for new technology and EVs won't be any different.
@@Samprojects 2028 for all or virtually all new sales as being EVs. Still plenty of used ICE cars on the road at that point. It's a transition not a cut off. The infrastructure is almost at the point that it is good enough already. There are just the motorway services that need a kick but I suspect that will be sorted quicker than you think.
In any case, that type of charger is less important apart from 5/6 days in the year over AC chargers at stations/workplaces/ on street and they are being installed at a decent pace.
Nice❤❤
How do get to your charging cable when your boot is full of bikes, bags and holiday luggage?? Put the cable in the non-existent froot. These underfloor cable bins are bullshit.
In reality you hardly ever use the AC cable anyway. If you are on a long journey you would use the DC charging. Basically you carry the AC cable for emergency reasons. Or maybe if you are charging at a destination point (e.g. hotel) on a 7kW AC charger
could have done this video in a brighter setup...
Is it just me or the new icockpit make me feel disappointed, like I dont like it at all to be honest, it feel souless compare the current 5008
I generally watch Fully Charged, the OG, but this came across my feed. Not liking her "humor" of taking a stab at people who have a few more kids.
You already know from the price of the E-208 that this machine (as beautiful as it is) is going to be ridiculously overpriced.
I have children, lots of children but I don't want to go electric. Seriously there are no new MPVs anymore, and most of the 5 seaters are electric and cost 60K and above.
Why not? Electric is far better
@@paulfowler3416 it's not if you live in the Balkans and there are only like 10 chargers in the whole country. Also, no government subsidies for EV because corrupt politicians are making big money importing old diesels from EU.
Nikki getting roasted all video
2.0 Diesel with power around 200 and it would be perfect family car
Just like 65% of the population, we are a 2 person household, and most of the people we know are single or 2.
Still most people seem to think they NEED a car with at least 4 doors and 6 seats . . . . . Preferably over 2.5 metric tons and over 5 meters length.
I wonder why.
Maybe ask those people who are single and still buy Range Rover.
We have two kids. 5008 is ideal for us. Our friends have 3 kids. They had Espace, recently replaced it by ID.Buz
I have a wife and 3 kids. Some of us are actually looking for practicality and versatility!
FYI until our 2nd kid we didn't have a car at all.
Most people (including you and people you know I assume) seem to think they NEED a car being single or 2
I’ll wait for a year when it will be £24000 which is still too much
Is thie an English review as you can easily see it is a bit BS negative just because the car is French.
If this was made in England they would be like wow what a great car, the best car in the world 😄 🤣
Luckily we do not longer see these unreliable english brands onthe road.
Is this the most expensive Peugeot ever ? 😀😀 It’s almost same price as the new Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV, which is significantly bigger and has isofix on the 3-rd row.
it aint a big car. Consider the us options such a cadillac escalade electric. Or the gas options such a chevrolet tahoe or suburban.
Rather this than the deadly dull Audi Q6!
Lots of new car releases but no real in-depth testing as yet. Looking forward to that so you can all be honest about what the cars are really like.
0:10 mais descends de là avec tes grolles!!!
Moral of the story is buy a Kia EV9 if you can afford it
New Santa Fe PHEV way better imo
Just remember how much of a disgrace it has been for Peugeot to cancel and never electrify the 108 while profiting handsomely from these suburbian tanks.
Lol. They are a money making business you know.
The 108 would have had a range even worse than the Honda e, so would not have sold well.
Battery prices need to drop a little more to make them viable. Suvs garner a higher rrp so they can still make some money.
When a women refers to 2 children as "lots of children" you know the society is doomed. And that pegeout only has 2 extra small seats.
Exterior desing is so ugly, the previous one was more impresive
Great to see EU making great EVs. Buying Chinese is not a sound option for European economies. And MG is just a cheap moneymaker for the brand owners, the Chinese Communist Party.
i would love to take Ginny up E5008
The Chinese are coming so cannot make a mistake
Nothing original here, everything sadly copied from Chinese brands who are way ahead of others when it comes to EV's
too damn big, too damn heavy, front designed to kill pedestrians. no physical buttons and only touch screens are a major flaw and frankly a shitty design. utter waste of materials, this could be 2 normal sized cars for normal people. Now lets see how much does it cost to replace the battery...
You are planning to wait over 20 years to see how much it will be to replace a battery in a vehicle that's come to its end of life? That's dedication and pointless but good luck
It has almost the same length as Model 3, and it is shorter than Model Y
How many people actually have 5 children and need a 7 seater?
Plenty. We ended up getting 2 smaller evs as the merc was useless with 7 seats up and kia too expensive. This would have likely done the job.
Not quite enough anti-kid propaganda in there. Honestly, have a presenter who likes kids review a 7 seater, please.
I think its a joke 😅😂
I will buy EV sa main car NEVER.Maybe as 3th car for city and only some cheap Chines EVs when they come ,at most 15 000 euros.
Er, lol. We bought a leaf as 2nd car and it ended up being used all the time as so cheap to run. Now all electric. More convenient and vastly cheaper in the medium term. Not just on fuel either.
@@madonemt Leaf battery degrade fast.My diesel car has 1200 km range, how can i replace with Leaf
@@madonemt Well i travel much more then 2 times a year
@@dzonikg stick with diesel then. I dont mind you paying more tax.
