Most of these people put down like 50k in renting some cars and shooting / spamming the internet with advertisements purely with the plan of ripping off as many people as possible before they get shut down. It started with Tai Lopez and hasn’t stopped since. Stock market gurus, drop shipping store creators, automated ebook publishers, crypto signal pumpers, eBay flippers, the list goes on and on of these scumbags who’s only business plan is to sell enough people that they can make their facade real.
Maybe a few Miami hotels with international marketing are getting 70% utilization, in a good year; this accounts for maintenance, low seasons,... No way a local exotic car company is getting any where near that utilization rate.
You see the difference straight away between a serious businessman and business owners that do it to look cool. Just look at the difference in appearance and behavior. Thank you for telling the truth and show people that things are rarely as easy as they seem 👍💪

I think Rob is being generous here. It's not just a bad idea. It's a scam. It's the equivalent of Tia Lopez selling you a course on how to get rich, when the only money he has ever made came from morons who bought his get rich quick course.
It's not automatically a bad idea, it's just most of these 'passive income' promoters are a bad idea for the reasons given. It's basically what a lot of facility and asset management companies do. They manage stuff, for a fee. It kind of works with things like private jets, charter yachts etc. But like like Rob says, there are potentially huge risks involved. If Rob offered this, I might be tempted. He knows the industry, he knows the risks, he's a smart guy. But if this is such a great idea, why isn't he doing it? He'd get a bigger fleet, he'd get more rentals, and could probably draw up a fair contract with a management fee and costs. But like he said, the problem with these scams is they're unfair, and all the costs and risks are pushed to the sucker who thinks they're going to get free money.
Wait, did you say that you send these clowns the payment every month too? You can be 99.8% sure that after a bad month or two, they will just pocket the payment and not send it to the bank. Then the repo-man shows up to take the car and you're on the hook for it all.

Honestly curious and not hating, how does the rental company get paid on say, 4 months loss of use plus diminished value? Does it all get paid by the customers insurance or does it all fall on the customer?

They aren't really insuring it, they'll never make a claim on their own policy. They will only go through the customers policy. They'll drag you along with a crashed asset the entire time too while you are still incurring overhead.

I would never rent out my vehicle like that because basically you're still assuming all the liability on your insurance Unless somehow it gets transferred to the renters insurance and you better hope he has good insurance and then you've also got to deal with the wear and tear and maintenance that comes along with owning a vehicle like that and plus the mileage that's being put on the vehicle from renting it to me all the way around it just seems like losing money because of the car itself is losing value by having the mileage put on it plus you're having to pay to have the tires and maintenance done on the car this just does not seem smart
Your insurance specifically excludes rental use. So you would have no coverage under your personal policy, the car would need to be covered under a commercial rental policy.
