Thanks for the video. I purchased the Pixel Buds Pro, and I love them. I understand that the price is premium, but for me personally it's worth it. I wear them for 4-5 hours at a time sometimes, and I haven't noticed any discomfort, and they're easy to put in and take out. Robby, you must have funky ears. :) The hand gesture to go from ANC to passthrough with the touch and hold gesture is a game changer when working in the office. The ANC is on when I'm working on something alone, but to change the setting so quickly to passthrough is great when having a conversation. The audio passthrough is exceptional, and far better than any other earbuds I've used in the past. I agree that there are really good options out there, but as a Pixel and Chromebook user in an office setting, and the seamless ability to switch back and forth between those two devices is super helpful. I guess there is a bit of latency when playing a game, but I really don't notice it much. I agree though that the latency issue never should have been problem in the first place. Hopefully it's resolved soon in an upcoming update. Thanks again for this review and all of your others. PS...any updates on the Ideapad 5i Chromebook (2022) release? Thanks!
People might want to know: The soundcore buds you're using are the best buy exclusive variant I'm pretty sure. Nearly identical pairs called the life P3 are sold everywhere else, which has the benefit of wireless charging.
Yeah I have the P3s and the low latency mode on it is the best for gaming out with SBC of everything I've tried so far. I would like to believe the "Note 3 XRs" are just as good.
Good review, nailing what we need to know. I would definitely like the Pixel Buds to pair with my Pixel 6, but have to admit this gives pause for thought. Thank you.
I've had terrible experiences with the Soundcore Life lineup as compared to the Soundcore Liberty Air lineup. I'd be interested to see how those compare. Edit: though I guess I haven't tried the Pro models of the Liberty Airs to know how their ANC works.
For me, battery life on a single charge is what draws me. It's why I had the 11-hr Samsung Buds Plus before (until the right bud died, and since I also often had issues getting them to reliably charge in their case), and it's why I have the Pixel Buds Pro now. If I can't go a full day at the office (since I'm usually listening to podcasts all day) without having to recharge in the middle of the day, that's an immediate no-go for me when it comes to earbuds.
I am happy to see someone finally compare the Wyze Buds Pro to other earbuds. They have been my daily drivers since they launched. They cut down on so much noise and don't cost that much compared to the Pixel Buds. The one main benefit of the Pixel buds is that they immediately show up on your phone when pairing for the first time. I was surprised, and honestly wish more devices were that easy.
I have had the Pixel buds pro for about 3 weeks. They sound great, but my ears tire of them in about an hour, plus I do have to fumble with them a lot to get the right fit in my ear. I am returning them and will try the Anker ones... thanks for the video!
I strongly disagree with your comments about price to performance. I have purchase endlessly on Amazon for TWS earbuds. Have a drawer full of earbuds ranging from $29 to $300 which I would buy just about every week with fail. I also tried DAC amplifiers to turn wired earbuds into wireless. Nothing and I mean nothing has come close to the Pixel Buds Pro. The Pixel Buds Pro battery life with ANC on way outperform any of the earbuds I purchased in the past. Everyone would last about 4 hours or less with ANC on and that is with charging them all day before going to work for 8 to 9 hours. I would have to bring 3 to 4 earbuds in my backpack just to make it through my work shift. Not anymore with the Pixel Buds Pro. This is all I need to make it through my work night. They easily last 7 to almost 8 hours and with a 30 minute charge they go from 2% to 90% to finish off my shift. As far as comfort. They stay in my ear with all the physical activity I do at work. One night I even forgot they were still in my ears when getting into my car for the drive home. I have TRULY found the earbuds I've been looking for the past few years. I would have paid Sony, Sennheiser, or any high end price earbuds if they would come close to what the Pixel Buds Pro provide.
One thing to note eartips: Thanks to El Jefe Reviews I found Spin Fit ear tips. They fit, seal, and grip well so you avoid going a size larger than you need. $13 on Amazon for 2 pair. I use them on $20 Soundpeats buds and got another set when my Pixel Buds A arrived with my new 6a. For me with these tips the Pixel Buds A are really easy wear for an extended time.
How different are they compared to stock tips? Like comfort, seal etc. I'm considering getting some for my Pixel Buds Pro but don't wanna pull the trigger yet if it's not much different from stock tips.
I have yet to find a pair of earbuds that will stay in my ear. I've tried several earbuds with hooks, but I have not been happy with the sound quality or the functionality.
I've yet to find really good ANC ear buds so I decided to not roll the dice on $200 Pixel Buds and still being underwhelmed. Over the ear headphones still provide superior sound and far better noise cancelling.
@@WatsitTooyah I found out foam replacement eartips REALLY do make the difference in helping out with noise cancelling. I purchased a set of those and didn't need to replace my current earbuds because they work that good.
@@ajwalker4416 which buds are you using? Comply eartips make my PBP ANC work great. You really need a secure fit and I need to adjust them when mowing the lawn. Fit aside, not much of a difference in ANC compared to Bose 700. Especially with music playing.
I have had the original Pixel Buds that I like. I purchased the Pixel Buds Pro. I could not get a good fit, no matter which tips I had in. Could not run without them coming loose. Sent them back.
I'd like to know how these compare to the Liberty 3 Pro (now $100 on discount instead of $170). On the other hand my ears are not angled like the average person so the lack of customizability in fit on the Pixel Buds Pro is a dealbreaker for me.
Good evening I would like to know, the automatic switch of the Pixel Buds Pro linked to the Google account, will it remain a Google exclusive, or will it be available for all earbuds with Google fast pairs? 🙏🏽
I've never been a fan of ear buds... Every brand at every price point I've ever tried end up causing me ear discomfort within an hour (or 2, are most)... I'm a big fan of bone conducting earphones for their long hours of comfort and battery charge... And, at lower volumes, don't require a transparency mode to be able to interact with the world around me
I can't imagine paying $200 for any earbuds. The competition is so fierce that you can get a superior or sometimes better experience with much cheaper buds. The one thing I would have liked to see tested here is voice quality for phone calls.
I had every Earbuds there is, and people complain that I'm on speaker, can you advise me which is the best for talk only, so people don't say I'm on speaker. I don't care about price.
They're both the same quality to be honest. Apple just has spatial audio but I hear that's coming to the pixel buds in a future update. The pixel buds don't have that stupid stem like the Air Pods.
I've tried a few different brands of true wireless earbuds, and didn't like any of them, for various reasons, I'd rather have a neckband like the Sony WI-C100(I do, and for $30 they ary main go-to Bluetooth buds), a decent pair of wired or wireless cans, or just a good ol'pair of wired earbuds that are cheap and cheerful like the JVC Gummies Plus I can knock around without worrying about them, and with with memory foam tips on all my buds.
With the options like QCY T13 for wireless and CCA CRA, Moondrop Chu, 7Hz Zero etc for wired available, all these overpriced ancient corporate faceless "brands" like Sony or JVC don't cut it anymore They just package and mass stamp the lowest grade crap with an enormous markup and it's just not competitive on sound at all Sony only makes sense when you're paying hundreds of dollars
Like the other guy said, you can only have two devices connected at a time. But the actual switch is insanely seamless. I switch all the time between my Pixel 6 and my Chromecast and it's wonderful. Just pause on one device and resume on another
Same, my Sony WI-C100 neckband buds were all of $30 and get well over the 30 hours of advertised usage before needing a charge and if I need to talk to someone, I can pause, and drop them around my neck without fumbling with touch controls, or looking for the charging case.

I loved my Samsung Buds +. I started to have charging issues as well but managed to fix it after some trial and error.
I want Samsung to do an updated version of buds plus with wireless, ANC, and spatial audio.

You're supposed to rotate the pixel buds for them to get a good seal in your ear canal.

Listening on the Buds Pro, and I find them superior to my Samsung Buds and Sony Linkbuds, both sound-wise and ANC.
I have yet to find a pair of earbuds that will stay in my ear. I've tried several earbuds with hooks, but I have not been happy with the sound quality or the functionality.
Love my pixel buds pro but they don't love my right ear. They just keep falling out which is why I loved the A as they had bits that held in my ear
For the price, the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro should've been the Anker product to face off with the Google offering.

Get the expensive Sony truffles I've heard the ANC is in a class of its own.
