@@Ih8koneI prefer to think that she goes into a darkened dining room with the skeletons of what used to be her family, like Norman Bates in Psycho. She places all of her new dishes on the ever-growing pile of now rotting food in front of them. “Guess what I made, kids?” she exclaims. “Cinnamon rolls!”
Is it weird that the grill marks doesn’t match the direction of the ridges when the burgers are flipped? I’m willing to overlook this due to the fact that I love these infomercials
In some other infomercials, both Joe and Cathy have complained about clutter, yet if they kept all the items they've sold over the years in their houses, they'd hardly be able to move.
"Despite a good demonstration, this $79 non-electric product was introduced into a world full of $19.95 George Foreman electric grills. The results were not surprising."
Whoever composed the music is talented as hell. It's layered and varied. I would love to know who did the music. I assume it's one company or studio who does most of the music for all different kinds of infomercials. L
Cathy is the Roger (American Dad) of the infomercial world. A new cooking device and you see a different speaker who's like "I know an expert and they will show you all about this product!" and it's Cathy
My dad liked watching Cathy, calling her "Pinky" cause of the way she curled up her pinky finger when she held or lifted things a certain way lol. She's a great presenter.
@@UncleDavesKitchen only if there's no water in there like you're supposed to have, although I doubt it would take very long for that small reservoir to boil off.
Hard to see how well the heat transfer is without directly contacting the electric burner and for sure you can’t use it with gas. A gas range just does not exist in Cathy‘s world.
Got me one thru Ebay....... it works Great. I guess all the George Foreman craze at the time just knocked it off the sales rack. Thanks for the tip tho... 👍
What a stupid gimmick the lava rock is, they heavily advertise their super amazing 'flavor reservoir' what do you need the stupid rock for? Just pour the liquid in there.
I highly doubt this actually works. The grill is like an inch above the hotplate, and air isn't good enough a conductor to make that grill heat up quickly or well enough
129F doesn't even make sense, that's not even as hot as a slow cooker on the warm setting, wouldn't brown anything, wouldn't even make food safe to eat never mind cooked. I'm not sure what method they used to measure this but it's obviously completely bogus, the electric grill would be coming up to at least 350f.
Praise God for another Cathy Mitchel informercial
queen hasnt aged in 30 years
I love the fact that Cathy's ""kids"" must be close to retirement and she keeps referencing them as if they were 5 yrs old
I believe she has 5 kids actually!
Grandbabies too!
They’re so old they can no longer feed themselves, hence your old girl Cathy.
She might be referring to her grandkids.

The grill marks are always hilarious in these. They didn't even try to orientate them lol

IKR!?
Those burger buns went from ok to pruning and back to fresh as a button by the time the burgers grew a new set of grill marks 😂😂😂
It’s the Lava Rocks for me.
damn I thought I sensed some bad vibes between Cathy and Chef Randall in the Turbo Cooker Plus infomercial. Glad to see the sexual tension is back ❤
I'm loving the vintage full length infomercials. If you ever find the one with Florence Henderson please post!
I know that one. It was the expressware infusion cooking system
i always like that these infomercials felt the need to include the first AND last names of the customer testimonials
And let's be real... these last names are FUCKING RIDICULOUS!
8:30 I love how he is choking on the dry ass burger he ate af6er they were saying it's full moist and juicy haha
Chef Randall holds the record for the longest time not blinking.
18 years!
"Despite a good demonstration, this $79 non-electric product was introduced into a world full of $19.95 George Foreman electric grills. The results were not surprising."
Woah, I never knew a Turbo product existed like this before. I thought it ended in the Turbo Cooker Plus (at least shown by Cathy and Joe).
Yup, there are the cinnamon rolls!
Joe Fowler and Cathy Mitchell…two hall of famers on one product
This is from 2003??? I never knew about this until right now!!
Better times. They weren't perfect.
The Magic Bullet infomercial came out the same year.
4:15 How is this an "extra burner" if you're using a burner to heat the danged thing?
Chef Randall really made a whole career out of using steam.
Yup. In fact, a more fitting name for his invention should be the Aqua Grill for how it relies on steam
@@saulthechicanootaku Perfect name for it.
Compare the set this is filmed at vs Nuwave Oven 2002 Infomercial he posted same set.
I want one of those soaked lava rocks! My spice cabinet will now be complete!
100% you wouldn't want to use anything but an electric stove with that fat reservoir lmao
eh, a little grease fire never hurt anybody

No flavour transfer in the TurboCooker, but there is with the flavour channel in this pan?
This pretty much a plot hole for the Turbo Cooker. The grill uses the same technology but this time the flavors actually mix!
THATS WHAT IM SAYIN!!
5:17 Cathy's pet peeve - having to eating sh*t 🙂
Cathy is the Roger (American Dad) of the infomercial world. A new cooking device and you see a different speaker who's like "I know an expert and they will show you all about this product!" and it's Cathy
I too would have made Joe stand outside.

that tiny fat-filled reservoir must be an absolute pain to clean
and it's right next to the heat, smoke alarms have to be going off.
@@UncleDavesKitchen only if there's no water in there like you're supposed to have, although I doubt it would take very long for that small reservoir to boil off.
Omg.. I've never seen this one before! A most favoured day for meeeeeeeeee!
First time I ever seen TURBO COOKER GRILL.
Jaboddy Dubs needs to do this
Literally a hotplate with a dome.
Country style ribs DO NOT cook that fast.
Love Cathy's nails 💅

i pitty the fool who doesn't use the flavorwave!
Putting parallel heat marks on a piece of meat that was cooked on a cooking plate is not what I consider grilling. I'll be talking to my attorneys.
I’m pretty sure that one grill they showcased as bad was the one Joe Fowler also did an infomercial on 😂
0:22 Grill Express 😂
"enhanced steam"
I WANT it and I'm GETT'N it....... I just have to find me a time machine.......
Amazon might carry it.
Got me one thru Ebay....... it works Great. I guess all the George Foreman craze at the time just knocked it off the sales rack. Thanks for the tip tho... 👍
I know they didn't just dis the George Foreman Grill lol 12:05
The fat/oil reservoir looks incredibly dangerous. A little slip would cause a grease fire.
Ah yes, my handy dandy lava rock
I love putting a little soy sauce for a steak! 😊
I need that bbq belt
Is From 2003.
Looks like it won't work on an induction hob due to the hollow base.
Did they not have a grill pans back when this thing was made???
They weren't invented until 2005, sadly 😂
The guy in the thumbnail looks like James Holzhauer.
Spills alcohol on the burner. House burns to the ground and the only thing that survives is the turbo grill 😂
who is the announcer
It's the Handy Chef guy
What a stupid gimmick the lava rock is, they heavily advertise their super amazing 'flavor reservoir' what do you need the stupid rock for? Just pour the liquid in there.
The video quality looks too good for 2003 standards.
Oil drain to the reservoir and infuse your foods with oily favor lol
They were always so good at selling these products but we all know they were completely full of shit 😂
I highly doubt this actually works. The grill is like an inch above the hotplate, and air isn't good enough a conductor to make that grill heat up quickly or well enough
Which they did a turbo grill plus
19:59 *fustrated*
there back
129.9 to 385.2, just say it’s almost 3 times hotter. Sheesh.
