I was so obsessed with TV shopping channels as a kid as they're my go-to while waiting for cartoons, anime and sitcoms to air for the night. My aunt bought this and I was so desperate to borrow and sadly I never had the chance up until the time they started cleaning their place up before they moved interregion during the pandemic. The remastering is glorious. Just like when I fist watched it on TV. Thank you so much for the memories. 😍
i used to watch this infomercial and yep it never gets old but wowser that clip was remastered and the sound quality was amazing AF 😍😍😍😍😍. Joe Fowler and Maddy Press was absolutely in there and my god this video was simply nostalgic also it was a throwback to the 1990s and even the 2000s. Anyways i actually remembered this infomercial for the first time and it was old school but remastered even the video and audio quality as usual 🥰.
Back when the times cartoons are few to watch and I'm just like at 10 years old in front of tv enjoy watching this🤣😂😂😂 as a kid I'm so amaze how the product made it like magic and I'm just want to pick the phone up dial and order 😂😂 (,we dont have phone)
Childhood self: I love the food My current self: AHH...I understand how this thing works and the way they say. I still love food though. Best ASMR before TH-cam
Do still have the same reaction (amazed). The only difference is that I know exactly what they were talking about now. What a childhood moment to reminisce. Indeed, time flies so fast.

sneaky! At the start he claims he won't have to EVER TOUCH the egg shell. But then when he's actually demonstrating later he says he won't have to PEEL the egg shell. They literally gas lit the audience.
Thank you for sharing this with us! :05 - RIP Gallagher. Another comic legend gone too soon. 3:50 - I like every part of the celery. You end up throwing out three quarters of the celery that way. What a waste. (The stringy parts are called xylem BTW.) 8:00 - Never fond of snow cones. Just some powdered ice with a slick of super sugary syrup on top. 14:20 - That's the laziest way to prep eggs. We all know tiny bits of shell will go though and will result in a gritty texture. Anyone else see a blue-greenish tinge to that dyed egg he riced? I would never eat egg salad made that way as that would destroy my throat. (Now I see why getting your throat blessed is so popular now.) Sometimes you have to put in some elbow grease and do it the long way for it to be done right. Ricing the egg after peeling it would work though. One more thing, lay off the caffeine Joe.
Hey guys, wanna ask if you still remember that infomercial where they did that pineapple upside down cake? I was really looking for it 😂😂😂 I remembered the guy who did the cake was a chef from Sydney, Australia. It was part of me and my partner's childhood 😅
Joe still has to cut the green peppers in half because they won’t fit the machine,so i suspect you’ll have to cut a lot of items to even get to the shredding/slicing/dicing stage!
I wonder if Handy Chef is still available today. I watched this infomercial during the late 90s until the early 2000s, back when I was still in high school here in the Philippines; if I am not mistaken, the prices were shown in Philippine pesos. Whoa, I can still hear the words of Maddy Press and Joe Fowler in my head even after more than 20 years. It brings back all the TV nostalgia and memories!!😄🇵🇭🎥😅🥐🍆🥦
yeah, me too. this is one of the few things I couldn't get back when I was a kid, but now that I have a job, I wanted one but unfortunately the alternatives these days are quite meh compared to the Handy Chef XD
@@ikarimuhino1620 yeah, feel the same way. wanna buy this but no longer exist. I was able to look at some post and was somehow used 1 or 2x but when I check it was already sold.
So the only real difference to a food processor is the lack of a motor, certainly not really less to clean up other than the bowl, and you'll need a bowl with this anyway. Also I must have imagined the speed control on our food processor, quite slow to quite fast, plus you can pulse it if necessary. I do love watching shopping channels and infomercials, though I did not have access to any as a kid, mainly to see the sheer amount of BS they put out.
Back when the days when mom and dad are young and works so hard while I stay in the house doing nothing but watch this.
Same here in the Philippines.
The time before Lazada,Shopee, SHEIN, Tiktokshop and ZALORA was launch

So, did you get it?
@@angelicagarcia6415 Sadly, I never did. Asked my aunt about it and she doesn't remember it anymore.
This kept me so entertained while waiting for my childhood Cartoons and Sentai shows way back in the 90s.
Thoses days before online selling. watching from philippines 🇵🇭
Top tier childhood memories right there.
I searched for this. Its living in my head rent free lol

@@thegameshowcreditschannel7632 thanks. I always remembered this infomercial when i was younger! 😭
23 years later... I can buy this now.
Yes it's a called a chef's knife.
At a thrift store. A powerless food processor.
13:47 Joe went super sonic for a second.
Used to watch it when I was a kid. Im 29 now and it took this long for them to convince me to buy one.
2:18 ... Man he took that question personally. "Go ask THEM."
IN THA FOOD CHAMBER... NEVER GETS OLD! *CLASSICS!*
The OG (Original) Of All TV - Infomercials "Handy Chef" 📺✨👍😊❤

joe fawler was one hell of a pitchman. it would've been fun to see him and billy mays in a infomercial when billy was alive.
IKR. BTW JF is a former WWF announcer in case you didn't know.
It would have been more fun to see Billy Mays when he was dead. 😀

Reminds me of the Ronco device that was sold with 30 second commercials years before they allowed infomercials which started in the 1980’s.

Pretty sure you're talking about the Fat-Free Express pan. Sadly, the infomercial isn't available on the internet. Been looking for it for years now.

OMG this is very nostalgic, gof knows how many times Ive watched this.
Joe Fowler actually mentioned the Spanish word "jícama". In the Philippines it is known in Tagalog as "singkamas".😊
I remember watching this!!
I enjoy my Juice Loosener from Dr. Nick Riviera
Those "strings" are excellent for your body... digestive system to be specific/
I love how 1/4 of the food misses the bowl. Great product lmfao

Cole slaw for one coming up!

I still cant seem to figure out how that appliance separates the potato skin and the egg shell. its sick!
Because the skin and the shell is not small enough to pass trough the mesh
