sir why we credited the discount allowed account despite of he is receiving the discount.. i know discount allowed is an expense it should be debited in journal entries bt why we credited in personal account and interest received also..

One a/c debited means another a/c has to be credited so discount allowed a /c debited than person a/c credited.
