I didn’t think it could get worse. I was wrong! There is no coming back from how bad this show is. Hope everyone is well. There will be a part 2 to this video just for the glorious “Mods” I’d also like to thank Mike Tyson for getting himself back into the news. Quite the coincidence. And remember, if you enjoyed the video (you don’t have to agree) hit the “Like”. Subscribing and sharing the video is always a big help. And of course the bell. Cheers!
It's sad that Hollywood has become this talentless, unimaginative, woke, political pandering, pile of garbage. We need something new to take hold, like a studio that only allows original ideas, casts people based on talent and not...other things, and can only remake something thats over 50 years old
Wait. That was ACTUAL Bobba Fett footage!?! Wow, hover mobility scooters and leather jackets. I didn’t know Star Wars had turned into a poor imitation of Wild Hogs
Oh boy, someone who hasn't seen the show. Take it from someone who has, it isn't worth it. If you're huge fan of Boba Fett you won't get any "Boba Fett" here.
@@Imperialstorm03 I appreciate you taking one for the team. I also just noticed that the scooters have more side view mirrors than the scooter Jeremy Clarkson modifies when the Top Gear boys took motorcycles across Vietnam… the BBC should probably file a lawsuit for copyright infringements.
Yeah Boba Fett was my favorite "caracter" I have a little action figure of him on my key chain and now always when I look at it I just think "Wow holly shit Disney how could you mess this up so much that my favorite caracter is now almost at the bottom of my list" even CW a show that isn't centered around him and shows his life when he was a kid was so much better. If you love Boba you will nothing but embarassed after watching this show. I don't know if watched and liked the Mandalorien show but if you did you just have to know Baby yoda is back and he got a shitty fan service ship that in no way he could transport bounty with. The only things you get out of this show is good and funny content from Robot chicken or other content creators, people saying they love the show and when you argue against them they critique your writing maybe you forgo the t or maybe write a verb wrong and if you acctuly whatched the show you can make up a story in your in 5 minutes alone with better caracter a better story and better placed jokes if any. In short the show is terrible
The cyborgs were so cringe. Why would the one guy cut off his hand so he could install a weak torch in it? Why wouldn't he just hold a torch? Or the one guy that cut off his leg to install a homer simpson auto hammer that does nothing. Why not just carry a sledge hammer and do some real damage? So incredibly stupid.
You can imagine the writing room... "So this gang have robotic modifications..." "Hey - Modifications... let's call them Mods" "Great idea... there were British gangs in the 1950s and 60s called Mods... they rode colourful scooters covered in chrome and mirrors" "Oh wow, we could give them colourful hover scooters"! 🤮
I am pretty sure these people are addicted to these modifications, that is not soo bad. Its more like they don't fit in the scene of tatooin, they would have maybe looked good in a city like Corousant.
I love how the “gang”’s scooters look like normal ones only without wheels. Did they forget this was in the Star Wars universe??? And no, having multiple side mirrors doesn’t make it futuristic.
@@lewismx8815 I mean, the "Too close to earth" is usually in the older films, in which they simply didn't have budget to re-imagine everything. Even then they got in things like x-wings. If you look at the Prequels, when they had the budget to basically do as they pleased aesthetically, things did look MASSIVELY different from Earth on a very regular basis.
Jack Pijjin well Star Wars incorporates a lot of retro inspiration and I guarantee that’s what they were thinking. But that doesn’t mean you can just pick random stuff and shove it in there, it’s an aesthetic mistake that someone who doesn’t get Star Wars would make imho. Maybe they’re a casual fan for the past few years or something, some writer bouncing between projects, it’s very easy to see. But if they just got some true Star Wars nerds together they could create magic again so easily, idk why they don’t exclusively use those people. You can’t tell me there aren’t plenty of talented writers who are also fans who would love to work on something like that.

To be fair, we know machine parts are a dime-a-dozen there. Anakin rebuilt an entire droid and the constructed a functional pod-racer with a slave'd budget (ie, nothing), Luke maintained a Sandhopper, etc. This isn't an excuse for them, because they failed to effectively communicate that. It's their worldbuilding, even if it's on top of Lucas', so the fact they never bothered to explain "hey, cyberneticas are cheap as shit" is on them. And that's the problem: They never explain SHIT about the world. Lucas did, and when SW became too large for him, he opened up the EU so others could help. Disney is like "Yeah dude, you just gotta accept this works..."
Building things yourself might be. But without watching this my next question would be how expensive is surgery on tatooine? That's probably the more challenging part than just getting components.
@@trianglemoebius didnt one of the dude say that he payed alot of money for the mods? And anakin worked in a junkyard. He got broken stuff for free and fixed it.
@@richardstrage3682 That one dude paid a lot for his mods, but I believe he bought them as mods. I'm not saying "this is brilliant, it excuses everything :)" I'm saying it could work, if Disney was willing to put in the effort to think it through and maybe throw in some hints to how it works.
@@MrSpartanspud I got the feeling these mods weren't very... well installed. Note how the good ones (for example, Luke's hand) are very in-line with the body, fully mobile so interfaced with nerves, etc. These guys have their stuff sticking out and only semi-functional. It's more like implanting a phone in your skin than getting an augmentation that lets you call people with your mind. That's the last I'm going to say on this, though. Because my original point was "This could work if only Disney would have thought it through a bit. It's not a bad idea, so the fact they couldn't pull it off proves Disney is lazy", and I refuse to put THAT much more thought into things than the creators.
The "moisture" must flow! Why the fuck anyone live on Tatooine? The economy is water? There's whole fucking planets covered in water, and you've got hyperdrives. It's profitable to farm it out of the air vs loading up a tanker and flying it? Bullshit.
That's ridiculous! By that logic, even food isn't a human right, and as we all know, _someone_ ought to just make sure everyone has food to eat. Because it's a human right. If things weren't guaranteed rights just because they require someone else to invest work and time and money producing them, that totally ruins most of the ideas I learned in my first year at college.
@Andrew C People keep saying that, and yet the characters aren't that good in that film either. Best thing about that film was showing the sketchy side of Rebels and then the Vader scene at the end.
I washed my hands of Star Wars half way through the sequel trilogy. The brand is now in the stewardship of those who only view it as a personal vehicle for short term quick wins to advance their careers. All new material is designed to superficially embrace Star Wars in appearance to mask subpar plots, agenda-driven writing, and bad direction hoping our nostalgia-obsessed society won't notice because --> "member berries!!!!!"
After the Sequels pretty much completely destroyed the entirely of the first six films and their overaching story I just generally feel Star Wars has nothing now to offer. All the heroes we cared about turned out to become washed up old failures and everything they fought for turned out to be all for nothing and by the end of the Episode IX the entire Skywalker bloodline is now completely wiped out, the legacy is finished and we're left with a universe filled with characters nobody likes or cares for. It's more confusing as to why Disney is even bothering making shows and shit about all the pre Episode VII stuff when as already explained none of it matters cause the new movies just told us nothing gets accomplished in the long run. So really what's even the damn point? Why should I care or be excited about an Obi-Wan Kenobi show when Obi-Wan's character no longer matters. His purpose was to train both Anakin and Luke but Anakin failed to kill Palpatine and Luke just gives up on trying to restore the Jedi and becomes a grumpy cyincal old man waiting to die. Everything has been retconned to make Rey, a character with no personality, character arc, struggle or really anything the Saga's true saviour. The Star Wars universe now just feels completely hollow and empty now with little to nothing to get invested or interested in.
I remember the shots in a team where the caps went flying off the wheels, you could see the axle breaking, tires blowing... next shot all fine. God I miss that cheesy fun show :D
He is what a _lot_ of Millennials want: a passive and confused participant in a larger world who nonetheless is "in charge" despite never taking initiative or responsibility. It's his identity that matters, not his actions. A generation ago we knew that decisions and actions determined identity, particularly in relation to the world around oneself. Millennials invert causality--and then wonder why they fail.
He seems confused through the entire show. Like he expected to just walk in, shoot one guy, sit in a chair and just expected the whole “crime lord” thing to sort itself out from there.
His uncle buys some droids, so Luke goes to clean them. A droid ruins away, so Luke goes to find him. His parents die, and obi wan tells him stories about his father, so he follows obi wan. A princess beckons, so he goes to aldersan. Obi wan doesn't want imperial trouble, so Luke sells his land speeder to pay a pilot. Obi Wan gives him a blindfold, so he practices his lightsaber. The empire destroys alderaan, so he follows a TIE fighter. The empire captures their ship, so he puts on a disguise. Artoo finds the princess in the detention cell, so Luke goes to save her. The princess shoots a hole in the trash compactor, so he jumps down the chute. Vader kills Obi-wan, so he escapes the death star. Han tells him to use the guns, so he shoots tie fighters. The rebels tell him to shoot a torpedo down a reactor vent, so he goes back to the death star. Obi Wan tells him to use the force, so he turns his computer off. Han solo shoots Vader's ship off course so Luke takes the shot. 1977 STAR WARS is 100% Luke reacting to the plot.

The most wtf-part? Mandalorian Season 2 did establish him kinda badass-ish: Boba gets his Armor back and goes full super saiyan on those Stormtroopers, later barbecues Bib Fortuna without saying a word. "Oh, you almost killed me...do you want a job?"
@@SgtZaqq That is cause it was, reportedly Favreau and Filoni were constantly not anywhere near the set because of other jobs, especially with Favreau kinda being promoted to handling a large number of properties. The episodes they were there was when Mando got pulled out.

If Disney is so intent on making all the characters they follow squeaky clean good guys, why make a show about Boba Fett to begin with? Especially when he explicitly became a crime lord? You know, a role that demands someone of less-than-stellar moral fiber and probably wouldn’t fit their inane demands that things must stay family-friendly. Why not just let him be a villain in the background of the Mandalorian? Especially since Din basically fills the role of “Boba Fett, but a good guy” already. It’s like they were determined to have some show with Boba Fett in the title and couldn’t be bothered to think for a moment about what that would entail.
Easy, it’s boba fett, one of the most recognizable non main characters ever, the only reason we got bobf is because the boba movie was canned due to the solo flop And the series was produced as mandalorian season 2.5
@@ryanteeter4678 Don't even get me started on that. You gotta love it when an immensely-strong assassin has his target by the throat and could crush his windpipe in 2 seconds (or rip his head clean off), but instead opts to harmlessly throw him across the room. The same thing happens in Terminator: Salvation. Just smoosh his head! You had one job!
And let's not forget that Wookies have CLAWS. An unconscious man is laid out before an ASSASSIN - who could, hypothetically, tear out the man's throat - but instead he goes for the old grab-and-throw combo.
I was shocked when I saw how much praise and support this show got from the Star Wars community. It really shows how much the fans are to blame for the death of this franchise.
I think a lot of fans just don’t want to admit that their beloved franchise has been systematically destroyed since Disney made the acquisition. Every single piece of star wars material that Disney has produced has been absolute garbage with the exception of Mando and Rogue One. I think it’s time to put this franchise to bed. This show is so weird cos, whilst not perfect, I’d argue Mando season 1 and 2 were very well made and felt like it had a ton of money and effort put into it. This show was treated as a season 3 internally, a lot of the same people worked on the show, yet it sucked. It felt cheap, poorly written and just felt like filler. I’m really curious what the production was like behind the scenes
In a money sense, it sounds like they put too much into Mando, then when they needed to make more content, they cut their budgets, saving it for what they deem “The big one” to blow their load on for the future. To me it sounds like they’re sprinkling random seeds of plot, then they’ll harvest whatever lore grows from the cheap plants to then mix into a big future installment, it’ll seem like journey that was built up to.
I read a few articles that it kind of got trapped between covid hell and a rushed schedule. That wouldn’t have gotten rid of many of the things nobody liked, but a more realistic production might have made them tolerable
Maybe I'm gonna be unpopular, but the Boba Fett in the original trilogy was played by different people (both voice and body) and carried himself entirely differently too. This guy they've got here was perfectly fine as Jango Fett 15 years ago, but he's not Boba Fett.
To be fair, Temuera Morrison did say in his interviews that he didn't agree with the direction they took character. He constantly said Boba talks too much and isn't intimidating.
@@jasonsinn9237 he also said that he took the helmet off too much if i remember correctly, he knew the character but the writers just didn't give a shit
Mando is a better Boba Fett than Boba Fett. The story you want to hear about Boba Fett is his backstory, basically anything involving revenge against Mace Windu would have been interesting. But well having fallen Jedi Mace Windu survive broken and seeking revenge on the spawn of Skywalker would have been too interesting for the Sequel writers to come with.
I think the biggest issue with the Boba Fett show wasn't that he came back, or didn't die. Thats something I would be willing to accept if they did something with him. But he is suddenly a good guy without explanation who previously was depicted as ruthless, calculating, someone who had the respect of Vader. A guy who is passive, incompetent after being depicted as intelligent enough to catch Han Solo and look through his trick. Someone who can't seem to be able to win a fight with his gear, after handling some sand creature with his bare hands chained, while being half dead from lack of food, sleep and water. Someone who claims he wants respect, but never demands it, never punishes people for disrespecting him. This character was SO inconsistent with his previous character and even was inconsistent during the show. He makes little to no sense in this show even if you only know him from the few scenes in the movies. If you go into the clone wars series or the EU, it gets even worse. Funny enough, he is even inconsistent with his own future IN the Disney era. We see him in the show while being with the sand people, then see him in the older Mandalorian series when he gets his armor back THREATENING TO KILL GROGU. So he went from badass ruthless killer and bounty hunter, to a harmless incompetent baby, to be a ruthless killer in some scenes in the Mandalorian back to a harmless incompetent passive guy after getting his armor. How can you be this incompetent as a writer, it is actually funny. Everything else that doesn't add up for me are just the cherry on top. The biggest issue is Boba. But just a few examples: Tatooine was always depicted as a dead end, a poor planet, where people go to hide since it is so barren and there is so little going on that not even the empire was interested. But suddenly, there is some establishment that looks very fancy - how did that get there? there would have been no people with enough money to sustain it, no customer base, did they just snap into existence? How was someone on the planet who specialices in changing people into cyborgs basically, on a planet where there would be no technology, no parts and again: no customer base because that would be expensive as shit, even in this futuristic universe. How do people that have NO job pay for their enhancements? Or their Italian Vespers. Why do they look so new, and how come no one stole them, we are talking about a city on Tatooine where the biggest filth in the galaxy roam. Why would a cartel sell super expensive drugs on a planet that again would have had NO paying customers for this expensive shit. If they did some of the things on Nar Shadaa for example, that would at least make some sense. But it is Tatooine for crying out loud. If you stray away so far from the established universe, you better explain it in a good way. But it seems they just changed Boba so he is a heroic protagonist, where he should have been a ruthless guy. He isn't even an anti hero because he never did things for the greater good, but only for his own gains. Everyone must be child friendly or something. They also put in these cyborg characters propably because they thought the idea is cool, the characters would be cool and badass, same with their strange vespers, but it just doesn't fit Star Wars or Tatooine. It makes NO sense at all. And honestly, I am super afraid what they do with Kenobi. I was pissed at the Boba Fett show and I "only" like the character. Kenobi is one of the greatest characters not only in Star Wars but in general, and I already think they will fuck him up badly. If they do, I think they will lose another BIG chunk of the fanbase. In both cases you have good or even great actors who can turn in a good performance with the right direction and writing behind it. One guy we already know got fucked over (just like most characters in the new star wars movies where written like garbage, what can an actor do with that little and that bad material), the other... well let's just say just as Boba was second fiddle to Fennek, I expect Kenobi to not be about him, and show a useless broken man instead of the changing Jedi he should be during this time period. And they propably focus on the "strong female Sith Inquisitor" instead or something no fan really wants to see.
@@natethegreat7967 Well if the series would adress that fact in any way, shape or form. But he is just nice. Without any reasons. Lets people walk all over him. Without any reason. And does this while telling he wants respect. Yeah, thats how it works, if you let people do that to you, they will really respect you. As a former slave, he is nice to people who pretty much enslave him, without any real reason. Heck, he is passive, dumb, incompetent, has no plans, lets other talk over him constantly. Is there any explanation how an intimidating killer, who was smart enough to catch Han Solo suddenly becomes so incompetent? And it is blatant that he got plot armor, in a melee fight vs a wookiee he would have been torn to shreds. As would have been the others in the room. You also have to remember that he is super nice to the sand people which isn`t explained, but then when he wanted his armor back in the mandalorian show (because thats how the timeline would work) he threatens to kill Grogu to get his armor. Why would he do that? It simply doesn`t add up. Nothing makes sense. I as a fan want consistent content. Something that makes sense. If you change a character and it is well established and shown, thats okay. But if you throw around so much stuff without explaining anything, that just doesn`t make any sense. He lost to some people with a shield and sticks in a fight. The best bounty hunter, who went head to head with Jedi lost to normal humans who had sticks and shields.
@@natethegreat7967 But it makes no sense. Boba knows that Han threw him into the Sarlaac. Why would he become a good crime lord? Wouldn't it be more logical that he goes full on anti-New Republic? That'd actually be a cool concept, AND would explain the First Order (Which BFII failed to do). But nope, Boba is irrelevant now.
I expect Kenobi to not be about him, and show a useless broken man instead of the changing Jedi he should be during this time period. And they propably focus on the "strong female Sith Inquisitor" lul... that aged pretty well ngl
@@natethegreat7967 Cool, so which episode had the scenes exploring this transformation? When was Boba Fett coming to terms with who he used to be for his entire life and then deciding to be different? Why does Good Boba still insist on referring to himself as a "crime lord" if the goal is to be a reborn paladin of the light?
I am pretty sure they didn't went ahead with a full on Crime Lord story because that would be interesting and that would make the main character a criminal. Disney doesn't want any of their main characters doing villainous things. They cannot do a story with a villain protagonist without turning him into a good guy, like Loki.
Not true. Disney celebrates villains. Have you been living under a Disney-free rock for the last 10 years? You're lucky if so. Where can I find a rock to live under to be free of Disney?
@@SammEater Disney has been celebrating villains while making heroes look stupid, silly or weak for many years now. It's social engineering for children to become like them.
@@gregoryl.levitre9759 Fair point. Still, usually the villains are still the villains of the story and someone else the hero, they can't make them the protagonist. It would be too on the surface. They either turn them into anti heroes like Loki and Cruella or make nothing of substance with them like with Boba Fett basically doing nothing besides watching other people do the dirty work for him. They are still Disney, making a villain protagonist is a no-no and a hate crime.
As a coworker Jeff at my work said “Disney will never promote a bad guy” As Mando’s bounty hunting is really downplayed and the whole marketing for season 1 was “bounty hunter show” Same with boba, his character before was ruthless and having him a bad guy is against Disney
I'm OK with Disney blowing 15 million on an episode as long as it leads to Robot Head videos like this one (and I don't have to watch the episodes myself).
I thought $9m per ep for Star Trek: Discovery and Picard was bad. But $15 million? They're not even bothering to hide their money laundering in these 2020s.
Book of Boba Fett is like the Star Wars equivalent of Star Trek Picard: Lets use a beloved character to flagship a new show, which will bear no resemblance to the original character or show whatsoever, but we'll keep fanboys engaged with an endless stream of memberberries.
The Book of Boba Fett was just a waste of time that honestly makes me upset. Sure, Boba Fett wasn't all that great in the OT because of how little we saw him and how little he even talked... but that's the image we all fell in love with when we saw Boba Fett. A menacingly stoic bounty hunter that sadly didn't exactly amount to much in Return of the Jedi, but regardless, that image, that aura, that energy it was ALL there. They translated this well in the comics, both in the Canon and Legends continuity. Did Boba Fett need to be 100% cold and badass in his show? No. He didn't. But was he at all? I would argue.... he hardly was! For a character like Boba you're going to *have* to show him being this cold and menacing person because that's what Boba Fett is about. He's no hero. He's no villain. He's a man who knows how to fight, knows when not to, but shows enough that he absolutely would. As for the show itself? Almost nothing feels earned. Boba Fett respects the Tusken Tribe? Cool, nice concept... but why? The FIRST thing they do is beat him, leave him to die, force him into working in the sand for what we can assume is hours on end to get water. Why did he grow attached to them at all? They've shown no concern for the Rodian they lost, if he had died there they wouldn't have cared either I'd reckon. Fennec assassinates all the biggest Mob bosses? Okay, but... why wasn't Boba at least a part of that? Their feud was with HIM, surely he should've had a hand in it at the very least? Hell, we didn't even know why exactly they all went against Boba, and hell, the Mayor showed up a few times and did fuck all throughout. Then Fennec waltzes in to their commune that had next to no security and just eviscerates them all. If it was that easy why didn't they just... do it earlier? Cad Bane vs Boba Fett. People need to stop overhyping this. A good concept that was done LEAGUES better in the deleted scene of the Clone Wars. And that says a lot, that was a fairly short clip too lol. The fight was not only a sincere downgrade in BOTH of their abilities (I get it, they're old, but we've seen old people throw it down before in Star Wars. They are also elite bounty hunters, there's no way they're rusty. I blame it on the choreography.) but it was very anticlimactic. The rivalry between the two never felt genuine because Cad Bane showed up episodes later into this MINISERIES. There was no build up. Next to none of it existed in the show. People will always point to the Clone Wars and say "But but it's all there!" and yeah, sure, but this is a different show. The Clone Wars isn't to the Book of Boba Fett what a gaming manual is to a video game. They are two separate mediums and they will be judged as such. Boba Fett gives up being a Crime Lord? He did fuck all as the Daimyo, what reason do I have to believe this is even a good development arc for him? He just decides to drop his entire goal by the end of the show so we're just back to square one I guess? Not to mention... he claims he wants to be different from Jabba who "Ruled with fear" and opts to "Rule with respect".... but he doesn't even "rule" at all? As a matter of fact, the SAME scene he says this in he scares the other mobster bosses with his Rancor effectively contradicting his "Rule with respect and not fear" dilemma. This show did nothing for Boba. It was just a small advert for Mandalorian season 3. And does it do a good job at that? Lmao you decide for yourselves.
Exactly. I still don’t get how Boba Fett, someone who was a cold and heartless bounty Hunter somehow turned into a “good hero” in 15 minutes. Like, why didn’t he just beat the hell out those gangsters if they are stealing from a business THAT HE PROFITS FROM! All of his skill and weaponry he had in the OT, suddenly decided to be little to nothing in this show. Hell, THE SLAVE 1 DOESN’T EVEN GET ANY USE! He could’ve used it at any point during this series, but it was only used when he got revenge for the Sand People? Actually, why did he care for his captors in the first place? They captured him, used him as a slave, and didn’t even care about his life, yet he protected them? Yea sure… the cold killer for hire suddenly loves some random sand people. This is the most confusing Boba Fett yet. Hell, even Lego Star Wars got his character right, and it’s Lego!
I think another glaring issue is his appearance. He is too old and out of shape. Nothing against the actor, but Boba Fett reminds me of some college professor larping at comic con just waiting for someone to ask him a question about entomology!
The best part of writters trying to sell bounty-hunters or any type of mediocre scoundrel, is how everyone is just standing still shooting as if they all wear personal force-shields. How is the mandalorian even considered a bounty-hunter? The guy can't plan for shit, can't shoot for shit, every major fight he picks a stick or staff to melee someone instead of blasting. Same shit with Bobba, every fight a headshot or even a gutshot would save him 10 years, he goes full mongo melee, for what lol? Everything related to Star Wars past Rogue One is legit garbage.
@Deadpoppin it’s always interesting hearing about rogue one because of how different it is to everyone. When was the last time you watched it? And how many times? Sorry just curious
@@dylansharp8471 BOBF for me is a mixed bag. It has some epic moments, eg ep 5-6, train scene, rancor scenes, mando + boba fight, etc. But then it also has some really weird stuff in it, like Vespa kids and that wonky BK fight in Ep 3. Im not a psycho like robot head who must analyze every episode, watch multiple times, pick apart every scene and motivation, etc. i think that’s stupid. I just watch and enjoy, but however I do notice when things are legitimately really bad.
I wonder how upset Temura Morrison is about the direction of this show? He probably thought he was going to play the Legends Boba Fett passed off as Canon where Boba became Mandalore and worked with Han Solo and Admiral Daala. He was a morally grey character with an honor code. But no he’s just in this show for the name recognition because if it was a new character no one would watch it because it’s so shit. That’s why you shouldn’t throw out stories made by one of the greatest story tellers of all time who not only had more strong female characters but better strong female characters than Kathleen Kennedy ever will for shit a businessman came up with in a drunk evening. Edit: For the people who’ll inevitably ask for some strong female characters from the EU here are some examples with some commentary for some (Google the others for background info): Jaina Solo Fel-Rumored to be a living goddess Creia- The most interesting force sensitive of all time Admiral Daala Ania Solo- Wiped out the Sith Sia Fel Mara Jade Abeloth-The most powerful being in Star Wars including Vitiate Ashoka Tano Vergere Lumiya Ysanne Isard Viqi Shesh- Benedict Arnold but with less honor and the definition of power hungry Leía Padme Darth Zannah Darth Talon Ghitthany Atris Meetra Surik Aura Singh Bastilla Shan Satele Shan Other obscure strong female characters: Vongerella- a force sensitive Yuuzhan Vong Unnamed Jedi who awakened the force within Atton Rand allowing Surik to defeat the Sith Triumvirate
Not to crap on / fat-shame the actor but I assume he realised he wouldn't be playing a tough and powerful fighter when they didn't ask him to get more muscular.
You are such a great robot-headed being, that you're accent changes when you are eating cereal. Awesome robot pecs, too, by the way. Love your work, RH.
I liked how Boba takes over a major galactic crime syndicats, and just runs it all by himself with his girlfriend… teleworking really works in the future! He never even had to leave his neighborhood. Then the scooter-gang is without credibility, and the plot gets sillier and lazier from there. The ending wasn’t too satisfying either. More wasted opportunities!! F-
I think Mandalorian deserves some credit. It's true it has many problems, including having very short and at times unimpressive episodes for it's absurd cost. But it is written a lot better than sequels and boba. It has better characters, story and action, and it distances itself from the horrible sequels and builds on better stories like the clone wars and originals. Far from perfect but it is a rare gem nowdays.
I like that Mando is at least trying to flesh out the universe even within the confines of Disney's bullshit. With the terrible bridge novels and the sequel films, Disney's broken the post Jedi timeline. I honestly wonder what these shows would be like if they weren't constantly dancing around fixed points of the Disney-verse. No matter what they do, Kathleen Kennedy is still in charge w/ her JJ Asshole influenced story.
To be fair when it came to Boba letting the Hutts get off scot free, it's well-known that starting something with the Hutt Clan is a very ill-decision, as it usually wouldn't take much for them to have your head in front of them due to all the guns they could hire. I don't remember if that was established in the show for those who were unaware, but if it wasn't, it should've been, because I've seen multiple reviews with people being confused as to why Boba didn't just pull the trigger.
what would the hutts do...send assassins? Sorry no, the whole ordeal makes no sense "it is well known.." yeah in Star wars media that gives a damn like the TOR stuff, but you cant really argue against ending those slugs then and there
@@unknownentity8489 In the EU at least, Jabba had basically gone into exile. He was on Tatooine, backwater and dusty as it was because the Hutts didn't want him around after he killed his aunt. If this was in the EU, I would have said maybe the Hutts didn't realise how much influence Jabba had grown since they were holding him at arms length but it's not, so sadly I can't.
There's only one goddamn' Boba Fett, and that is the one briefly seen in the original trilogy and especially portrayed in the 3-book series "The Bounty Hunter Wars".
I think we need reminding that a "jump the shark" moment is not necessarily a low point, nor does it necessarily mean that a franchise is on its last legs. Rather the shark jump is the moment when you realize that it has lost the spark that made it special, and that it's likely pretty much downhill from there. The franchise's best days are behind it. Case in point, the namesake Happy Days episode occurred only halfway through its long run, and the show still ran on for five more years after that, with good ratings and spin-off shows. What it did demonstrate, though, was that the writers were starting to struggle to find good stories and ways to keep the show relevant. Taking the characters on an exotic "action" getaway was their attempt to spice things up a bit and bring viewers back.
Disney took my favorite character and destroyed him both physically and mentally it was better off when Boba Fett actually died in the sarlacc pit! I wish I wasn't right that Boba Fett survived but he's better off dead or he's better in Legends then canon.
They really made boba seem so lame in his own show. I also think that they should’ve just made Boba the new mayor/sheriff if that is what he was going to do. When he didn’t immediately start blasting the go go gadget Vespa gang, I was Super embarrassed for the character and all fans of the character
That "gang" looked like they walked off of the set from "The Warriors 1979", and not because they look retro in a cool 1977-1980 Star Wars kind of way, but because they look like their low budget costumes are pretty much on par with the gang from that movie that dress up in baseball uniforms, and the other gang that dress up in standard circus clown makeup!
Once again, Robot Head sums up my thoughts on Star Wars perfectly. I’ve always wanted to see Temuera Morrison return to play as an older Boba Fett, and I absolutely love Ming-Na Wen, so I think it’s a bloody waste to see them in a show like TBOBF. Can’t wait for the next episode mate
It's funny how Boba stands in this show. If he's not holding something, he puts his arms straight out like half a foot from his body for some reason. Looks like a little kid trying to look tough.
The moment for me was poes first line in last Jedi. I already knew force awakens was not that great, but that first Poe line made me realize it was going to get worse and worse.
That's what you get from the house of mouse. Whatever IP they deal with becomes a sanitised paint by numbers intended to be safe and universal. Characters are often hollow automatons displaying themselves only as a product, Disney has no interest in backstory, motivation, or fandom related to what they see as commercial assets. It seems they are systematically working out the perfect algorithm for a monopolised mainstream entertainment, at which point the notion that media can also be art dies. So obvious and entertaining concepts like Black Krrsantan being: Incredibly strong, A mad claw, one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy. Are suppressed, not understood, or considered trivial aspects of his character.
Your Magic Spoon segment was actually how I like adverts delivered. With a nice sense of humour. These companies should take notes about letting creators do this, because nobody wants to watch an advert that just sounds like scripted garbage
man...it's funny to trash these disney star wars gaffs but at the end of the day this shit just breaks my heart. And he didn't even know that Din was on Tatooine, and he didn't call him to meet him! Did he just order R2 to land at a random location and drop Grogu off?! I love how the “gang”’s scooters look like normal ones only without wheels. Did they forget this was in the Star Wars universe??? And no, having multiple side mirrors doesn’t make it futuristic.
Partly why it doesn't even feel like SW. It's either too close to what we know on earth or a rehash of some either Sci fi stereotype
The mirror thing is straight up taken from 1960s mod culture. So no, it's really NOT futuristic!
" we're poor and can't afford water"
*says this while having expensive cybernetics, shiny pimped out mopeds, cleanest people on the whole planet etc
So... On a planet where "Moisture Farmers" have to literally strip the moisture from the air to support life... Water is expensive? Imagine my shock.

The mandalorian is good
@Andrew C People keep saying that, and yet the characters aren't that good in that film either. Best thing about that film was showing the sketchy side of Rebels and then the Vader scene at the end.
Eh, Mandalorian is great...probably also THE only good part of the Boba Fett show alongside Cad Bane.
If you like to read i would recommend you try the eu books.
What a perfect comment, actually took a screenshot cuz you described it so well lmao
@Newsbender II You’re right I hated that reveal trailer for many reasons. Most disappointing was rebel v. empire…..Again.
that can be said for a lot of things now
After the Sequels pretty much completely destroyed the entirely of the first six films and their overaching story I just generally feel Star Wars has nothing now to offer.
The General Lee comparison is hilarious. Pretty much every jump wrecked an old dodge charger lol
I remember the shots in a team where the caps went flying off the wheels, you could see the axle breaking, tires blowing... next shot all fine. God I miss that cheesy fun show :D
The way they write Boba Fett seems like he's a passive character in his own show. Does he drive the plot forward, or does he react to it?
He is what a _lot_ of Millennials want: a passive and confused participant in a larger world who nonetheless is "in charge" despite never taking initiative or responsibility. It's his identity that matters, not his actions. A generation ago we knew that decisions and actions determined identity, particularly in relation to the world around oneself. Millennials invert causality--and then wonder why they fail.
He looks like an old dad who is constantly waiting for the next barbecue.
He seems confused through the entire show. Like he expected to just walk in, shoot one guy, sit in a chair and just expected the whole “crime lord” thing to sort itself out from there.
Luke Skywalker is 100% reactive though

Plus, Luke... He litteraly had Ashoka with him. He didn't ask about Anakin. And even if he didn't know, he didn't ask how the jedis were back then. She might not know, and it might be seen as a desperate move (but not in this case), but he definelty should have started a conversation.
She's literaly the only force user alive who was jedi order. The empire is defeated. Theres no direct threat and they are on a peacefull planet, and they are few feets from each other.

Even if they weren't overly emmotional and had patience. It was a really rare opportunity and sharing any informarion would have helped them reach their goal, if only by becoming a better person. Maybe learning more about the Jedis before starting a new Jedi order seems like a wise move, idk.
Maybe learning why it failed. Hey, she might not know the answer, but thats all you've got. Maybe she'd have some insight or a hint.

He learn some light side and some dark side powers. He's as close to a grey as it gets without direct introductions. He represent the perfect forcce weilder. He doesn't know of the whole jedi Creed. He doesn't know of their flaws and that ir caused their downfall. But likewise, he wasn't indoctrinated into believing them. When he learn Jedi stuff after Empire Strike back during his 3 year training, He should have at least thought about it, especially in the last year. Or how about after Return of the Jedi, He had 6 years. He should have decided for himself what he kept. What he left.
He had no reasons to force Grogu to chose one. The lightsaber or the armor.
For Geogus race, learning the force is a way of life. Its part of your identity. If he had the ccapability to use it, but never trained it and perfected it, it would do him wrong, even if its just shame and guilt and feeling less then compared to others of his race.
Through his teaching, you would have learned Humility, self control, patience, wisdom, get you in shape and all the advantage that brings, a clear mind and with Lukes specific knowledge and style, learn self confidence, to love yourself, to form attachement, yet how to move on. And to be kind. To hope.
Emotional maturity.
Even without the self defence capability and the power to do good and help other, He would have been the best Groggu he could become.
And to force such a life changing choice on a child? On a timer?
He was ready to teach him on that planet untill he literally died of old age. To restart a new Jedi order.
Yet he didn't take the time to talk to ashoka. To think about Groggu?
And both of them, who should have near otherwordlt wisdom never thought od that?

You gotta love it when an immensely-strong assassin has his target by the throat and could crush his windpipe in 2 seconds (or rip his head clean off), but instead opts to harmlessly throw him across the room. The same thing happens in Terminator: Salvation. Just smoosh his head! You had one job!
And let's not forget that Wookies have CLAWS. An unconscious man is laid out before an ASSASSIN - who could, hypothetically, tear out the man's throat - but instead he goes for the old grab-and-throw combo.

TheLonelyGoomba watches Star Wars? I really wasn’t expecting to see him here

I read a few articles that it kind of got trapped between covid hell and a rushed schedule. That wouldn’t have gotten rid of many of the things nobody liked, but a more realistic production might have made them tolerable
I thought you were stuck between two pipes 🤔

I'd much rather watch an entertaining tv show than keep listening to a cynical backseat director behind a microphone complain about mediocre tv shows.
But just a few examples:
Tatooine was always depicted as a dead end, a poor planet, where people go to hide since it is so barren and there is so little going on that not even the empire was interested.
Nearly dying can definitely cause someone to question all their previous life choices.
Disney doesn't want any of their main characters doing villainous things. They cannot do a story with a villain protagonist without turning him into a good guy, like Loki.

Book of Boba Fett is like the Star Wars equivalent of Star Trek Picard: Lets use a beloved character to flagship a new show, which will bear no resemblance to the original character or show whatsoever, but we'll keep fanboys engaged with an endless stream of memberberries.
This is the best comment.
Nailed it.
Agreed -JACK
@@ZACHANDJACKSZACHSMAFIA I also agree -not JACK
You put more thought into your comment than the entire writing staff apparently put into this series. Tip of the hat to you, good sir.

To be fair when it came to Boba letting the Hutts get off scot free, it's well-known that starting something with the Hutt Clan is a very ill-decision, as it usually wouldn't take much for them to have your head in front of them due to all the guns they could hire.
This show they just didn’t have ideas that could fit with their “brand.” Other stuff will be better trust me
A world where a Dallas reference needs explaining is not a world I want to live in.
Wow. I thought I was the only one who still used the jump the shark phrase.
14:44 That clip of black crastnanton (or whatever) power walking off into the dessert is the funniest shit.
These videos are all so good. I still go back and watch the old ones and laugh my ass off.
“The Duran Duran gang.” 😂
Disney took my favorite character and destroyed him both physically and mentally it was better off when Boba Fett actually died in the sarlacc pit! I wish I wasn't right that Boba Fett survived but he's better off dead or he's better in Legends then canon.
Definitely agreed. Basically everything is better in Legends to me and I didn’t even grow up with it or anything.
I don't like how he fell 3 times into the Sarlacc pit in Legends, but it still beats what we got here.
Maybe it's just another clone pretending to be him, that's why he is so old...
@@Vitalis94 that other falls were almost never bought up again. They are just made for laughts so no need to take them seriously.
@@Andre-gm8jf Still, they were part of the canon, whether we liked it or not.
That was the best cereal commercial i ever saw! I think I'll order!
They really made boba seem so lame in his own show. I also think that they should’ve just made Boba the new mayor/sheriff if that is what he was going to do. When he didn’t immediately start blasting the go go gadget Vespa gang, I was Super embarrassed for the character and all fans of the character
LAUGHING MY ASS OFF at that commercial break.
I gotta admit I was feeling like the show was just okay… until episode 3. I still don’t know what brought me back for episode 4 and the rest
Ep 3 is the only bad episode
Somehow Palpatine returned?
To me it was the moment Rey held up that electronic thing with that stupid grin on her face and told Han Solo that she "fixed" the Falcon.
I really appreciate channels like this.
I'm also glad I haven't spent any time out of my life on Disney Star Wars since The Last Jedi.
I literally grew up with star wars, my dad put me in front of the tv with episode vi when i was like 4. I loved the prequels too. what disney has done to something so cherished by so many is just...sad
"My backpack's got jets
Well I'm Boba the Fett
Well I bounty hunt for Jabba Hutt
To finance my 'Vette"
This should have been the theme song.
I think the best part about the book of boba fett is that half way through it turned into the mandalorian season 2.5. A far superior show
That show is shit too. And they ruined Luke again.
@@Сайтамен how?
@@dandan6819 Luke Skywalker is such an irresponsible asshole that he 1) gave a baby who barely understands what is happening around him the choice of who he should be in life - a Mandalorian or a Jedi without the right to change his mind, 2) sent him alone to Tatooine, where he himself was almost killed a hundred times, where his uncle and aunt were burned, where his sister and father were slaves, and where a war of two mafia groups is currently taking place! And he didn't even know that Din was on Tatooine, and he didn't call him to meet him! Did he just order R2 to land at a random location and drop Grogu off?! And after all, what an insane luck that the first person who stumbled upon Grogu was the only person on the planet who knew him! (well, one of six). I didn't think it was possible to fuck up Luke even more than The Last Jedi, but Disney was able to do it...
@@Сайтамен 1) grogu is 50, 2) I can only think of 3 times Luke was almost killed, 2 of which being when he tried to fight a mafia group, so you’re going to have to point out the other 97 times he’s almost died on tatooine, 3) it probably isn’t possible to keep track of every gang war on every planet, never mind one that only lasted like an hour or 2, grogu was most likely sent before the battle even begun, 4) R2D2 landed in the hanger the mandalorian was using at the time, so not a random location
@@dandan6819 1) He is 50 but he doesn't now what armwrestling is, he eats everything he sees and tried to touch darksaber blade.
2) Doesn't matter, stop nitpicking the numbers, Tatooine is a dangerous planet.
3) He knows Jabba is dead and there is power vacuum, and everyone will fight for power.
4) R2 didn't even know that Mando was on Tatooine, let alone which hangar he used.
11:37 i love how he didnt need to even talk about THIS one where boba gets sent flying and smashes into the bacta tank, he just lets it play out in full
The chase scene was so painful, might as well played clown music. From a franchise that brought us the speeder chase scene on Endor, it was a slap in the face to all that came before it. Perhaps the worse chase scene in any movie?
Honesty makes me happy. Thank you.
So glad I have never seen the new Fett series!
Robot Head is the best thing that come out of the Disney Star Wars tragedy.
Another perfect breakdown covering all about this show as a whole. Again and again its crazy how much can change in a franchise when the 'wrong people' have control of it.
Looking forward to Part 2.
i love how this episode was so shit that it needs 2 videos LOL
Boba giving very strong Joe Rogan vibes, chilling in his sensory deprivation tank.
It feels like an eternity between each Robot Head ep!
True, we need to push for a live stream or podcast right, he's too funny
Jebus dude, you're making me realise how even more shit it was than I thought, I look forward to hearing about the Mos Vespa gang, and the stupidity of cybernetics on a fucking SAND planet.
The way Rey turned into Goku and asked all living and non living Jedi to grant her their power was incredibly stupid
The “gang” designs are staple to starwars. That’s what all cyborgs look like in starwars. This is Star Wars. Right?
Black Chewie went to the supernatural school of throwing the protagonist instead of just fucking killing them. CW star wars lady and gentlemen
I just BEG that Kenobi doesn't suffer this fate
It will
Well
I remember feeling excited when I saw an interview with Tam after the first episode where he mentions he’ll “be on a gun ship with a Fenec and colourful cast of characters…”
OH NO! I DIDNT WATCH BOOK OF BOBA FETT, BUT THEY ACTUALLY DID THAT???
*plants palm on face
Nowt more than the clips in reviews
This is a damn good comercial, now I want those cereals
