Update 7/25/23: This is definitely 5 star bread! I made a double batch over the weekend. Did half baguettes and 2 free form loaves. A-MAZING! I did have to use a bit of flour to get the wet dough to form nice loaves, but now I know. The bread sliced wonderfully and was perfect for soaking up pan juices. Great alone with butter too, and my friends said it even toasted well. Thank you! Recipe will be used many times, guaranteed. 7/21/23: You made it look so easy, I’m literally proofing a double batch right now! You can smell the thyme and the lemon zest. Yum. Wish me luck!

Holy smokes! This bread is delicious. I made it this evening, 2-10-2021, and just love the smell and the briney taste. Will dip it in herbed olive oil for a snack tomorrow. Thank you, thank you, thank you. To other bakers out there, give it a try. I baked it both ways as shown in the video, covered and uncovered. I have stopped purchasing bread from grocery stores. It is so easy to make and not full of preservatives.

I have been making them for almost three years, I mix with dried garlic powder, all kinds of dried herbs, curry, nuts, seeds etc. but also, cinnamon, honey or with extra sugar then you get sugar bread :-) No one makes bread so fast, simpel and much easier as 'Steve from no knead bread'. I LOVE OLIVE BREAD AND I BUY IT EVERY TIME I SEE IT. IT'S A LITTLE HARD TO FIND HERE IN THAILAND SO WHEN I GET MY KITCHEN BUILT I WILL USE YOUR RECIPE AND MAKE MY OWN. THANK YOU FOR SHOWING US HOW.

I think Steve is the reason we cannot get flour in any stores during this lockdown as everyone is making bread at home now he has showed us how easy it is to make LOL 😁

It would be nice to know for someone who does not have a covered baker or an Italian double loaf pan if you told us how long and at what temperature we baked ours on a sheet. Even if it's not as good as one done in a special baker, it should still taste great and even be a reason for buying one of the specialized baking pans. Anyhow, love your channel!!!

? Huh? He has a vid on sizes of pans in his library...
He mentions and types the temperature on the screen so the audience can (both) hear him recite as well as read the temperature on the monitor/screen

I think the baking time on a baking sheet should be the same as the double loaf pan. I don't have either of the two pans Steve used so I'm going to try it on a baking sheet also or my Dutch oven. Good luck!

I'm baking this today ... only two of us in the house so I cut the recipe in half and I'm using the Poor Man's Dutchoven. I'll let you know!
