    tell you something: could not listen to this instrument for years as my brother played it so well so many years ago and I still miss him so much. But now I can listen and at the same time think of him

    melancholic and beautiful at the same time it's a very inspiring music for me, as I see green rolling hills and a emigrant leaving his home aboaut 100 years ago ;)

      It was actually written for friend of the Composer who had lost all her family to Smallpox actually nearer to 200 years ago. O'Carolan was a blind itinerant harper, who was born in a place called Nobber (I kid you not) in County Meath.
