Coming from North Carolina, I remember driving to my first Autocross event 1.5 years ago. It was not only my first motorsports event but also one of the most intimidating and rewarding experiences of my life. While the DMV area is quite diverse, NC carries the weight of its history, and stepping into this community felt like a big leap. Since then, I’ve made it a personal mission to bring people from different backgrounds into Autocross, because I truly believe it could make our community richer and more inclusive. I really wish there was a bigger focus on this issue at a national level - it would be amazing to see that kind of support to make our sport brighter and more accessible to everyone.
