Just got the regenerator skip on the first attempt with no armor or weapons equipped. I just stood on it edge and rolled. Easy peezy. Then, I thought I was screwed and would have to die. I got back on the other side of the broken wall though. I didn't even have to roll. I walked up on the right side of the part, put my camera view towards the sky, and simply walked over. I couldn't believe it.
Tip for anyone having a hard time with the skeletons; use your fist. You can break their roll when you first engage them with a punch, then just take a step towards them between each punch, don't combo. You can cheese all the skeles like this. Takes me 5 punches to kill with no points in strength and they can't attack back Thanks for the videos. My first proper playthrough of a souls game so I went royalty and have been putting points into magic and int which has made everything a breeze. Really appreciate you showing multiple weapons, the crescent is insanely strong with the 19 points in magic I have so far.
I did the wall roll to get the ring and didn’t read where you can’t get back over unless you fight a boss. Beat the red eyed skelly on the second attempt and had 7k souls.. I spent 15 minutes rolling at the short wall where I picked the ring up and luckily rolled right over. It can be done it’s just very time consuming.
For the Regen Ring skip, take off all armor and weapons (I left rings on) and aim slightly to the right of where Cowboy was aiming. Where the dip in the wall is (the lowest point). Took me about 10-ish tries. Also, be careful of the trap at the bottom of that hole you are rolling over. And Cowboy, you are the effin best there is. You are the reason I got my plat for Bloodborne. Thanks to you and your team, bro.
Against those skeletons, early on it would probably be better to just punch them with your fists. They are weak to blunt and resistant to slashing, so im pretty sure you'd kill tham faster and do more damage bare handed than with using that battleaxe.
I am pretty sure he knows about the skeletons weakness. The thing is he is a doing a new-player walkthrough. So he is trying to make the journey as seamless as possible.
I am playing this for the first time and it is painfully addictive 😁. Also it's my first souls game ever, so your videos really helped me, managed to beat the vanguard demon today in the tutorial. Appreciate your effort putting this together. Also it's hard to believe how easy you make it look
11:45 to do the ring skip take off all your armour and weapons. Roll directly into where the wall is broken. (Where there is bricks missing) Hope this helps.
I watched you do that ring skip while I was in bed, just doing a review for when I played the next day. I was like “welp I’m not going to be able to pull that skip off”. Well here I am now I just pulled it on the first try. I’m in awe right now
For the regenerator skip walking as close to the edge as I could and then rolling straight forward toward the darker shadowy area on the bricks worked first try for me. After about 30 tries with a run up lol
Regarding the Dozer Axe (from the wiki) "At 30 Strength the Crushing Great Axe outperforms this weapon 372 > 340 and weighs 12 less with the same moveset. It is harder to farm the materials for, however, making the Dozer Axe a better option if you're short on time." So its really not a big deal unless youre the kind of collector who has to have every item. Personally, I like to try to collect every weapon and piece of gear in the game, so I get it.
9:20 you can run down the hallway hugging right side of wall to get through without a shield and get through before the first arrows fire. Just make sure you dont run out of endurance.
FYI if anyone's wondering. The the regenerater skip you have to remove all your weapons and armor first. I would also suggest spending your souls first if since you will probably die trying to get back.
To get that adjudicator ring (or whatever it's called) simply remove all your armor and weapons, then roll. Supposedly armor and all has nothing to do with weight beyond the already 'light' roll, but it does. Trust me on this one, I got it first try this way
Thanks so much! Got the regen ring, but i had to remove all equipment first and then got it first try. Now trying to figure out how to get back without losing my souls!
First time playing demon souls and loved your walkthrough for blood borne. I got the regeneration ring first try and it helped so much. Thank u for showing that. 😊😊
Great job man !! Thanks for the walkthroughs of it wasn’t for you I would still be stuck in first part please keep the videos coming I’m following along with you!!!!
As others have said, to get the regenerator ring, just unequip all armor and then do the roll. I got it like second try. And as for getting back to the start, keep all your armor off and trying rolling through the gap in the wall. Just keep trying at different angles and you’ll get thru (only took me a minute or two I hope it’s the same for everyone else!) Hope this helps!
I'm glad I wasn't the only one that struggled here. Fire really helps.

FYI I got the Regenerator Ring pretty easily by 1) Running before rolling and 2) Aiming slightly to the right of where you were trying. Thanks for mentioning the shortcut 👍
5:44 For anyone having trouble with the cyber skellys in this area, I know it sounds crazy but put your weapon away and use your fists, blunt damage just merc’s them. If you have a club it’s even better but fists will take them out in 3 strikes.
Love your guides man thank you very much! 1st time playing demon souls and loving it - also i got the regenerator ring 3rd attempt, as took all armour and weapons off... Worked like a charm additionally when you're trapped on other side of wall keep naked and roll through the gap and walk back to base! Edit: re: ring - i just seen there's hundreds of people commenting exactly what i did ha! Apologies!
For anyone feeling saucy there's a good starter weapon for faith builds in 5-1. Basically you can try to run past / dodge every enemy then right before the first fog gate there is a plank to the left. Roll on it, roll down the hill and baseline past the enemies. I believe the mace is the pickup on your left....... good luck
@@maradei oh so there are 5 stones right. We just number them from left to right and the second number is which bonfire. So you start off with 1-1 through 5-1 unlocked.
OG Demons Souls didn't have individual names like this one does so zones were called after the arcstone. For example 1-2 was Boletaria, Phalanx Arcstone instead of Lord's Path.
I just got the regenerator ring using your skip! Thank you! Just gotta be sure to sprint at that point before rolling, seems to help! Though I did get stuck on the other side! 😂
Magic is pretty easy all in all. Either starting magic class has a strong spell that will carry you through the early game: the Magician has Flame Toss, which is probably better for 1-1 since it's fire damage, while the Royalty has Soul Arrow, which will still generally one-shot most enemies. The Royalty is overall a bit better, especially if you start as a female body type, since you will start with a female-only piece of armor that grants you innate MP regen so that you can never run out of spell casts. You can also save up 1000 souls and just buy the other spell from the magic trainer in the Nexus, so don't worry about spell choice. Overall the Royalty is generally the better class. Once you beat 1-1, you'll want to go grab the Crescent Falchion +1 that Cowboy got from 4-1 since like he said it's basically your best weapon as a mage, with potential upgrades only really coming substantially later. After that you'll want to go to 3-1 and clear it. 3-1 is generally a very difficult stage when compared to the other possible stages you can do, but it is probably the single most important stage to clear early for a mage. For one thing, all of the Mind Flayer enemies have a high chance of dropping either Fresh or Aged Spice, which is the item that restores MP: getting a big stack of those effectively gives you infinite spells in levels. The second reason is that Sage Freke, the primary advanced magic trainer, is trapped there. You need to get almost to the end of the level to free him, but once you do you'll be able to trade boss souls to him for powerful spells. Lastly, the boss of 3-1 can be transformed into the extremely powerful Soul Ray spell, which is basically a stronger Soul Arrow that also pierces through enemies. Once you have this spell it will probably be your bread and butter for most levels, and it makes clearing groups of enemies much more manageable since it pierces. Aside from those general ideas you can basically do anything. You'll want to pump your Magic stat as high as it can go early on to boost your spell damage, but spells soft-cap on damage at level 30 like most stats in Demon's Souls so you don't have to go that high. Get your health as high as you want it, get some Endurance so that you can block and roll when you need to, and get some Intelligence to be able to slot more spells. Don't worry too much about getting a lot of MP from Intelligence since once you finish 3-1 you should have a bunch of Fresh/Aged Spice to restore your MP with, and you can always come back and farm more or just buy it. A few endgame spells have high MP costs, but if you get up to about 18 Int you should be able to cast everything you'd ever care to in the game, which will also get you up to 3 spells slots. Once you've done those areas you can do whatever areas you want. That said, you can get an extremely powerful spell from 3-3's boss and another from 2-3's boss, and you can get some quite decent spells from 2-1's boss, though you'll have to choose one of two choices for that one. Once you have Soul Ray, though, you can easily clear all non-boss enemies with it so you really won't need to worry too much. Get whatever looks interesting to you, and if it doesn't work out you'll always have Soul Ray to fall back on. EDIT: For a Magic build you'll probably want to ignore most Miracles, but there is one exceptionally powerful Miracle that you may want to pick up called Second Chance. Second Chance puts a buff on you until you die that negates death and restores 50% of your maximum health, and can be re-cast once it falls off. It is extremely powerful and game-breaking, and is banned by pretty much all challenge run rules as its use would negate most of the intended added challenge. If you want to use Second Chance, you'll want to kill the boss of 4-2: the advanced Miracle trainer is in 4-2 so you can save him and then make a really good spell right afterwards. It requires 2 Miracle slots, so you'll need to level your Faith up to 16; luckily, the Royalty starts with 12 Faith, another way that it is better in this case than the Magician, who starts with a paltry 6. The Regeneration spell can also be fairly strong for creating a life recovery build, but you can't use it with Second Chance, so if you decide that you want to use Second Chance you shouldn't learn Regeneration since you will have to choose one of them to use. If you do decide you want to use Regeneration instead of Second Chance, it only requires 1 Miracle slot, so you won't have to level up your Faith as a Royalty at all. You'll need to kill the 4-1 boss to get the boss soul to trade for Regeneration, then do the beginning of 4-2 in order to rescue the advanced Miracle trainer.
@@andyboytellemm No problem, glad to help! The one other thing I forgot to say is that I can't promise how well this will do in PVP, since I don't like Soulsborne PVP and I don't engage with it if I can help it. It's possible that some spells that are really good in PVE are much less good in PVP, but I wouldn't know. It's also possible that Second Chance is frowned upon in PVP, since some spells like it were frowned upon in the PVP scenes of later games. That still ultimately shouldn't change much on your end, but it is possible that if you use it and win, some really salty people might send you angry messages if it is a Demon's Souls PVP faux pas. If you're just playing normally, though, it shouldn't matter. Anything goes if you get invaded, for both you and the invader. The invader is going to use every trick in the book to kill you, so you defending yourself with every OP spell in the book is more or less just a countersign to that.
@@quintonhoffert6526 dude thank you for all of this. Definitely when I get the chance to finally get a PlayStation imma follow through with a lot of this.
Not sure if this has been said but if you are playing a mage character. The magic apprentice is also in the Nexus adjacent to the faith guy. Cowboy said it was just the faith guy that was there. But, flame toss is a really important spell to get off of the mage apprentice. So, I thought this bared mentioning that he is actually in the Nexus the same time the faith guy arrives.

@11:50. dont run at an angle. Go straight off the ledge. Also dont use circle to run. then just roll jump off. If you go straight and not at an angel you should be able to do it in a few tries.
Hi FightinCowboy, for the Regenerator Ring skip, u just have to unequip all of your equipment and weapons to be much more light to jump further/ higher
There is also a compound long bow in the area that is the best bow in the game, especially for dex builds, that is accessible. When first entering the ruins and going left past the trap, go up the stairs. At the top you can look over to a lone skeleton archer. Drop underneath and fight 2 skeleton warriors (whatever they’re called) and run up to the top to claim it. Also there’s a small pit behind the Vanguard Demon (he’s easy enough to run past). If you go down there, there’s a false wall with 2 skeleton warriors. If you can manage to take them out, go straight down the hallway to find the grave robber. His cell is opened with a key found right under where you do the regenerator ring roll. Graverobber Blige sells arrows for half the price of Bodwin in Nexus. Sorry, I guess I’m biased towards dex/archer builds
To make that roll for the regenerator's ring = simply walk ,don't run, towards lower part of the wall to the slight right. Walk and tap O/dodge and voila. Makes it easy AF and repeatable.
DUDE! I came back to this one for anyone trying to do the regen ring skip. TAKE OFF ALL YOUR EQUIPMENT then roll. I did it first try after trying this over and over!
I just lined up where you were and kept rolling. No running. Got two rings from that area and saw the boss I definitely wasn't prepared to do anything with but die.

Backstab sweet spot look like it might take some getting used to, especially coming from DS3. Might be me, but looks like a lot don’t land when you think they should... 🧐
I think with the skeletons it is because they do a wide swing meaning their back isnt always straight. I usually dodge and backstab off center a bit if they are mid-swing
@@krylesangerbeaver yeah that’s true. I think if you circle and don’t drop your shield in time and then go for the backstab, you do a normal attack. Either they have been put to sword a fair few times now - got the plat and on fourth play through! 😊👍

started this after finishing bloodborne, lost 20 thousand souls early game trying to get back to that gray demon for no reason and shut down ps5, what a fun game
for the regenerator ring i tried unequipping everything and the skip would be much easier after that there is a really simple bird boss that you can get some souls from and a bonfire thanks a lot for the help
Magic build actually is best melee early on. After beating 1-1 I put all souls into endurance, getting it up to around 20.. then go straight to 4-1 for the crescent falchion +1 -- "A" scaling with magic. To get to the falchion, turpentine on Scimitar from 1-1 helps with the skellies , which you get from 1-1. The 20 endurence helps you tank them. I can get the Crescent Falchion +1 first pass through of 4-1 with the Turpentine. Then you can level there very quickly getting magic high.. as magic goes up you get sick damage with the Falchion +1. Then I proceed onto 4-2 4-3 and 4-4. By 4-4 I have Crescent falchion +5 and do like 350 or 400 damage per quick swing :) Also since Talisman of God is there in 4-1 you can get that and pay 5000 souls for Heal. Then heal all day without buying grass as Crescent Falchion regens the mana. Magic build is sick and overpowered :) Within a few hours I can get Magic to 45 and do beastly damage with the Falchion. Farm the reaper mini boss over and over for sick xp and the shards and chunks you need to upgrade the Falchion. Also you might want to upgrade Crescent Kilij at same time.. also found in 4-1.
It's quicker to use the crescent falchion on the phalanx minions on the Lord's path. You can strike them right in the shield twice and kill them instead of trying to navigate behind them. So much quicker for farming upgrade mats.
For those that did manage to get the regenerator ring, just jump off the cliff after getting it or use your arcstone to yeet your way home. You don't want to fight that boss right now since there's an achievement attached to him.

Took me about 10-ish tries. Also, be careful of the trap at the bottom of that hole you are rolling over. And Cowboy, you are the effin best there is. You are the reason I got my plat for Bloodborne. Thanks to you and your team, bro.
Where are you supposed to be rolling to?
i litteraly played this game for 12 hours and only did 1-1. HOw is this guy slaying through these levels like its nothin?
Probably since he is sort of a souls veteran.
Same here 🤣🤣
U get better but cowboy been doing this for awhile so he is use to it
exactly bruh i’ve played 6 hours and still haven’t defeated Phalanx lmao
@@myskrillaa if u need help a summon or juss better weapons I can help but don’t quit Umbassa
A basic club does them in in 3 quick hits haha
holy shit just tried this after dying over and over again, works so well LOL
the halberd is also a lot better than falchion or axe
Thanks bro little info like that make my world easy
I am playing this for the first time and it is painfully addictive 😁. Also it's my first souls game ever, so your videos really helped me, managed to beat the vanguard demon today in the tutorial. Appreciate your effort putting this together. Also it's hard to believe how easy you make it look
how many souls games have u finished now
@@9ade571Damn.... I kinda hope he responded because after my first i became a "souls-borne" junkie. Ds3, BB, ER
11:45 to do the ring skip take off all your armour and weapons. Roll directly into where the wall is broken. (Where there is bricks missing)
Hope this helps.
Taking off all items made this so easy 👍
I watched you do that ring skip while I was in bed, just doing a review for when I played the next day. I was like “welp I’m not going to be able to pull that skip off”.
Well here I am now I just pulled it on the first try. I’m in awe right now
For the regenerator skip walking as close to the edge as I could and then rolling straight forward toward the darker shadowy area on the bricks worked first try for me. After about 30 tries with a run up lol
6:25 welcome to souls
Regarding the Dozer Axe (from the wiki)
"At 30 Strength the Crushing Great Axe outperforms this weapon 372 > 340 and weighs 12 less with the same moveset. It is harder to farm the materials for, however, making the Dozer Axe a better option if you're short on time."
So its really not a big deal unless youre the kind of collector who has to have every item. Personally, I like to try to collect every weapon and piece of gear in the game, so I get it.
9:20 you can run down the hallway hugging right side of wall to get through without a shield and get through before the first arrows fire. Just make sure you dont run out of endurance.
Back again for another walkthrough I use your walkthroughs for all souls like games love your videos and think you for helping me git gud
Don't roll diagonally, roll directly to the right from where you enter (to get to the ring area).
You also don’t need to run.
If I'm not mistaken, he needed to removed most, if not all of the character's equipment in order to increase the rolling distance.
My third soulsgame with cowboy. this time on ps5. great guides, thanks.
Just wondering why you didn't pick up the Compound Long bow in this video?
Anyone know the best way to farm grasses? I can farm souls and buy, but there must be a better way. Great video!
@Kieran Rice yeah and its about 900 souls per run rlly good for starting characters
The red knight from the 1st are also nearly always drops healing grass
i got that roll onto the ledge thing first try 😂
To get that roll trick for the regent ring, Removing all armor helps A LOT ,kept failing then went naked and I got it 1st try.
Same
As others have said, to get the regenerator ring, just unequip all armor and then do the roll.
These videos have been tremendously helpful.
If you have trouble rolling for that regeneration ring just take off all your armor/weapons.. you'll hit it EVERY time 👍
A good strategy for dealing with the skeleton knights in 4-1 is to just use your fists. No idea why but they're super weak to fist attacks.
Gotta give it a try because my sword was doing nothing to them
Love your guides man thank you very much!
I believe the mace is the pickup on your left....... good luck
I considered including the mace in this but felt like it was a bit risky since it's farther in with a fair amount of ambushes
what does 5-1 mean i see u guys referencing different #'s like this in the wikki too ty in advance
@@maradei oh so there are 5 stones right. We just number them from left to right and the second number is which bonfire. So you start off with 1-1 through 5-1 unlocked.
@@maradei basically 5-1 is the first stage of the fifth stone
OG Demons Souls didn't have individual names like this one does so zones were called after the arcstone. For example 1-2 was Boletaria, Phalanx Arcstone instead of Lord's Path.
I got the regen ring roll straight away thinking you’d get it too, then you didn’t… and I was alone, never been more terrified 🤣
I find it's easier to get the regenerator ring if you get naked before you roll
Thank you man
That’s what she said
That’s exactly how I got it
Thanks man that helped a lot
I just got the regenerator ring using your skip! Thank you! Just gotta be sure to sprint at that point before rolling, seems to help! Though I did get stuck on the other side! 😂
The first few skeletons in the level stun lock me every time
To get the regenerator ring I think it's easier if unequip all your armor. Kind of like getting to the crows by the jump in ds1.
I agree. I tried and tried and tried and then took off all my stuff and did it on the second attempt.
I was wondering why he didn't do that
Hey I was wondering if later down the line if you would do a magic build walkthrough?
The only time I’ve ever seen him do a magic walk through was years ago for dark souls 2
@@quintonhoffert6526 Holy shit dude. Im doing a Magic build and this helped me a lot. Thank you!
I have a question, I was able to get the regenerate ring but how do I get back to nexus ? Don't want to lose my souls.
archstone if you Have one
@@myskrillaa i fucking love you for that
I accidently did the ring skip first try before he explained how to do it
U can get the regenerative ring by reducing ur weight then doing the roll.. easy... take off ur armour
6:30 why is dying fine as long as you're not in body form?
Not sure if this has been said but if you are playing a mage character. The magic apprentice is also in the Nexus adjacent to the faith guy. Cowboy said it was just the faith guy that was there. But, flame toss is a really important spell to get off of the mage apprentice. So, I thought this bared mentioning that he is actually in the Nexus the same time the faith guy arrives.
The fact I got that roll 2nd try makes me wanna play the game😭. I was gonna quit if I took more than 10. I was running out of leaves to regenerate my health. This is much needed🤝🏽😭
Honestly just got the game. You run through enemies like it’s nothing. I’ve never played such a difficult game in my life
Like it’s fun to watch. but there’s gotta be an easier way. I’m struggling every fight with these damn skeletons
@@Burlesxn You can do it bro. I remember back in 2016 when I bought Bloodborne with zero knowledge about souls games. I thought I wasted my money since I didnt understand how im supposed to progress with such a complex and difficult setting. Decided to still try and watched a few videos and in no time I fell in love with it. Platinued it and then played every other title in the series. Just have patience and dont stress. And remember that Cowboy has played through all the soulsbornesekiro games and Demons souls is the easiest one imo so its no surprise that he makes the game look easier than it is for someone whos new to this series.
@@myluckyday4368 yeah this is my first game of this series and it’s hard af lol but I like it I’m stuck in the part where you die and get stuck in the middle world
Thank you you for the guide Mr. Cowboy. Very helpfully. Greetings from Germany
The world tendency thing baffled me and I stopped after the phalanx boss and never went back. I'm enjoying watching this though.
"The magic builds involve tactics that are eh kinda cheesy..." Earned my sub.
@11:50. dont run at an angle. Go straight off the ledge. Also dont use circle to run. then just roll jump off. If you go straight and not at an angel you should be able to do it in a few tries.
Thanks for these videos, you are a saver. first time playing Demon's Souls
Those things were still shooting at me and both skeletons came at once. Felt bad.
I can’t catch where you grabbed the bow to upgrade and kill the dragon on the next video
DUDE! I came back to this one for anyone trying to do the regen ring skip. TAKE OFF ALL YOUR EQUIPMENT then roll. I did it first try after trying this over and over!
''welcome on back''. Ladies and gentlemen, the one and only..
Question for the Strength gang, I got lucky I guess and pulled a claymore would that be a good use over the battle axe that Cowboy picked up?
Trick to get the Regenerator Ring: Become naked. Remember how Cowboy got the Iaito in Dark Souls Blighttown?
I just lined up where you were and kept rolling. No running. Got two rings from that area and saw the boss I definitely wasn't prepared to do anything with but die.
Like Mario Kart! Thank you, Cowboy. Awesome guides, since day 1.
I took all of my armor off for the ring and it was so much easier don’t know if it did anything but it felt like it did
Cowboy: "Probably should just shield him like I did with the first one. Seems like a better strategy"
Also Cowboy, getting rekt for not using his shield 😆
Hey man thanks again but i think that for people like me who burnt threw there healing supplies should get the regenerates ring, even if its hard to get keep trying till you get the roll its very helpful
Regenarater skip you can do it first try if you uneuip everything. The less weight helps you get over the wall easier when you roll
To get Regenerators ring make sure to take off all your armor before rolling…. Helps a lot
Backstab sweet spot look like it might take some getting used to, especially coming from DS3. Might be me, but looks like a lot don’t land when you think they should... 🧐
TIP: When you backstab DO NOT have your shield up, it will cancel the backstab and make you attack normally.
@@8pibrewing867 i just got the 100% yesterday. With firestorm and knowing the shortcuts/routes this game goes pretty quick. Now onto MK11 and Immortal Fenyx for me :)
I did that regenerator ring from the first attempt, I’m not sure what’s the issue there. I actually got stuck, but thanks to the pinned comment I understood what to do next
started this after finishing bloodborne, lost 20 thousand souls early game trying to get back to that gray demon for no reason and shut down ps5, what a fun game
for the regenerator ring i tried unequipping everything and the skip would be much easier
after that there is a really simple bird boss that you can get some souls from and a bonfire
thanks a lot for the help
was a pain in the ass to get the crescent falchion, but now that I have it, damn that was worth it!! ty cowboy
Incredible walkthrough. Your videos are wonderful introductions to these games.
By 4-4 I have Crescent falchion +5 and do like 350 or 400 damage per quick swing :)
Also since Talisman of God is there in 4-1 you can get that and pay 5000 souls for Heal.
Take armour and weapons off to help with rolling folks
It's quicker to use the crescent falchion on the phalanx minions on the Lord's path. You can strike them right in the shield twice and kill them instead of trying to navigate behind them. So much quicker for farming upgrade mats.
Idk how the flying things almost never shot at you during the part with the big ol fat demon, shoot at me every 5 seconds
