In America it's Classic Barbershop fragrance. Classic Barbershops always sold Clubman product as well as used it on customers. I know because I'm an old retired Barber from the old days. I still use Pinuad Clubman product and will till I die.
I think Clubman is an excellent value, and gets even better after being transferred to a glass bottle. I would especially recommend it to someone who wants to have only one or a select few high-value classic scents. I also like Clubman body powder and shaving foam. For the summer, I'm very impressed with another Pinaud product, Citrus Musk eau de cologne.
I find Clumban classic to be a good spring/summer aftershave when paired with a modestly mentholated shave soap. I detect more powder and lavender than you do. In the fall, it is Whiskey Woods, which to me is like a toned down Special Reserve. Nice tobacco, bergamot and wood scents. In winter, something spicy like Bay Rum or Cognac Neat is nice paired with a gourmand shave soap like one of the Italian almond scented soaps.

Definitely it’s a good brand

Whiskey woods seem good, special réserve smell great, but definitely need to be toned down.
I found it paired well with Quorum EDT.
horrible aftershave it darkens my skin and drastically makes bleeding worse also drys my skin out and the smell is horrible
You are probably in a class of 1.
