I drove JCBs in the UK from the early fixed boom models, JCB 3s and then an early release from the factory 3CX. Had a JCB engineer with me for a week making adjustments and doing tests. This went back to the factory and I got a brand new one and a box of JCB clothes. The points I liked best was the power slide on the boom enabled me to slide the boom in tight areas, before I would need to either pull out and set or if possible scoot the rear end across. This made for faster progress. The 4 in 1 front bucket, this allowed grading to within an inch. The company I worked for was one of the biggest UK contractors Sir Robert McAlpine and we were building an outer and inner ring road system, so the grading bucket allowed me to grade out smaller sections of sub base ready for asphalt laying. I never attended a car crash though I have assisted with slipped loads using the front forks. The police need to give you a set of blue lights and horns to get through traffic quicker. Well done and thanks for posting.
Good job. I would have dropped my wheel in the ditch and rolled while focusing on getting lined up with the wreck. I'm always surprised at how many little things my brain misses while operating the machine.

To be more than fair, if I see a backhoe weaving in and out of traffic, I’m going to assume he’s a lunatic city worker. Now if the backhoe hdd flashing lights and sirens, that would be a different story.

That was a great service to your community! Just a question, why couldn't the police give you an escort through the possible oncoming traffic side of the road? As no fault of your own a driver could have crashed into your backhoe because of poor awareness/driving.

They DID call a tow truck - didn't you see the blue car being loaded onto it by the JCB? But the tow truck - like most tow trucks - didn't have the means to turn the white car right side up, did it?
@@jackx4311 yup....that i know.. here at my country we only use a tow truck...that means we have the thing call WINCH...so we use that thing.. accept for big truck accident...we use big tow truck and crane... that's mean we take care the scenes a lot faster rather than wait for slow moving backhoe.. it's means no long queue traffic..
