    Really looking forward to seeing you apply these grafts and the tree physiology behind it. How to perform large cuts on maples without dieback is just something that's rarely covered on TH-cam. Have spread the word on UK bonsai forums about your channel.

      @@Hiryuen-bonsai-eng On the tree you applied lots of sacrifice grafts to the edge of the wound, how long would you leave each sacrifice before cutting them away? If you leave them too long they will just create ANOTHER big wound for you to heal.

    I have a question about Hime Shara. How do you develope a nice nebari with such fine roots?

    • @Hiryuen-bonsai-eng
      @Hiryuen-bonsai-eng  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you are right, it takes even more time. Basically the techniques are the same but you have to apply them more delicately

    On the wound on the nabari. How do you keep it from rotting without it beings covered with wound paste. Lime sulfer ?

    HI Andrea, its so cool your making videos, I've been using your maple book over the past few years for reference. My friend has a similar tree you yours which he sold to me a few months ago (he grew it for 40years), and inspired by your book I'm in the process of mending it. I thought about many different techniques of Ebehara to start the process and finally decided to use
    air-layers to fill the missing trunk and nabari, this will also give me some branches to use (my tree has damage all the way nearly to the apex).
