What type of grafts did you do? I’ve scion grafted shishigashira onto a small root over rock Japanese maple, interest to know of these were scions or approach/thread grafts you did?

Does the putty you're using smell like burnt hair? We have a type of putty in the U.S. called Oatys fix-it-stick that smells like burning hair or something.

the branches you have grafted across the large wound, are they just to fill the space?

if one whole side of the tree has died how would you approach it. I am trying to airlayer some branches and them graft them in. so I can have branches and roots at the same time. what do you think? many thanks, love the book!

Beautiful tree. Thick trunk. Lots of character wholes and scars. And I like that. Closing the wholes and making all the grafts to to stimulate the closing is a little to much. Perfect tree but less character. Less is more.

It would be really useful to put written captions about why you put grafts all round the large wound near the end of the video. I'm guessing they are sacrifice branches to power the callus production round the wound and they'll be cut away later? There seems far too many to keep them all? Having written captions with the screenshot of the work would really aid understanding.
