Thank you for sharing this beautiful tree. I loved the fine detail of the single root you are growing to correct the small gap. This tree has such an amazing bankon 🪨 growing! 😮
I haven’t completed a peg-graft yet, but maybe I will have the chance in the future. 😅
Also, thank you for the help with shipping your book, I can’t wait to read it!! 🙏🏽 🪴 🍁

very good work and the video is simply excellent. I am absolutely delighted with your work table. Could Ibuy it somewhere or is it self-made? Best wishes from Austria Lacky

Cool video, thanks! What i wonder: Why are the grafts inserted this way? The branch will be growing then upwards first then, no? Shouldn't it grow with an angle outwards? I have no idea of grafting, but soon i have to do 2-3 grafts as well on my field maple :)

I can answer for Andrea: he grafted this way to move the whole branches to other positions on the tree; first year to graft on the seedling, second year to move the branch on the right position on the trunk, third year he will remove the seedling from the branch. He made a video few days ago on this tecnique (th-cam.com/video/3Rn11C8_65w/w-d-xo.html)

@@diegobenedetti6569... Holly cow! Incredible that this works, i would scare that the end where he cuts off, part of the branch would die back and the graft would never bond. That's really cool that this works! Thx for thr answer

Hey andrea, how long until you fertilize after repotting?

May i ask why you remove so much roots, when you dont even put it in shallower pot. I would think that removing more than needed would make it have less energy, so better to remove less roots at a time?

Because it was necessary my friend, this is what means to work in the proper way.
You can find explanation at your dubts in my book

@@Hiryuen-bonsai-eng I understand it needed better soil, more airation etc. But i believe by removing more than needed roots would mean bigger chance for dieback or other problems? Sometimes in the bonsai hobby i see people removing almost 90% of the roots, but that would mean it is way more of a risk as well, that it doesnt benefit the health or that may just be me looking into overall biology in trees

I'm in the NEast USA and my maples are just starting to expand their buds, and some have 1cm leaves. Only one has 2 and 3cm leaves. By late May, the leaves are hardened off. On the growing tips, the apical meristem is active with plant growth regulators to stimulate a callus and let the callus cells differentiate into roots.
