Thank you glad you enjoy it. Nice watch but most clients request the 40mm as this is now considered a unisex model. Unless you have small wrists for a lady then go with the 37mm.
That was a great video - thank you! I learnt a lot! I'd a hunch something serious was going to happen to the Daytona range. My personal holy grail watch is the 116503 with a Black dial (I know the pro's and con's but it's my ideal Daytona). This now becomes the 126503 with some subtle changes to the dial face and I think a new movement. What I do not know is whether it's worth staying on the register with my AD and hope for the best that one day... Or, simply buy a 116503? With such small changes will we really see the discontinued watch gain in value? It's currently about £2k extra on the grey market!

Books and videos are a great way to learn information but for me the best way would be to work in the industry with someone who is reputable and learn from inside the business.. no better training 👍🏻
Offset solid platinum back piece? That threads onto the body in platinum? Not easy part to manufacture in platinum. Notice they only put this on the platinum daytona - why not on a steel sub or gmt? Why on their most luxurious watch? Seems out of place. A tool watch owner might appreciate seeing the movement but no one is going to now decide they really need the platinum daytona so they can watch the parts inside move. And that platinum bezel edge is going to be really easy to damage - it was better without that extra ring. A knurled ring would have been really interesting and less prone to damage.
By far the best content on TH-cam if you love Rolex, always informative and excellent visuals. Love the Yorkshire accent and the numerous white shirts.

Great watch and best dial in this model. We sell so many of them. It’s not a steel Daytona with regards appreciation but it is good long termer as goes up nicely over time.

I am really disappointed with Rolex in regards to the Emotions & Emoji Daydates, something you wouldn’t expect to see in their catalogue, no doubt shortly to be seen on a Rappers wrist just following the likes of AP and their Superhero Offshores! Like you said too much of a historic heavy hitter to mess with imo. My initial thoughts on the alterations on the New references and dial configurations are positive but ultimately history & experience tells us to wait and see once you’ve held in hand. It is called out of catalogue piece because it is literally not in their catalogue, and just a concept piece that will probably be limited to few pieces a year! It is fun to see them surprising everyone, that is what they are good at!

The biggest shock on the steel Daytona you didn’t mention is the Bulky Case from the precious metal versions. It looks like a zombie now . The asymmetrical teardrop-shaped case of the Steel Daytona was unchanged Since Zenith model’s of the 80s. I also don’t like the steel frame on the bezel. And the dial looks awful. But like you said, we will become used on it

I like the last year version better on the Panda. Removing more black contrast looks closer to a plan white watch to me.

The new platinum daytona has a crystal back because it is cheaper to produce without the solid platinum back.

There is grey market bias on the white gold watches in my opinion. Buy what you love, not what others tell you to love or what they think is hot.
