Omg how I loved watching these two smiling, reminiscing and bantering!! Wonderful performances by both! There's such a different feel when Charity is with Vanessa, than when she's with Mac. She's... happier, she's... "the best version" of herself, I suppose. LOL. But, I don't really remember Charity telling Mac that they were soo over. Did I miss that because it's something I didn't wanna hear or... did Charity make that up on the fly? To me, it's soo evident that it's not sooo over. At least not for Charity. And Emma really plays that well... with the look in her eyes and her body language! She's so freaking good!!
My favorite line from Charity is her saying Mackenzie has nothing to worry about you and I are so over. Yet she kept ignoring Ryan's calls. That's definitely not a woman who is over her boo 😏
I loved Emma and Michelle they both performed amazingly. I love that charity look at vanessa when saying she's the best of the bunch and Vanessa Little quick sad face and shock to deflect even if it was for a quick second before she called "him" cute. But I think she said that more to keep the peace and think charity has truly moved on ,even though everyone else knows she wants vanessa back massively, like come on she ironed a shirt V gave her. Plus when they hang out next she's wearing the hoodie Vanessa got her for her birthday in 2020. Side note and probs not gonna happen but I feel like it a bit strange they have got Marcus (peirces son) to join a week after charity dumbs "him". Like I know vanessa probs gonna be uneasy around him because his dad kidnapped her and drug her son infront of her, and that. But is it because they are going to revist the trauma as well as Rhona's and have charity be there for vanessa and help calm her and be her rock and help build up trust. Plus having rhona and vanessa at odds may have rhona say to vanessa she's clearly inlove with charity out of spite and is lying to herself, which caused her to go out and find someone else, just to try and prove her wrong.
Plus like they both were clearly flirting with each other and there's no doubt about that but scared she's gonna get ba ck with "him" as she think vanessa doesn't care. But like that will never change unless she leaves him.
Who was she trying to convince? Charity or herself because it is clear she’s still very much in love with her. They both are. They couldn’t look each other in the face at all when denying their feelings. Vanessa looked away when she said they were cool now that it’s over and same thing with Charity. She looked away when saying that too. Can’t even face the other person when in denial. It’s deliciously painful to see how much they love each other. Fell right back into that comfortable banter like nothing. Charity laughing care free at Vanessa’s teasing…? Oh I missed this! 🥰
But Vanessa is right though. They wouldn't have worked as they were because the Charity she was with was reactive, selfish, vengeful, and impulsive. Yeah, Vanessa was a good influence but it didn't stop Charity from doing things that were detrimental to their relationship and those around them. And through it all Vanessa forgave her time and time again and apologized for Charity's behavior to others time and time again because she loved her but honestly love isn't enough. That said I do believe she still loves Charity but that love is clouded in the grief of what used to be and the grief of what Charity put her through. BUT Vanessa doesn't know this Charity who is a different person (not as reactive and more humble and reflective) so it will be interesting to see how she responds and whether she allows herself to let this version of Charity in.

I've been reading a lot of comments and I think people don't quite understand how this has impacted Vanessa because she's done all of her grieving offscreen and Charity's has been before our eyes so there's a disconnect. When put into the proper context of the entirety of their relationship, Vanessa's responses (good and bad) make sense.
My Dad used to read me bedtime stories and I loved them! But as I got older I realised he never actually read the story he’d get bored and make up his own version😂❤️.
My Cousin was just as bad. I'd read him Bedtime Stories from the Disney Catalogue and he wouldn't "Sleep". I later realized he did it so he could stay up. He loved having me there especially when we visited our Grandparents. The Gazebo is also synonymous on Guiding Light. Natalia finally admits to Olivia that she loves her on her Wedding Day to Frank Cooper. Then Olivia confronts her about leaving her.
Ryan does my head in so much as a character… he seems annoyed at Charity here but she has no idea what’s gone on and neither of them try that hard to fill her in, no doubt she’ll be the villain for that in the next ep 🙄

It was great to see Charity and Vanessa together but I don't think it was enough to reassure us fans that a reunion is going to happen. But Vanessa " we never quite aligned"? I seem to remember they were “perfect for each other”? They should have been MARRIED before the "kidnap, cancer" episodes! How aligned du need to be? Mac and Ryan's behaviour here is ridiculous! If they felt Charity was ignoring their calls, why not pop round the corner to the park?! Ryan sulking with her over something she knew absolutely nothing about is so childish.

Real reason was, Ness had a final follow up appointment about her cancer. She got the all clear & didn't wanna worry Charity. Charity felt bad afterwards.
