Tomy Donald & Douglas were never released in the states, only in the UK-AUS. However, they were finally released in the states in 2008 for Trackmaster.
I’m sorry dreamline, but no way in a million years am I paying $1000 for plarail Douglas. I will forever get the Trackmaster Douglas alongside a TOMY Donald.
I remember in the Philippines, Donald was as common as can be. and that plarail was the only game in town until fisher price started releasing along side. but I only saw Douglas once in the mall, and he's still pretty hard to find compared to his twin.
I like edward toby and Donald and Douglas all 4 of them are my favourite thomas and friends characters (in my au of thomas and friends Donald and Douglas have Carlin(George Carlin) is also a CR 812 and he is their brother as well
I got a knock off Douglas when I realized that it was a knock off I was looking for a tomy Douglas I finally found one after 1 year of failure and its in my collection now with his twin donald
Their faces are backwards Donald had the big "James-like" Grin although I think during the Alec Baldwin era they switched faces but Donald always had the big grin

I got the HIT Toys Donald and it uses the same mold as the Tomy version. I don’t have Douglas, as he is, as you quote, hard to find.

I ended up buy a new Hit toys Douglas, it in way better condition, no scratches, stickers in mint condition, and only cost me about $30 bucks!
